According to recent reports, California has just launched the Armed Prohibited Persons system, a program that may be one of the most unconstitutional ones we’ve seen yet
The program is designed to disarm dangerous felons and people with serious mental illnesses, but has since been modified to include anyone who has committed a felony, as well as anyone who as needed a psychiatrist or taken drugs.
As if that weren’t enough, the legislation may also extend to anyone who has been involved in a domestic dispute and will put anyone who has been convicted of even a minor misdemeanor under review.
The legislation has received obvious backlash from the conservative community. Should having a few rough years really strip you of your second amendment rights for life?
Regardless of the backlash, we’ve seen the beginning of gun confiscation in California. Meanwhile, the state has also armed another 36 agents and 20,000 more officers to help to support the initiative.
What do you think? Do we have to protect our second amendment rights before things get out of control?
