This comes as no surprise to us, as this has been going on for quite some time.
According to recent reports, the US government has been falsifying intelligence reports about ISIS and the threat of Islamic terrorist for...political gain:
An investigation by a congressional task force found officials in the Obama administration played down the threats from the Islamic State and al Qaeda, multiple sources told the Daily Beast late Tuesday.
A top U.S. general in the military's Central Command amended intelligence reports to present America's fight against terrorist groups in a more positive light than lower-level analysts said was the case.
The House Republicans investigating the matter are members of the House Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. A 10-page report detailing their findings over the past five months is expected to be released by the end of next week.
Earlier this year, 50 analysts filed a formal complaint claiming their reports on the terrorist groups had been altered by senior officials to make the U.S. look stronger in its fight to defeat terrorism than it actually was.
The Daily Beast did not confirm whether the White House was behind any instructions to doctor the reports that would eventually make their way to the public and could possibly affect elections later this year. President Obama, Defense Secretary Ash Carter and current CENTCOM Commander Army Gen. Joseph Votel subsequently instructed all future reports to be "unvarnished intelligence."
The Defense Department inspector general's office is also investigating the matter. But the Pentagon's separate probe may result with less information than Congress' because CENTCOM Intelligence Directorate Maj. Gen. Steven Grove and Civilian Deputy Gregory Ryckman deleted emails and files before turning the rest over to the inspector general's office.
Grove is no longer serving in that role as part of standard deployment rotation. He has been rotated to the Pentagon as the director of the Army Quadrennial Defense Review Office. (source)
This should be the top news story of the day, in my opinion, because it strikes to the heart of the crisis with Islam and the West today.
As I have stated before in my previous articles, Islam is a very weak religion. It does not train its followers to think in any way, and places providence in blind obedience to the commands of Muhammad without consideration as to whether or not they are objectively good or consistent with his actions. This is not "blind faith" in the sense of trusting in objectively revealed truth is what it is said to be, but rather that what is said to be objective truth has no relationship and indeed stands in conflict to other equal teachings also said to be of the same gravity.
Think of this as one example- the relationship of the Koran to Allah. Islam is very clear that Allah is the only God, and there is none other like him, and anybody who says anything that might suggest to the Muslim mind otherwise (and by that I do not mean anything in the sense of polytheism, but rather a more detailed explanation as to how the nature of Allah reconciles with his person and his revelations to men) is immediately branded a heretic, an apostate, and is subject to the most heinous punishments that Islam has to offer. This is the theological root of Islam's hatred of Christianity- it falsely calls Christianity a form of polytheism when the reality is that Christianity, as it encourages men to thinks and reason as part of our god-given capacity, has a more detailed, clearer, and developed understanding (per divine revelation) as to how God's nature actually works, whereas Islam is an overly-simplified, non-thinking "explanation" which cannot be challenged
However, at the same time, Islam also teaches that the Koran, the holy book of Islam, is both "uncreated and eternal," as in the uncreated and eternal word of Allah. This poses a huge problem because, summarized, only Allah can be uncreated and eternal because eternity means necessarily having neither a beginning or an end (as compared to aeviternal, which means having a beginning but no end, which is what man has), and this is emphasized by the "uncreated" aspect here. Indeed, if something never had a beginning and will not have an end, it necessarily is divine. However, since the Koran is not Allah, but both entities possess the same divine nature, the relationship between Allah and the Koran is that of the Father Jesus in Christianity. While Muslims will categorically deny this conclusion, they will not deny the premeses that lead to this conclusion. As such, Islamic belief simply becomes a matter of conjecture- it is like saying that putting peanut butter and jelly together on two pieces of bread is not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I note this example because it is one of many that shows how Islam really is a brainless religion for the willfully brainless. Governments throughout history going back to the days of Charlemagne have noted this, and as a result they seek economic and political dealings with Islamic governments because they are actually very easy to control if the right "pressures" are applied. This is solely for the gain of money and power, without regard to the spiritual welfare of the Muslim people. In terms of gain, Muslims are ideal to exploit because they operate under a herd mentality.
This approach works well...until it does not, which is what these same governments inevitably and always encounter. The same forces which enslave Muslims into the herds of group-think also provide the same forces which allow for them to later violently throw off these same shackles, attack, and many times conquer the same people who once controlled them, which almost always comes as a surprise to the former conqueror.
This is also why it is many times better to stay out of affairs with Muslims. Taking their money is taking the demon's candy- it is sweet and addictive, easy to get and easy to accumulate, but in the end will cost you everything and more because it is acquired through evil means as it was given with an evil end in mind.
We have been reporting for a long time here on Shoebat.com that the US government's involvement with the Muslim world boils down to two economic issues which are absolutely necessary for the US to continue in is place as the dominant power in the world. These are quick, easily accessible, and profitable sources of (a) light, sweet, crude oil and (b) rare-earth minerals used for commercial and military electronic equipment. Both of these economic resources are critical, and without them America's influence would rapidly vanish.
While America may have many Christians in it, as far as the government is concerned, it is wholly secular with regard to its decisions for economics. This serves as the basis for the policy decisions abroad, and is the reason why America has, sadly, been reduced in the eyes of many nations to something of a "lot lizard"- we will do anything with anybody and do not care so long as we get our fix for those two commodities.
The results of this foreign policy have been devastating, as evidenced by ISIS itself. While this story points out how the USA does not have a good "handle" on terrorism, the fact is that our government has made many terrorists to serve these policy reasons going back decades. One only needs to look back to the funding of the Taliban in the 1980s (which was not about communism, but about economic control of oil and minerals again)- if you do not remember, one only needs to watch the movie Charlie Wilson's War as a reminder.
A documentary about "Charlie Wilson's War," as it was his involvement who funded and created the Taliban
Now one cannot solely blame the US- many government have supported and created terrorist groups to support their own policy aim. The Soviets did it with the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II. The Turks recently did it with this whole faked coup in order to allow Erdogan to consolidate power and eliminate his opponents in what is left of the Turkish State.
The point of all this here is that the US government's lies about the situation with Islamic terror are twofold. The obvious scandal is the fact that the truth was not told and the people were lied to, but the second and greater scandal is that the US government has allowed for these terrorist groups to flourish with at times our own taxpayer monies supporting them in order to further economic and political gains at home and abroad. This was done because our government, as with the governments of the past, recognizes the easily manipulated nature of Muslim peoples and is using that for its own benefit.
At the same time, the lessons of the past apply equally today, as history makes no exceptions. The fact remains that the US is suffering rebellion from these same Muslim peoples it has attempted to control for so long, and now those problems abroad are being exported to our nation here. For as many an empire has learned the hard way, the Muslims can be manipulated until they can be any more.
