Joe Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg admitted that U.S. supply chain breakdowns will continue for months to come, but insisted that the holidays will be better because of Biden’s “leadership.”
Buttigieg appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday to sugarcoat the debilitating supply chain disruptions that have been occurring thanks to Biden’s vaccine mandate and COVID welfare and spending policies.
“Well, certainly, a lot of the challenges that we have been experiencing this year will continue into next year,” Buttigieg said. “But there are both short-term and long-term steps that we can take to do something about it. Look, part of what’s happening isn’t just the supply side. It’s the demand side. Demand is off the charts. Retail sales are through the roof.”

But despite the predicted months-long supply chain breakdown, Buttigieg insisted that the holidays will be “different this year” thanks to Biden’s “leadership.”
“What I know is, the holidays are going to be a lot better this year than they were last year,” Buttigieg said.
“A year ago, a lot of us were gathering with loved ones over a screen. It’s gonna be different this year because of the President’s leadership.”

Buttigieg had been on “paternity leave” for two months as the supply chain crisis was unfolding.
Biden’s transportation secretary isn’t the only White House lackey to recently defend the disastrous results of Biden’s policies.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Friday that the skyrocketing inflation under Biden was actually a “good thing” because it meant “more people are buying goods.”
“The fact is the unemployment rate is about half what it was a year ago. So a year ago, people were in their homes,” she told CNN. “Ten percent of people were unemployed. Gas prices were low because nobody was driving. People weren’t buying goods because they didn’t have jobs. Now more people have jobs. More people are buying goods. That’s increasing the demand. That’s a good thing.”
