Retired Los Angeles Police Department detective Moses Castillo told KTLA the protesters weren’t anti-vaccine, but were against forced government inoculations.
“[Those] who are here [are] not so much against being vaccinated, or the vaccine, but they’re against being forced to do so by our local government,” Castillo said.

L.A. firefighter Scott Tomlin, who attended the rally, said he’s prepared to lose his job “because I’m not prepared to lose my life over it.”
The city’s vaccine mandate, which requires customers to show proof of vaccination to access most business, including restaurants, bars, gyms, concert venues, museums, malls, salons and more, takes effect today.
