Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard should be investigated by the Justice Department for spewing pro-Russia propaganda, The View shrew Ana Navarro asserted Monday.

Addressing a report from Mother Jones claiming the Kremlin ordered state-friendly news outlets to air more Tucker clips, in addition to the Fox host’s coverage of US-funded Ukrainian biolabs, Navarro accused Carlson and Gabbard of “shilling for Putin.”

“I think DOJ, in the same way that it is setting up a task force to investigate Russian oligarchs, should look into people who are Russian propagandists and shilling for Putin,” the part time CNN commentator said.

“If you are a foreign asset to a dictator, it should be investigated, and, in fact, I remember when Tulsi Gabbard, and I hate that we’re discussing it because I think to myself, who is this woman? She’s a, you know, she’s no longer in Congress. She’s a failed presidential candidate.”

“She only practically exists on Twitter, and if that is correct, we’re giving her oxygen is what makes her relevant, but we are talking about her on ‘Hot Topics,’” Navarro continued. “But on the other hand, how do you not call out something that is repeating false Russian propaganda and that has been brought down?”

Chiming in on the despotism, co-host Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that in the old days propagandists would be arrested.

“They used to arrest people for doing stuff like this,” Whoopi agreed. “If they thought you were colluding with a Russian agent or putting out information or taking information and handing it over to Russia, they used to investigate stuff like this.”

“And I guess now, you know, there seems to be no bars. And people are not being told to hate Putin. Putin doesn’t need a reason to be hated. It’s pretty much clear.”

Tucker last week hosted Gabbard, who argued US-funded biolabs in Ukraine “need to be shut down immediately. They are insecure, they are posing a threat to the world, they need to be shut down immediately.”

The former Hawaiian Democrat House rep. continued railing against the Ukrainian biolabs on Twitter Monday, despite Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) accusing her of spreading lies about the existence of the biolabs, and of “parroting false Russian propaganda,” adding that “Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.”

“@MittRomney, you have called me a ‘treasonous liar’ for stating the fact that ‘there are 25+ US-funded biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release & spread deadly pathogens to US/world’ and therefore must be secured in order to prevent new pandemics,” Gabbard tweeted at Romney Monday.

“Bizarrely, you claim that securing these labs (or even calling for securing these labs) is treasonous and will lead to a loss of life, when the exact opposite is obviously true. The spread of pathogens is what will cause the loss of life, not the prevention of such spread.”
