Currently Evangelicals are divided between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. So what are their motives in voting for these two candidates?
Donald Trump captured the votes of 33 percent of evangelicals in South Carolina on Saturday — a big factor in his win, because evangelicals made up a whopping 72 percent of Republican primary voters.
Sen. Ted Cruz seems to be the quintessential evangelical candidate: a pastor’s son who can strut a campaign rally stage as though it’s a revival and who pledged to inspire millions of supposedly apathetic evangelicals to vote for a resurgent Christian America. But he only got 27% of the Evangelical vote there.
TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck, one of Cruz’s most high-profile supporters, told voters at a South Carolina rally that the senator was “raised for this hour” by the “hand of divine providence.” Cruz, as Beck describes him, was supposed to be a messianic figure to save Christian America from its downward secularist spiral.
So here we have mormon Glenn Beck, one who denies the Trinity and is considered a cultist by many level-headed Evangelicals who would reject such prophecy that the “hand of divine providence” is over Cruz.
Of course, Cruz says nothing of such false prophecies since God wants votes even if the prophetic announcements comes from a heretical Mormon.
It is for this reason why I do not want a ‘Christian for president’ since the nation has fallen away to such a state. Even if a Christian would run, politics would have him sell his soul to the devil which might damn him to hell.
Trump, unlike Cruz, simply says he is Presbyterian, we all know he is not up to par on his Christian activism and is not the ‘street preacher’ that Cruz is, but he is arguably the candidate most resembling a televangelist since he promises that Americans will be ‘rich again’. Although he never claims that God will be the one to make them wealthy, the motives of many of these fallen-away Evangelicals as the Washington Post says, they see Trump as sent from God:
“For many evangelicals, Pentecostals and charismatic Christians, magical thinking has found its expression through the prosperity gospel, much to the consternation of Christians who consider it a heresy and a fraud. A uniquely American contribution to the evolution of Christianity in the modern age, the prosperity gospel teaches that God wants believers to be rich.”
The only difference between Cruz and Trump is that one man says he will make America great again and uses no prophecies or speaks using evangelical terminology, while the others (Cruz and Beck) sort of announces it in some sort of a messianic vision and ‘God’s providence’.
But the secular world notices: “It’s also called the health and wealth gospel: Its adherents believe that God blesses the faithful with great wealth, keeps their health robust and cures the faithful of every malady. Successful televangelists boast of revelations received directly from God and of their ability to produce miracles. If you’re poor or if you’re sick, that’s a sign of a lack of faith. Or in Trump’s parlance, a loser.”
It is one thing to talk about wealth, but it is another thing altogether if one claims God told them to prophesy about it.
It is not only that the Cruz family are weird cultists who anointed Ted as “king” who will take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the “Seven Mountains Mandate,” but the father Rafael made it clear when taught how this Robin Hood will bring in the blessings to the storehouse:
God anoints priests to work in the church directly and kings to go out into the marketplace to conquer, plunder, and bring back the spoils to the church. The reason governmental regulation has to disappear from the marketplace is to make it completely available to the plunder of Christian “kings” who will accomplish the “end time transfer of wealth.” Then “God’s bankers” will usher in the “coming of the messiah.”
And what is the difference here than Obama’s “share the wealth” besides that Obama wants it from the rich and Rafael wants it for the church. This is some serious bizarre and sick theology. It is much different than Trump’s sinful nature, church tardiness, and his lack of machine-gunning biblical verses.
It is this mimicking of some sort of a Global Caliphate that Christianity is all about becoming dominionists in which Cruz’s father says that his son will “bring the spoils of war to the priests,” thus helping to bring about a prophesied “great transfer of wealth”, from the “wicked” to righteous gentile believers (link to video). Sound evangelicals are becoming aware, that the cult Ted belongs to, with his father Rafael Cruz’ is the dominionist cult.
So why should Christians vote for Trump and not for Cruz?
Simple. It is despite all this “health and wealth” and prosperity lies; most American voters are lemmings, sheep led to the slaughter, who are unaware (due to lack of education on foreign policy) that the goal is not combatting evil, or supporting Israel as Cruz claims. Trump’s policy on Russia and the Middle East is a great solution: leave the Middle East alone and work with Russia and make a deal over what happens to Ukraine.
