At least eight people were killed in twin bombings that targeted a government building in southern Somalia's Bay region on Thursday, a security source and eyewitnesses have said.

Two bombings attack regional office in central Somalia and shook a government building in southern Somalia's Bay region on Thursday, according to eyewitnesses.
A suicide bomber blew himself up near the gate of the government headquarters of South West State shortly after a car bomb exploded at the same site, eyewitnesses told The Anadolu Agency.
In the brief interim between the two blasts, four militants with machine guns tried to storm the building, according to eyewitnesses.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts, which come one day after twin bombings rocked a Mogadishu hotel, injuring at least four people.
