Canadian singer Bryan Adams revealed he has tested positive for COVID for the second time despite being double vaccinated.
The 62-year-old performer tested positive at Milan’s Malpensa Airport after arriving for a trip on which he was supposed to promote Pirelli’s 2022 calendar.
His ability to attend in-person press events on Sunday and Monday now looks to be in doubt after he checked himself into hospital.
“Here I am, just arrived in Milano and I’ve tested positive for the second time in a month for Covid. So it’s off to hospital for me,” Adams said in in Instagram post.
A representative for the star told the NME that Adams had been double vaccinated.

The singer previously revealed that he had first been infected with COVID at the end of October, forcing him to pull out of a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
“Those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 can test positive for up to three months following infection, according to the CDC. Testing positive during that time does not necessarily mean one has been re-infected,” reports the Daily Mail.
Adams previously ranted about COVID in the context of slamming Chinese people who eat bats, although that COVID origin story is now highly doubtful.
“Thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold,” he stated.
Given that a new ‘variant’ of COVID has just been discovered in South Africa, Adams may unfortunately have to look forward to being infected for a third time.
