States Form ‘Border Strike Force’; Refuse To Wait For Biden To Do Something About Surge

In the absence of any action by the Biden Administration, Twenty six states have formed an alliance to create a ‘border strike force’ to secure the southern border.
The move was announced Tuesday in a <a href="https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2022/04/governor-ducey-25-governors-commit-coordinated-effort-secure-united-states">press release</a> and <a href="https://azgovernor.gov/sites/default/files/american_governors_border_strike_force_brief.pdf">document</a> from the office of Arizona governor Doug Ducey, who is heading up the alliance along with Texas governor Greg Abbott.
The pledge has been signed on to by the governors of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Ducey commented “What we’re doing in Arizona works, but this is not just an Arizona issue, it’s a national issue. If our entire southern border isn’t secure, our nation isn’t secure.”
The governor added that “As dangerous transnational criminal organizations continue to profit from holes in the border and fill our communities with drugs, it’s no coincidence that we’re seeing historic levels of opioid-related deaths. The American Governors’ Border Strike Force will serve as a force multiplier in the fight against criminal activity directly tied to our border.”
The release also notes “With record breaking migration leading to an overwhelming amount of apprehensions at the southern border, law enforcement is stretched too thin to effectively combat the cartels. This leads to more drugs entering the country, more dangerous individuals avoiding arrest, and more victims of human trafficking.”
Last month, former Obama Homeland Security head Jeh Johnson warned that unmanageable numbers of illegal immigrants will pour across the southern border when the Biden Administration lifts the Title 42 public health authority.
The measure, which Biden <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/04/01/cdc-phase-out-border-restrictions-increase-crossings-expected/">intends to scrap in May</a>, has effectively served as border control, allowing federal immigration officials to swiftly return around two million illegal immigrants to their home countries over the past two years.
Without it, it is conservatively estimated that numbers of migrants reaching the border will increase three fold to 18,000 per day.

The DHS estimates that 221,000 crossed in March, and noted that there are hundreds of thousands more just waiting for restrictions to ease.
Hidalgo County, Texas Sheriff Eddie Guerra, interviewed during a recent NBC news report said that he has been warned to expect that the border could be overrun.
Describing how he and his deputies are preparing, Guerra said “We’re talking about deputies dressed in their riot gear with their shields and their helmets and batons to keep the crowd at bay.”
“We’re asking them to reconsider, you know, lifting the Title 42,” Guerra further stated.

Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs has also warned that numbers will be even higher than estimated, suggesting that 20,000 to 30,000 could surge the border every day.
“Right now, the [Department of Homeland Security] number is about 8,000 people a day, illegally entering our country,” Biggs said during a podcast, adding “DHS’s number, they say it’s going to be 18,000 a day … I personally think it’s going to be 20,000 to 30,000 a day.”
He explained, “Cartels are already advertising to put together caravans to come across … our communities are going to be overrun … last year, 800,000 people illegally snuck into the country, they were not apprehended, they were the got-aways, we don’t know who they are, where they are from, what their intentions are.”
Regarding lifting Title 42, Biggs said “I think the rationale here is, they’re trying to get this open and bring in as many people as they can before they lose the majority … [in] the House and Senate.” 
“I think this is a political ploy, it’s meant to happen. They campaigned on an open border,” Biggs continued, warning“If you think it’s bad now, the tsunami that’s coming is going to be overwhelming.”

YouTuber Who Said Cancel Culture Was a Good Thing Gets Cancelled

Google owned YouTube has removed a recent interview Tucker Carlson produced with a woman who ‘de-transitioned’ from gender conversion and is now speaking out against the promotion of the ideology among young people.
During the interview, Helena Kerschner described how she feels she was  exploited at a time when she was young, confused and “uncomfortable” in her own skin.
Kerschner has said she felt “sucked into gender ideology online,”at age 15 and was even encouraged by officials at her school to undergo masculinizing hormone therapy in a process she describes as “very damaging.”