Cruz (who lies when he says he loves Israel) as part of his foreign policy, supports the pro-Nazi Ukrainian government as do most Democrat and Republican politicians. In fact, it was Putin who correctly alleges that the government in Ukraine’s Kiev is propped up by neo-Nazi and is crawling with anti-Semitic fascist groups including Right Sector and Svoboda – a nationalist party that won seats in the Ukrainian parliament in 2012. Putin uses this fact to justify the annexation of Crimea and the backing of separatist groups in eastern Ukraine. Yet Ted Cruz visits in support of this same neo-Nazi government, the very anti-Semitic government, whom Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi, Moshe Reuben Asman, has warned about, that Jews in Ukraine should get out of the country due to the pro-Nazi government.
Trump wants none of this.
It is a rule-of-thumb, that when the U.S. cries that Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, or any country needs “democracy”, what they mean by that is “regime change” to thwart another superpower: Russia.
In Syria it didn’t matter that McCain (republican) and Obama (democrat) supported terrorists who used Sarin gas, it was about changing the pro-Russian Syrian government to undermine Russia’s influence.
This reality is what we call “state backed terrorism” which will never change regardless to who is U.S. President, unless it is Trump, who in reality loves neither party and is no establishment man.
Christians (regardless of their denominational affiliation) should follow the biblical rule of thumb is that nationalism is a system ordained by God. It is a system which the “izims” (Communism, Islamism, Socialism, Paganism, Cruzism …) are always at war with. Evil never stops to reshape us in the milieu of an evil ideology that grinds us into one religion and one government.
Cruz says that in 1975 he became a born-again Christian. It is a label of acceptance in the United States which I happily abandoned. This should not suffice, of course, but only to the multitudes of the naive Evangelicals.
Evangelicals in the United States come in many flavors. Since the movement began last couple of centuries ago it focused on being “born again”. But this “born again” movement does not have an agreed set of interpretations and they see everything from a sense of revivalism. While there are Evangelicals who are educated and level-headed, the majority of this movement are littered with unguarded religious experiences and many are very critical of intellectual teaching and theological knowledge. It is this brand where Cruz knows what buttons to push to sell his deceptions. I call it the Facebook logic. Cruz has deep roots in the Dominionist theology and Charismatic Pentecostalism of his father.
While there are Progressive Evangelicals, also known as the Evangelical left which identifies with women’s equality, pacifism and social justice, the Evangelical right in general are tired of watching their American culture slip away. The leadership in the right is no better. One of Cruz’s supports is Dr. Michael Brown, an Evangelical scholar. I had been discussing with him the subject of henious crimes of pedophile and gay rape. Brown was irate about an article where I had called him a sell-out for damning us for saying that Jesus would have executed homosexuals. The article in response to his criticism of us, gained us several messages from Brown who machine-gunned the word “liars,” after we basically said he had bent the knee to the homo-god and had burned incense at the altar of the rainbow flag. He insisted that he will only bend the knee to Jesus. I asked him if he would support the death penalty for pedophiles and homosexuals who rape young boys in which he refused to pass such judgment. The ‘death penalty’ is just too harsh since Jesus would never kill gays. While Dr. Brown is against the homosexual agenda and vehemently fights agains their agenda, I think he could aim a bit higher.
Today the war on evil has become the art of the deal where leaders do not aim high for righteous and proper justice. Instead of winning victories by marching in the millions to the White House screaming for justice, they are content if they win a case against a gender-neutral public toilet. A toilet where all sides are happy to drink from, while they sing in the choir every Sunday “Our God is an Awesome God.”
God wants more than just winning a toilet. I see millions upon millions, crowds upon crowds, stadiums and arenas, yet not once did I see any of these major crowds marching to the White House crying for justice for the poor victims or calling for death for such reprobates as they do in the east. Sometimes I think one day that their Awesome God will finally answer to all this singing. And while He hugs the victims He will simply flush the singing crowds down that very toilet they all are fighting over; all the while He cries out: “I never knew you”.
