FLASHBACK: Obama Hopes America Has Forgotten What He Said About Guns In 2013

<p>The Obama administration has made it painfully clear that infringing upon the Second Amendment  through “gun control” will be a top priority during President Barack Obama’s final year in office.</p>
<p>This was exemplified by his recent announcement of several unilateral executive actions he would be taking in an effort to implement stricter gun control.</p>
<p>However, more than a few of the items on Obama’s list of infringing actions seem somewhat familiar, something that was actually pointed out by the left-leaning media outlet Vice News.</p>
<p>It turns out that many of the “new” proposals put forward by our <a href="http://conservativetribune.com/obama-gun-control-speech/" target="_blank">emotional president</a> were originally introduced during his big push for gun control in 2013, following the horrible massacre of school children at Sandy Hook in 2012.</p>
<p>Obama recently spoke about closing the “gun trust loophole,” forcing those who purchase or possess firearms through a trust or corporation to go through a background check. He already proposed this rule in 2013, and it is expected to be finalized and implemented soon.</p>
<p>Obama also spoke about encouraging hospitals and medical professionals to violate patient privacy protections as laid out in the HIPPA laws, reporting individuals to authorities if they suffer from mental health issues. This illegal action was also originally proposed in Obama’s 2013 gun control measures.</p>
<p>Obama directed the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Justice to conduct research and development of “smart guns,” an unreliable technology that would ostensibly only allow a firearm to be used by its rightful owner. He already directed the DOJ to look into <a href="http://conservativetribune.com/holder-gun-tracking-bracelets/" target="_blank">“smart gun” technology</a> in 2013.</p>
<p>He also spoke at length of expanding criminal background checks for firearms purchases, again, something he had already instructed the FBI to do more than two years ago.</p>
<p>Obama also reiterated his 2013 orders to the Center for Disease Control to conduct research into gun violence, as well as to the DOJ to better track stolen or lost firearms.</p>
<p>There is a reason that much of Obama’s executive actions on gun control sound familiar, and that is because they are virtually all things he has previously ordered executive branch agencies to do.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This simply proves that Obama’s efforts are flawed and failed and that he has no interest in truly addressing the root causes of gun violence or going after the repeat offenders and criminal gang members who commit the overwhelming majority of gun crime.</p>
<p>Instead, he chooses time after time to make it more difficult and inconvenient for law-abiding citizens to obtain firearms.</p>

Obama Vetoes Congress Obamacare Repeal

<p>In a defiant veto message on Friday, the President said, “<em>because of the harm this bill would cause to the health and financial security of millions of Americans, it has earned my veto</em>.”</p>
<p><a href="http://presstv.com/Detail/2016/01/08/445054/US-Obama-Obamacare-healthcare-/" target="_blank">Presstv.com</a> reports:</p>
<p>The president blasted the Republicans in Congress, who he said “have attempted to repeal or undermine the Affordable Care Act over 50 times.”</p>
<p>“Rather than refighting old political battles by once again voting to repeal basic protections that provide security for the middle class, Members of Congress should be working together to grow the economy, strengthen middle-class families, and create new jobs,” Obama stated.</p>
<p>According to the White House, the president’s landmark healthcare legislation has given insurance to 17.6 million Americans who did not have it previously.</p>
<p>The GOP bill targeting Obamacare passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday by a margin of 240 to 181, with only one Democrat voting in favor of it.</p>
<p>The legislation would also have blocked federal money for Planned Parenthood, something conservatives in Congress pledged to do following the release of a series of videos by an anti-abortion group in 2015 which caused a controversy about the sale of fetal tissue.</p>
<p>In response to Obama’s veto, House Speaker Paul Ryan said that he would hold an override vote.</p>
<p>“It’s no surprise that someone named Obama vetoed a bill repealing Obamacare,” Ryan said in a statement. He added that “the idea that Obamacare is the law of the land for good is a myth. This law will collapse under its own weight, or it will be repealed.”</p>
<p>Opponents of Obamacare had argued that it was unconstitutional for the federal government to subsidize insurance in states that rejected their own exchange for the federal system.</p>

