VICE Magazine is not known for its support of virtue, as we know well here at Shoebat.com. Indeed, it tends to cover and support stories of a rather scandalous nature. As such, the magazine has a naturally liberal bend. It has come out in the past of support for many deviant causes. Vice is well-known to Shoebat.com because they attempted and failed to entrap Shoebat.com writer Theodore Shoebat over his influential “Gay Cake” article and accompanying video.
However, in a documentary which came out on February 10th, 2016, VICE has done an excellent piece about rescuing former Muslims from the communities in which they live.
You will notice as you watch it, many of these Muslims call themselves “atheists.” As I have noted before, most former Muslims are not “atheists” but are really agnostics because they are not sure what to think about religion. After all, consider if from their perspective- if you were raised from birth to believe in a supreme diety who lauds murder, rape, and other anti-social behavior, how could you not have questions about who God is, and even if he exists?
You will also notice there is some support which they still allude to in favor of the “refugees.” That said, it does not detract from the documentary’s basic character.
As you listen to their stories, behind each of these former Muslims is a person who is either seeking Jesus and does not know Him yet or who has started his walk with Him and has risked all to do so.