During the interview, Kerschner noted “it’s completely normal for not only young girls, but often young boys to feel uncomfortable with themselves uncomfortable with their body. But we have this ideology that is especially prevalent online that says that if you have those feelings, that means you’re trans.”
She further told Carlson “there are literally people who say, if you don’t even like your voice on a recording, that’s a sign of gender dysphoria, and you need to go see a medical professional because you’re trans.”
She continued, “I really feel afraid for these other young girls like myself who they might not be, you know, I consider myself lucky that I was able to get out of it unscarred really medically, but there’s so many young people who can’t say the same.”
“Psychologically as well. I mean, it’s just devastating to, especially from a young age be lied to, by adults at school, and by medical professionals and told that your body is wrong, you need to change it, you need to get hormones you need to get surgeries, that’s devastating for a young person. So I’m just really concerned for younger girls and boys like I once was being led down this path and being hurt by it,” she further urged.
During the interview Kerschner also noted that it is “an oversimplification of the truth” for medical officials to state that the process is reversible.
“When you go on a cross-sex hormone, like that’s going to give you not just physical changes, but psychological experiences, that you can’t just act like they never happened, you can’t just take it back,” she explained.
“And especially with surgeries, you know, a, a breast implant after a mastectomy is not the same thing as never having your breasts taken off in the first place. So there’s a lot of young women who are going through that who had a double mastectomy at 16, 17, 18 years old or even younger that happens, who, you know, there’s nothing you can really do to put that feeling of oneness and safety in your body back,” Kerschner added.
She also noted that while many parents and young people are grateful for her speaking out, there are also “the trans activists and the trans community that exhibits some very unhealthy kind of cult-like dynamics, who are really upset about this.”
The video was taken down for “violating YouTube’s policy on spam, deceptive practices, and scams,” however copies have popped up, as well as versions on Rumble and other platforms.

Quite obviously there is nothing deceptive, spammy or scam about the interview. It is one woman’s opinion.
Social media and culture in general is replete with content on how wonderful gender transition is, yet here this one video of a negative experience has been ruthlessly censored and banned.
Big tech wouldn’t want anyone hearing an opinion that deviates from happy rainbow fantasy land.

Black Hole: CNN Admits US “Doesn’t Really Know” What Happens to Weapons Sent to Ukraine

President Joe Biden’s closest Senate ally has suggested that US troops should be deployed to Ukraine over fears the country will “become the Syria of Eastern Europe.”
Senator Chris Coons made the comments during a CBS News interview on Sunday.
“The American people cannot turn away from this tragedy in Ukraine,” said Coons, adding, “I think the history of the 21st century turns on how fiercely we defend freedom in Ukraine and that Putin will only stop when we stop him.”
Coons went on to suggest that the “level of brutality” being displayed by Russian forces may necessitate direct US military involvement.
“If Vladimir Putin, who has shown us how brutal he can be, is allowed to just continue to massacre civilians, to commit war crimes throughout Ukraine without NATO, without the West coming more forcefully to his aid, I deeply worry that what’s going to happen next is that we will see Ukraine turn into Syria,” Coons said.

During a previous speech at an event at the University of Michigan, Coons asserted that Putin and other “autocrats around the world” would be emboldened if if US boots on the ground were ruled out.
Coons is known as “Biden’s eyes and ears in the Senate,” while others have labeled him the White House’s “shadow secretary of state.”
As we previously <a href="https://summit.news/2022/04/12/french-journalist-returns-from-ukraine-says-americans-are-in-charge-of-the-war/">highlighted</a>, there are already US boots on the ground in Ukraine, although an official deployment of Americans forces would be hugely controversial move.
French journalist Georges Malbrunot, who returned from Ukraine after arriving with volunteer fighters, said the Pentagon was already overseeing much of the conflict.
“I had the surprise, and so did they, to discover that to be able to enter the Ukrainian army, well it’s the Americans who are in charge,” said Malbrunot.
The Pentagon previously indicated that it thinks the war will <a href="https://summit.news/2022/04/07/pentagon-says-russia-ukraine-war-likely-to-last-for-years/">last for years</a> rather than months, while the Washington Post <a href="https://summit.news/2022/04/06/washington-post-admits-nato-wants-to-prolong-war-in-ukraine/">reported</a> that it was in NATO’s interest to prolong the conflict as much as possible.