<p>Muslim terrorists in Libya slaughtered forty seven people in a major Islamic terrorist attack, and what is the most destructive incursion since the downfall Gaddafi. According to <a href="http://www.christiantoday.com/article/libya.47.dead.after.worst.bomb.attack.since.gadaffi/75990.htm" target="_blank">one report:</a></p>
<blockquote>
<p>The attack, which has been labelled the worst since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi, took place as around 400 hundred police and coastguard cadets gathered for their morning meeting in the town of Zliten.</p>
<p>The town lies between the capital Tripoli and the port of Misrata.</p>
<p>“It was horrific, the explosion was so loud it was heard from miles away,” Mayor Miftah Hamadi told Reuters by telephone. “All the victims were young, and all about to start their lives.”</p>
<p>According to Reuters, the charred remains of a vehicle lay strewn across the ground near the police academy building and parked cars were mangled by the force of the blast.</p>
<p>Witnesses said residents ferried victims to Misrata hospitals in ambulances and cars, many with shrapnel wounds and some bodies too damaged to be identified.</p>
<p>Medical sources initially said 65 people had been killed, including some civilians. But Fozi Awnais, head of the crisis committee for the health ministry in Tripoli, said later that 47 people had died and 118 more were wounded.</p>
<p>The attack was not immediately claimed by a group, however suicide blasts and car bombings have increased in Libya as Islamist militants have taken advantage of the North African country’s chaos to expand their presence.</p>
<p>Thursday’s bombing follows a number of truck bombings in Misrata and further east claimed by ISIS.</p>

<p>Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto tweeted today that the infamous drug lord known as “El Chapo” has been captured. However, we need to be aware that whether this is a deal with the corrupt Mexican government of ‘catch-and-release’ or if it is permanent remains to be an issue.</p>
<p>“Mission accomplished: We have him. I want to inform the Mexicans that Joaquin Guzman Loera has been detained,” the tweet states.</p>
<p>No further details have been released.</p>
<p>El Chapo past remains. He was a persecutor of the church. “Neither the government nor priests can handle El Chapo” was a warning sent by Joaquin Guzman (El-Chapo) to what he considered his two biggest threats at the time: Christian priests and the government.</p>
<p>To ensure he was taken seriously, the note accompanied two corpses: soldiers that he arranged to be killed so everyone gets the message: you need to fear the drug cartel of Sinaloa, especially the infamous El Chapo.</p>
<p>The message was sent in response to Hector Gonzalez, the archbishop of the northern state of Durango, who raised fears of attacks on the clergy. Indeed, according to the Catholic Multimedia Center (CCM) Mexico is the most dangerous country in Latin America for priests.</p>
<p>The strange thing (especially in Mexico), is that so many act as if El-Chapo’s operation is a colorful background setting for popular American TV shows and movies.</p>
<p>It gets to show how far evil and lawlessness has risen in people’s minds. On Twitter, one comments “notice how much more love El Chapo gets compared to Trump”. Some tweets even offered to aid El-Chapo to kill Donald Trump.<br />

Everyone knows El Chapo’s operation is violent, deadly business populated not only by men who destroy lives through the distribution of toxic products, but also directly, through hired gunmen who intimidate and murder rivals, government officials, and even Christian priests. The cartel resulted in over 60,000 deaths.</p>
<p>There are even ISIS style beheadings against Christians by the cartel. One woman who worked for a Catholic newspaper in Tamaulipas was beheaded and some 1,100 priests reported receiving extortion threats in 2011 alone, while another 255 reported receiving death threats.</p>
<p>Long before ISIS, it was <em>La Familia Michoacán</em> who shocked Mexico, in October 2006, when they tossed  5 decapitated heads on to the floor of a Michoacán disco initiating the phenomenon for years to come. Even the poorest parish churches can attract extortion attempts, because the weekly collection baskets at Sunday mass bring in a constant trickle of cash. Is this what these commenters who prefer El Chapo over Trump want?</p>

