Fortunately, local Christians have adopted these children, ages from 9 to 16 and they survived the beatings. Nevertheless, this is another example of how love in Islam is conditional upon hating Jesus:

Eight Eastern Ugandan children were rejected by their families while another boy lies in a hospital recovering from an almost fatal head wound — all paying the heavy price when they refused to deny their faith in Christ.

According to Morning Star News, Christians from eastern Uganda have opened their homes to eight children from Busalamu village, Bukanga Sub-County after they have been beaten and rejected by their families because of their faith. The children, ages nine to 16, are still recovering from the injuries sustained from the beatings.

The parents, according to sources, tried to stop them from attending church services led by Pastor Brian Mukisa, 29, who started Power Gates Church. The children came to Christ through the pastor's visits.

"The parents have totally disowned them as infidels. They need prayers to come to terms with the separation from parents for choosing Christ," says Mukisa, according to the same media outlet.

"Busalamu is a Muslim stronghold," the pastor details, "and any church presence here will meet with strong resistance. We are worshipping in a temporary church structure, and we also appeal for financial assistance in assisting both the persecuted young children and our young upcoming church."

Their church building and property were destroyed by the angry parents with the help of a mosque leader named Imam Jengo and Muslim leaders Bavakuno Ibra and Kalemba Farouk. (source)

Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way -Luke 6:22-23
