Perhaps the most revolutionary of their kind in Christian history, a series of recent archaeological discoveries are believed to not only prove that Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible existed, but that His life and death as portrayed in the scriptures happened exactly as described.
Atheists, Muslims, and anti-Christians are squirming to disprove the most critical passages in the New Testament; however, the discoveries are being exhumed at an alarming rate.
Biblical scholar and author Robert Hutchinson has compiled the most recent archaeological findings regarding Jesus Christ into his new book Searching for Jesus, and the conclusions are nothing short of historically phenomenal.
The Christian Post reports that Hutchinson claims that these particular discoveries not only prove that Christ is real, but disprove that He was simply an apocalyptic prophet or a “good man.”
“There was incredible discoveries that were being made in New Testament studies that were just revolutionary,” Hutchinson, a scholar who has spent years in Israel studying the New Testament, told The Christian Post in an interview.
“I found that nobody was talking about this in the media. They were still repeating theories about Jesus and the gospels that are a century old — the idea that Jesus was a deluded fanatic, an apocalyptic prophet who thought the world was going to end in his lifetime.”

Perhaps the most vital discovery proving the existence of the Son of God is theossuaries of James and Caiaphas, two of twelve bone boxes uncovered in a burial cave in Jerusalem. The first contains the remains of the man who many believe to be Jesus’ brother James. Of course, the second belongs to the biblical Caiaphas, the ancient high priest and bitter Sadducee enemy of Jesus.
“They are discovering archaeological proof, if it is authentic, then it is the first archaeological proof for Jesus. That’s just really, really exciting that they are coming up with the burial boxes of people mentioned in the New Testament,” Hutchinson said.
“A lot of what the people say in the claim that Jesus doesn’t exist is that there is no archaeological proof for any of these people,” Hutchinson added. “They said the same thing about Pontius Pilate, that there is no archaeological proof of him but in 1961 they uncovered an inscription in Caesarea, which proved that Pilate existed.”
Archaeologists not only found 1st-century Nazareth housing, they found what they believe to the home of Jesus Christ.
Doubters also claimed that there could be no Jesus of Nazareth, since “Nazareth didn’t exist during the time of Christ.” However, nay-sayers had to bite their tongues after researchers found a stone house in Nazareth dated back to the time of Jesus. In fact, in 2006, archaeologists found the very abode that they believe housed Joseph, Mary, and young Jesus.
Incredible evidence continues to come forward, yet doubters cling stubbornly to denial. Yet, the most celebrated, hated, and well-known man in history has more archaeological finds confirming his existence than even prominent religious and historical figures thousands of years after Him.
However, we who believe understand that this is no matter of physical proof, but of faith. The more we trust in our Creator, the more He rewards us with proof of His unconditional love and promise. No amount of evidence can convince those who’ve hardened their hearts, nor can it repulse any believers who have opened theirs.
Although it may strive, science cannot disprove the Word, for how can a thing disprove its own creator? Hopefully, these fastidious nay-sayers will find reason that quite literally brings them to their knees in their efforts to erase truth, as it did for some of the most revered people of the Holy Bible.
Perhaps it’s time for some of these doubters to open a Bible and see exactly why it’s the most read book of all time, and why they fight so hard to disprove something they believe is completely irrelevant in the first place.
