Watch: Biden Falsely Claims He Was A Truck Driver, Says He Radioed “Big Mama”

Joe Biden couldn’t help but tell a whopper during a speech on supply chains at the White House Monday, where he again repeated false claims that he was at one time a truck driver.
During his remarks urging Americans to join the trucking industry, claimed he used to drive a big rig.
“I used to drive a truck; it’s a long story,” Biden claimed, before adding, “Anyway…”

The tall tale has been told by Biden before and has even been given a false rating by left-leaning fact check site <a href="https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/dec/03/joe-biden/no-joe-biden-wasnt-tractor-trailer-driver/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Politifact</a>.

There is no record that he did, and his comments in the past suggest that at most, he was given the chance to drive one at some point. His reference to a summer job suggests that he was referring to his time as a bus driver, not a truck driver.

And so, during the truckers strike years later, when I was a young senator, I was — there was a guy who ran steel from Deemer Steel out to Ohio.  And so, I decided to ride out with him to see what it was like in the strike.  And I was driving, going through Shiloh, Ohio, and — and we — he was — his handle was “Big 10”.  And I remember every — all the trucks stops were being blockaded at the time during the strike.
And he — he called, and he said, “Big 10 wanting to come in.”  I forget exactly how he said it.  And the — and the only woman truck driver I ever knew I met that day. 
She said, “This is Big Mama.  No room.”  (Laughter.)  Swear to God, true story.  (Laughter.)  Swear to God.  He said, “I’ve got a United States senator driving my truck.”  She said, “I got the damn president in mine.  So what?”  (Laughter.)  I’ll never forget that.  I was a very powerful guy.

But look, the Labor and — Labor and Transportation Departments are working closely with industry to tackle issues facing women in trucking, recruit and retrain more women drivers so we can draw more Americans to work with increased wages, reduced wait times, and improved safety, and so much more.

Ukraine Under Fire: Reporter Documents War-Torn Mariupol

Independent journalist Patrick Lancaster documented the scene as citizens of Mariupol, Ukraine attempted to either flee or go into hiding amid heavy shelling.
Lancaster is embedded with the soldiers fighting for the Donetsk People’s Republic and Russia, but encourages everyone around the world to monitor reporting from both sides of the Ukraine conflict.
Footage posted Monday shows Lancaster hanging out with some of the young animals living at the Mariupol private zoo.
The zoo’s owner told Lancaster several animals have already died after being hit by shrapnel, but says he’ll have to remain in the warzone since he can’t evacuate all of the critters.
Asked for his opinion on the war, the zoo owner said, “Nobody needs it. Brother fights brother…”
Regarding who is responsible for the shelling of his city, the zookeeper said both sides are shooting, adding, “It’s a war.”
Tragic footage shows citizens holed up in a basement being evacuated to Russia where they have relatives.
Many of the individuals who chose to stay in Mariupol looked into Lancaster’s camera and told their loved ones in other countries that they were alive and well.

One crying woman explained that her mother is lost and she won’t leave the city until she finds her.
Throughout the heartbreaking interviews, thundering crashes of nearby explosions constantly ring out.
Near the end of the report, a grieving woman in an ambulance claimed the Ukrainian military shelled civilian neighborhoods, saying, “It’s like they’re evicting us from there.”
At the center of Mariupol, Lancaster’s footage shows a Russian flag was raised after their forces took a portion of the city from the Ukrainian military.
Another woman alleged the Ukrainian military’s Azov Battalion endangered civilians in the city by bombing them, claiming, “It was flying from the direction they [Ukrainians] were located… They just removed us so that people did not gather there, and their tanks could freely go to the ring road.”

Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court Nomination Deadlocked in Senate Committee

The Senate Judiciary Committee deadlocked on a vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson on Monday.
The vote, which came out to 11-11 along party lines, means the full Senate will soon vote on Jackson’s nomination without an official recommendation by the committee.
The Senate is currently evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats 50-50 with Kamala Harris as the tiebreaker.

All 50 Democrats will likely vote for Jackson’s nomination, and RINO Republican Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Mitt Romney (R-Utah), and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) have <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/lisa-murkowski-republican-support-ketanji-brown-jackson_n_624b6b6be4b0d8266ab00cde?fqs" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">signaled they would vote for Jackson</a>, meaning she will likely be confirmed as things stand.
A full Senate vote for Jackson has yet to be scheduled.
Republicans on the committee voiced their <a href="https://thehill.com/news/senate/3256880-mcconnell-leans-hard-on-gop-senators-to-oppose-jackson/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">opposition to Jackson</a> during the confirmation process over her <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/ketanji-jacksons-leniency-child-case" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">consistently lenient sentencing</a> for pedophiles and child porn offenders.

Hunter Biden’s Secret Service Detail Pays $30K A Month For Malibu Mansion

But while Biden continues to spend money he doesn’t have on his California lifestyle, the Secret Service (which is legally required to provide protection for family members of the president) is being forced to do the same: according to a retired Secret Service agent, the agency has been paying a whopping $30K/month for their own market-rate pad practically next door.

Former Secret Service agent Don Mihalek told <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/secret-service-paying-30k-month-malibu-mansion-protect/story?id=83821498" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">ABC News</a> this arrangement is “the cost of doing business” for the Secret Service (since the younger Biden is entitled to ’round-the-clock’ security, like all other presidential family members).

Hunter Biden and the rest of Biden’s family started receiving their Secret Service detail starting in June 2020 after his father became the Democratic nominee.
While an entire generation of Americans (the long-suffering millennials) are being priced out of the housing market, Hunter’s Malibu digs include four bedrooms, three bathrooms, vaulted high ceilings and a chef’s kitchen.
The home also features a “spacious park-like yard” with a pool, a spa, a built-in barbecue bar, and alfresco dining. The property is situated on 0.7 acres on top of a hill, giving it “enchanting” 180-degree panoramic ocean views, according to the listing.

Now – Harris’s deputy chief of staff Michael Fuchs is becoming the latest in a long list of departures from the VP’s staff, according to Reuters, citing a leaked internal staff memo.

Fuchs will remain in the office for approximately another month in order to “ensure a smooth transition,” according to the memo. 
“Fifteen months later, it’s almost difficult to recall the magnitude of the challenges we faced when we came in, from an unprecedented pandemic to historically difficult economic circumstances,” wrote Fuchs.
Word of Fuchs’ departure follows a March 21 announcement that Harris’s National Security Adviser Nancy McEldowney was stepping down from her role, while her communications team – which had several high-profile screwups in their first year – has also seen several high-profile departures.