<p>After an evangelical pastor was killed in Mexico State for refusing extortion demands, priests from 19 parishes in the state formally requested protection from the government, stating that they were also being threatened by armed extortionists.</p>
<p>What happens on the other side of the border will always effect the U.S.</p>
<p>While everyone thinks that this problem is not in their backyard, El Chapo ordered his young wife, Emma Coronel, the daughter of another Mexican drug lord, to give birth in California to secure U.S. citizenship for his children. It is for this reason that Americans need to elect Donald Trump.</p>
<p>Now El Chapo’s daughters will be able to petition for an unlimited number of relatives, real and fraudulent, to join them in the U.S. due to the law’s chain migration provisions. Drug kingpins now are attaining legal residence in the U.S., while their relatives and offspring would be milking the welfare state for benefits and tax credits including but not limited to free education of the cartel’s anchor babies.</p>
<p>Even El-Chapo himself has a California drivers license. Now that the U.S., is becoming a nation of imports, drugs is topping the list. The Sinaloa cartel has a long history of tunnel building, particularly along the US border where they were used to smuggle narcotics into America. The cartel has become so powerful that <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/americas/03/13/mexico.forbes.list/index.html" target="_blank">Forbes magazine listed Guzman</a> among the ranks of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.</p>
<p>The U.S., a nation that prides itself on being a nation of laws has become a nation of lawlessness from the bottom all the way to the top. It was the U.S. Supreme Court that forbade schools from withholding taxpayer funding that would go towards educating illegal aliens when Justice William Brennan declared, “No plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ‘jurisdiction’ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful”.</p>
<p>By law, now the “unlawful” can benefit.</p>
<p>And what about the Catholic clergy whom El-Chapo is making their life a living hell? Has Jeb Bush, the Catholic, said anything in their defense better than the Presbyterian Donald Trump? It was Donald Trump who was outspoken for Christian persecution. And if God never condemned Solomon’s wealth, are we to condemn Trump’s?</p>

<p>On Dec. 21, last year, four armed men barged into a Catholic seminary in the central Mexican city of Altamirano and kidnapped a Catholic pastor named Gregorio López Gorostieta. The problem for pastors is that they are the refuge for the poor in the face of criminal abuses by all sorts of government and corrupt  movements.</p>
<p>Altamirano is the same part of Mexico where police arrested <a href="http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/11/21/mexican-protesters-look-to-start-a-new-revolution.html">43 student protesters</a> and turned them over to a drug gang that killed them all and burned their bodies until they could no longer be identified. What was eye-opening also, was that another priest from Uganda, Father John Ssenyondo has been missing in Mexico since May, when he was abducted after refusing to baptize the daughter of local gangster. The strange thing is that his remains were found in a mass grave of the same 43 college student protesters.</p>
<p>On one Christmas Eve, in response to the abduction of Fr. Gregorio López Gorostieta, dozens of priests, infuriated by the abductions, marched through the middle of Altamirano dressed in cassocks despite that cassocks have been banned in the streets of Mexico since the days of the revolution. Hundreds of parishioners trailed behind them. They called for peace, reconciliation, and the safe return of Father Gregorio. And the Diocese of Altamirano made a direct appeal to his captors:</p>

<p>“We fear for his physical safety and we believe there is nobility and kindness in you… If you have conditions for his release, make them known…. Let your hearts be touched and recall the services that we have performed for your families.”</p>
</blockquote>
<p>So what was the response to the demonstrating priests? On Christmas Day, Father Gregorio’s body was found on the side of the highway out of town.</p>

<p>Father Gregorio is at least the third priest who was murdered in the region of Tierra Caliente alone.</p>
<p>There are many cases in other regions. Father Habacuc Hernández Benítez was shot to death in 2009, along with two of his seminary students, while driving on the road to Arcelia. Father Joel Román Salazar died in a car crash in 2013; his death was ruled an accident, but the suspicion of foul play persists. Three months ago, on Sept. 22, the body of Father Ascensión Acuña Osorio was found floating in the shallows of the Rio Balsas, not far from his parish in San Miguel Totolapan. Father Ascensión had earlier been reported kidnapped, and he was murdered even after a ransom was paid to his captors. His body showed signs of torture and one eyewitness recalled seeing knife slashes across the priest’s face.</p>

