Muslim terrorists in the Kaduna region of Nigeria recently slaughtered twenty one people, as we read in one report:
At least 21 people were confirmed killed in a fresh attack in southern Kaduna in North Central Nigeria on Monday.
The new incident happened in four communities in Kaura and Jama’a local government areas of the state.
The attack which has been confirmed by the Kaduna State Police spokesman, Aliyu Usman is coming barely two weeks after some herdsmen and indigenes of the communities in southern Kaduna signed a peace accord.
Usman said that more security operatives have been deployed to the affected areas in order to forestall further attacks.
Hundreds of People have been killed in Southern Kaduna by suspected Fulani Herdsmen.
The police earlier this month paraded arrested some suspects arrested in connection to crimes related to the crisis.
According to a statement from the force, the 17 suspects were arrested in Kafanchan, Kaduna state, north central Nigeria by officers of the a Joint Tactical Operation Squad set up by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
The National Emergency Management Agency in Nigeria (NEMA), has put the number of deaths that have occurred in the region, at 204.
While the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN place the death toll at 808 killed, a figure disputed by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
The Catholic Church also said 1,422 houses, 16 Churches, 19 shops, and one primary school were destroyed.
Despite the wide condemnation of the act and the deployment of security officials to the region, the attacks still continue as about a dozen was recently killed in three separate attacks in the region.However, Chairman of the Northern Governor’s Kashim Shettima, addressing Journalists at the end of the Forum’s meeting said the region governors have observed that the herdsmen involved in crisis are immigrants from Senegal and Mali.
