Calais, France. The “old” and “new” camps in the front and background respectively
Yesterday we reported that the French government was building new “housing” out of shipping containers for the “refugees” at the infamous Calais camp. According to a new report, the “old” camp- which is a ramshackle city resembling a Brazilian favela– will be demolished.
What makes this story so interesting is that the demolition will be on LIVE broadcast on Youtube. Given the violent nature of the Calais camp, things might be very interesting to watch.