<p>Priests who are kidnapped are usually not counted as “killed” or “dead”, unless there is a body. Those  kidnapped and not found, are  not recorded on a drug war casualty list.</p>
<p>While many undermine the situation Trump brings up, reality shows that the Mexican problem next door rivals ISIS in its torture methods. The recovered bodies of priests depict odious, barbaric torture and killing. Decapitation, dismemberment, incineration, strangulation, drowning, torture and even rape are the methods used against priests in additional to the “conventional” killing methods of gunshot, or stabbings.</p>

<p>Throughout Mexico Catholic Priests create a safe haven for migrants and operate 95% of migrant shelters providing assistance, medical care and other forms of care. They are the greatest advocacy group, in and out of Mexico. Cartels consider this an intrusion into their source of revenue.  Priests who run the migrant shelters such as Casa Migrante’s are constantly being threatened.</p>

But the atmosphere in Tierra Caliente goes far beyond that. This is a part of the country where the laws of God may be regarded with as little respect and as much contempt as the laws of man.</div>

<p>When Donald Trump led the way to expose the situation in Mexico and the borders, he was ridiculed by ignorants who do nothing to expose the Mexican style ‘ISIS’ problem next door. In Mexico, it is like in Islam, if one leaves the religion, they are executed. Likewise in Mexico, even the  alcohol and drug rehab centers are attacked by cartels for repenting, resulting in the mass killing in drug rehab centers.</p>

<p>Padre Goyo, is arguably the most outspoken priest in Mexico today.  Of the 7 Apatzingán Michoacán priests whose life have been threaten in 2014, he tops the list of most reviled by organized crime, and corrupt government, both municipal, state and federal. In 2014, Goyo’s brother, “Luis Jerónimo”, was kidnapped by the Caballeros Templarios. Luis Jerónimo, 39, was released after a few days of captivity and then decided to leave Mexico and appeared before the immigration authorities at the border crossing of San Ysidro, California to seek asylum. However, what happened to Luis should be an example of what Trump speaks about the “good Mexican people” vs. the bad whom the U.S. city of refuge system do give safe haven to. Instead of allowing Luis to enter as a persecuted immigrant, he was sent to a detention center, where he  remained for nearly a year without being granted bail and exposed to immediate deportation.</p>
<p>In the last months of 2013, at least 5 priests were taken and all presumed dead in southern Tamaulipas. Carlos Ornelas Puga was kidnapped on November while priests Hipólito Villalobos Lima and Nicolas de la Cruz Martinez were executed in the parish of San Cristóbal de Ixhuatlán de Madero, Veracruz. In December two additional priests vanished in Tamaulipas.</p>
<p>Even the elderly nuns are not immune from the Mexican cartels. Two weeks ago, on June 29th, the bishop and the priests of the diocese of Tehuantepec Mexico expressed outrage regarding the violence against the clergy in the region. While the clergy were celebrating the Day of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, a convent was raided and the nuns despite their advanced age were tied and gagged and then robbed.</p>

