"Hate Speech" is codeword for "different opinion," and in the post-Christian Western world with a terminally ill economy, besieged from without by Muslim invaders and attacked from within by crony traitors, the powers that be who created the status quo are aggressively working to censor and prosecute people who expose their crimes by labeling their critics as "promoting hate":

A senior German conservative has warned Facebook it could face fines if it fails to act faster to tackle online hate speech, and he said the government could propose legislative measures in the new year.

Speaking at a party conference of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) in Essen, western Germany, Volker Kauder suggested politicians were running out of patience with efforts by social media providers to crack down on hate speech.

"I expect from big companies like Facebook that they adhere to laws. If they are not respected than we must think about new possibilities, fines for example," he said.

Facebook declined immediate comment on his remarks.

Germany is seen as a forerunner when it comes to forcing Facebook to step up efforts to police online hate speech, which has risen here following an influx of almost one million migrants, mainly from the Middle East, last year.

Politicians are also worried about how hate speech and fake news could sway public opinion ahead of elections next year in which Merkel will be running for a fourth term and facing an increasingly popular far right.

Kauder rejected an argument by Facebook - which has around 1.6 billion monthly users - that it is hard to quickly remove content due to the volume of data it has to deal with.

"They say there is too much. But a big auto manufacturer that produces millions of cars can't say: 'I produce so many cars that I can't guarantee they are all secure.' No, that is not on. I expect and demand from Facebook that laws are upheld."

Last year, Justice Minister Heiko Maas set up a task force made up of representatives from Facebook, Google's YouTube and Twitter as well as nonprofit groups to discuss ways to combat the rise in online hate speech.

The platform providers signed up to a voluntary code of conduct to take action to remove hate posts within 24 hours.

Results of a survey published in September by a group that monitors hate speech found Facebook removed about 46 percent of illegal content reported by users within 24 hours, significantly more than YouTube and Twitter which deleted just 10 percent and about 1 percent respectively.

Maas has repeatedly warned that he will propose legislation if the social media networks do not remove at least 70 percent of hate speech by March next year. (source)

Then there is this piece from Infowars:

Infowars, Breitbart, the Drudge Report and other independent sources are destroying the mainstream media narrative like never before, and the establishment is getting desperate.

In an effort to try and censor the liberty movement and free speech, the mainstream media is now attempting to label legitimate news sources like Infowars as "fake news" to push towards a government-led shut down of Infowars.com.

The Washington Post has even gone as far as to label sites like Infowars as "Russian propaganda fake news" web sites, exemplifying the last attempt of a dying media conglomerate to force out any and all dissenting voices.

Even more concerning, the United States House of Representatives quietly passed legislation targeting 'Russian propaganda' websites.

But the calls for censorship do not end with the United States.

The European Union is demanding that Twitter, YouTube and Facebook censor “illegal hate speech” within 24 hours and content that includes so-called “fake news,” a term so broad that it includes perfectly legitimate news content.

Microsoft, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter have also announced that they will be ramping up efforts to remove "extremist" content from their websites by using a shared database of offenders.

And perhaps most importantly, Twitter has recently gone on record stating the company will ban President-Elect Donald J. Trump's Twitter account if he were to violate the company's "hate speech" rules.

We are calling on and asking President-Elect Donald J. Trump to take a stand against the establishment media's "fake news" attacks and to stop the impending censorship of independent media platforms like Infowars.com and others. (source)

Don't forget Shoebat.com as well.

Earlier this year, Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report did an interview on the Alex Jones Show where he talked about the "ghettoization" of the Internet. Drudge said that major corporate and government interests were setting up Internet-based websites and platforms that were attractive to large numbers of people and easy to use, leading them to "flock" in mass to them in mass. However, once these people were in these platforms, they would have to abide by the "rules" these companies would set up, and most of them involved severely limiting or outright censoring your freedom of expression while allowing others complete license. The purpose of this is to manufacture the image of a popular "consensus" through which "dissent" views can be crushed. The problems with operating outside of these platforms once they become established is that people tend to forget or ignore information unless it comes through one of them. Just ask how many people get their news solely from their Facebook feed or Twitter tweets.

Shoebat.com has been among other sites locked in a continual and brutal battle against these corporate censors. We have already been banned from YouTube and as we note at the end of each article we write, we are living on borrowed time on Facebook as well as Twitter. These platforms, which reach billions of people each week, allow us and many others to propagate our viewpoints along with the many others available, and to reach people who otherwise may not be easily reached. This is not about a question of censorship by direct force of physical threat, but censorship through little men behind computers who issue "violations" of alleged, ambiguous, and undefined "terms of service" or "community standards." This does not even include outright content removal, such as when Facebook removes one of our links and does not allow us to share an article, and no matter how many people share that article and it appears to post it never does post.

We are fighting an uphill and losing battle against these would-be censors because it is the censors who control the platforms and the people who continue to use these platforms because that is what most other people use. We know this from personal experience. Facebook has given us trouble for a long time, but it has reached as of recent an unprecedented level of difficulty and obstruction that continues to grow.

Make no mistake, we are not surrendering at all, and if we are kicked off of Facebook we are still going to keep doing our work. However, it will be much more difficult for us to reach people about the situation of what is happening in the West and around the world with Islam and those who would seek to use Islam for personal gain at the expense of others.

As the truth about the corrupt governments and corporations of the west (and many other parts in the world) reach the level of public consciousness, the more desperate these same people will become to shut down the views of others to prevent them from coming out. The easiest way to do this is simply just to identify and eliminate vocal, dissident voices from the major platforms.

The train of free and open intellectual exchange is departing the west, and it may not return for a long time. Make sure that you are on it.