In the wake of Elon Musk buying an influential stake in Twitter and being appointed to its board, the company has declared that it will continue to censor anyone it pleases and will not reverse previous decisions to ban prominent users including President Trump.
As we <a href="https://summit.news/2022/04/05/hilarious-woke-twitter-employees-are-terrified-about-elon-musks-purchase-of-controlling-stake/">covered yesterday,</a> woke Twitter employees took to the platform to share their anger about Musk being their new boss, following the billionaire’s <a href="https://summit.news/2022/03/28/elon-musk-may-be-about-to-develop-a-free-speech-twitter-alternative/">previous comments about wanting to restore free speech.</a>
In response, the company <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10687665/Elon-Musk-joins-Twitter-board-directors-buying-9-stake-social-media.html">issued a statement</a> proclaiming that “Twitter is committed to impartiality in the development and enforcement of its policies and rules.”
The statement added, “Our policy decisions are not determined by the Board or shareholders, and we have no plans to reverse any policy decisions.”
“As always our Board plays an important advisory and feedback role across the entirety of our service. Our day to day operations and decisions are made by Twitter management and employees,” the company emphasised.
In other words, Twitter says Musk won’t sway their censorship agenda and Trump, along with the likes of Project Veritas and Alex Jones are not coming back.

Some have suggested that Musk was given a spot on the board specifically to prevent him from buying more control of the company.
A filing by Twitter, published on Tuesday by the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001418091/000119312522095651/d342257d8k.htm" target="_blank">Securities and Exchange Commission</a>, states that “For so long as Mr. Musk is serving on the Board and for 90 days thereafter, Mr. Musk will not, either alone or as a member of a group, become the beneficial owner of more than 14.9 percent of the Company’s common stock outstanding at such time, including for these purposes economic exposure through derivative securities, swaps, or hedging transactions.”

Appearing on Fox News, Senator Rand Paul argued that Twitter should allow Trump back on the platform if it cares about its financial stability.
Paul noted that “it used to be that the board of a company, or the mission of a company was to make money. And so, my guess is if Donald Trump came back with 80 million followers? My guess is that Twitter would make more money.”
“It’s amazing that we now have this sort of pseudo-social conscious, that we put this into board meetings, and then actually the boards are doing things and making policy that makes them less money,” the Senator added.
Paul further noted that Trump may stay off Twitter because he has now launched his own social network called TRUTH.

Meanwhile, Musk himself responded to a Washington Post article that argued his investment is “bad news for free speech.”

Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote a dissenting opinion arguing that jurors who express familiarity with FBI crime stats should be banned from Capital case juries for “racial bias.”
Yes, really.
The opinion was in relation to Kristopher Love, a black man who was convicted of capital murder in the course of a robbery that happened in 2015.
Before Love’s trial, prospective members of the jury filled out a questionnaire which included the following two questions.
“68. Do you sometimes personally harbor bias against members of certain races or ethnic groups?”
“69. Do you believe that some races and/or ethnic groups tend to be more violent than others?”
The prospective juror answered no to the first question but then answered yes to the second and explained that he understood “[n]on-white” races to be the “more violent races” because he had seen statistics to this effect in “[n]ews reports and criminology classes” he had taken.
Despite the juror making clear that his views were based on statistics and not his personal feelings about black people, Love’s counsel moved to exclude the prospective juror based on “his stated beliefs that . . . non-whites commit more violent crimes than whites.”
“Leaving this man on the jury would be an invitation to leaving someone on there that might make a decision on Special Issue No. 1 that would ultimately lead to a sentence of death on his preconceived notions and beliefs that have to do with the race of the defendant,” counsel argued.
The trial court ended up denying counsel’s request to have the juror removed and Love was later sentenced to death.

[…] The seating of a racially biased juror, therefore, can never be harmless. As with other forms of disqualifying bias, if even one racially biased juror is empaneled and the death penalty is imposed, “the State is disentitled to execute the sentence,” Morgan v. Illinois, 504 U. S. 719, 729 (1992).
In this case, petitioner Kristopher Love, a Black man, claims that one of the jurors in his capital trial was racially biased because the juror asserted during jury selection that “[n]on-white” races were statistically more violent than the white race. […]

The fact is that, for whatever reason, non-whites in America are more prone to commit violent crime than whites per capita. The <a href="https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-43">statistics</a> are indisputable.

Turns out the story was about as real as Jussie Smollett’s alleged assault.
Earlier this month, two men accused by the FBI of plotting to kidnap the governor in 2020 were found not guilty by a jury of their peers, with juries also failing to reach unanimous verdicts against two other defendants.
On Tuesday, a federal prosecutor who had given an opening statement during the trial saying the men wanted to kidnap Whitmer and create a “war zone here in Michigan” <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.wzzm13.com/article/news/prosecutor-drops-out-of-kidnapping-case/69-2defab2d-df01-40ce-bc82-f2717acac58b" target="_blank">quit the case</a>, declining to provide a reason.