<p>We have received a litany of comments. Here is a comment including our response from <span class="author publisher-anchor-color"><a href="https://disqus.com/by/quiquegarduo/" data-action="profile" data-username="quiquegarduo" data-role="username">Quique Garduño</a> </span>that generalizes the misconceptions that are out there:</p>
<p>Pretty ignorant article if you ask me. Mission A LOT about the current drug war going on in Mexico, I would suggest you dig deeper into the issue and educate yourself before making blant accusations. Chapo was indeed a powerful man… in 2010. His power (as well as his cartel) has greatley diminish. The beheadings shown here were done by “The Zs”, perhaps the most violent cartel in Mexico, whose main leaders have been killed by Mexican marines in the past 2 years. Is there still violence in Mexico, without a doubt. Is it as bad as in 2006-2012? Not at all, I would argue it has actually decreased (personally speaking as I grew up in the norther region of Mexico and got to experience this war first hand). Families can now go out at night, business owners are returning to Mexico. Mexico and its people still have a long way to go, but things are getting better. Please don’t make such a fuss over a retired Mexican drug lord, maybe you should start to look at gun control issues, as most of the drug cartels get there weapons from the U.S or how to stop the addiction that is marihuana since the number one consumer is indeed the U.S.</p>
<p>There are more factors to look at, it is a shame that Christians are feeling the effects of this situation, but its not only them but the whole population in general and I say again, this is not the fact anymore in most of Mexico as violence has been segragated by the efforts of the Mexican military.</p>

<p>First of all, I never said that these heads were from El Chapo. I simply showed the heads to show the type of violence is committed by the cartel. You were simply looking for anything to find and refute. Tell me, have you refuted everything that was written? No. As far as the guns coming from the U.S., get your facts straight. You don’t know what you are writing about. Research has asserted that most weapons and arms trafficked into Mexico are not from gun dealers in the United States, but as a matter of fact, come from either government personnel who defect to the cartels, or are sourced from Central American black markets. Most grenades and rocket-launchers are smuggled through Guatemalan borders or stolen from the Mexican police or military. DHS officials have stated that that statistic is misleading: out of approximately 30,000 weapons seized in drug cases in Mexico in 2004–2008, 7,200 appeared to be of U.S. origin, approximately 4,000 were found in ATF manufacturer and importer records, and 87 percent of those—3,480—originated in the United States.</p>
<p>In an effort to control smuggling of firearms, the U.S. government is assisting Mexico with technology, equipment and training. Project Gunrunner was one such efforts between the U.S. and Mexico to collaborate in tracing Mexican guns which were manufactured in or imported legally to the U.S.</p>
<p>In 2008, it was falsely reported that ninety percent of arms either captured in Mexico or interdicted were from the United States. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and others have dispelled these claims, pointing that the Mexican sample submitted for ATF tracing is the fraction of weapons seized that appear to have been made in the U.S. or imported into the U.S.</p>

BOOM: Taya Kyle Confronts Obama to His Face Over His Gun Grab With 1 BRUTAL Comment [VIDEO]

<p>Taya Kyle, the wife of slain “American Sniper” hero Chris Kyle, was already a favorite among conservatives. However, when the widow recently confronted President Barack Obama over his latest gun control regulations, she became an even bigger star among those with a healthy respect for the Second Amendment.</p>
<p>The confrontation came at Obama’s gun violence “town hall meeting” (three words which, when strung together, are now completely bereft of meaning) stunt Thursday night on CNN.</p>
<p>Kyle, whose husband was killed by gun violence, lashed out at the president over his new regulations’ lack of efficacy and his inability to acknowledge the downward trend of gun violence, even as gun ownership skyrockets.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>“I think that your message of hope is something I agree with. I think it’s great. And I think that by creating new laws you do give people hope,” Taya Kyle said to the president. “<strong>The thing is that the laws we create don’t stop these horrific things from happening, right</strong>? And that’s a very tough pill to swallow.”</p>
<p>Kyle then pointed out that none of the recent shootings Obama’s new unilateral regulations likely wouldn’t have stopped any of the crimes they were enacted in response to.</p>
<p>“I don’t know that any of them would have been stopped by a background check,” Kyle said.</p>
<p>“So I think part it we have to recognize is we cannot outlaw murder,” she said. “Because the people who are murdering are breaking the law, but they also don’t have the moral code that we have. So they can do the same amount of damage with a pipe bomb. The problem is that they want to murder.”</p>
<p>Kyle then pointed out that gun violence and gun ownership are inversely correlated: “We are at the lowest murder rate in our country. All time of low of murders. All time high for gun ownership.</p>
