MEET LALA, the king penguin, who wears a backpack whenever he goes shopping at the fish market in Japan

By BI: Several years ago, an injured king penguin who got tangled up in a fishing line was rescued by a Japanese fisherman and nursed back to health. But when he was fully recovered, he refused to leave, refused to be returned to the sea. So Lala has been living with the Nishimoto family ever since and even has in his own air-conditioned cold room in the house. Wearing his trusty little penguin backpack, Lala heads straight for the fish store to stock up.
