The Minnesota National Guard was targeted in a drive-by shooting just hours after Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) told Black Lives Matter to be “more confrontational.”

According to the MN National Guard, several guardsmen and police officers were “providing neighborhood security” when someone fired shots at them from a white SUV at 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Two members of the guard sustained minor injuries, and one was taken to the hospital with cuts from shattered glass.

Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard Maj. Gen. Shawn Manke said the incident “highlights the volatility” in the Minneapolis community amid BLM rioting over the Derek Chauvin trial.

“I am relieved to know none of our Guardsmen were seriously injured,” said Manke. “This event highlights the volatility and tension in our communities right now. I ask for peace as we work through this difficult time.”

California Democrat Waters traveled to Minneapolis on Saturday to call on BLM to be “more confrontational” to ensure the jury convicts Chauvin.

“[Protestors] got to stay on the street and get more active, more confrontational. They’ve got to know that we mean business,” said Waters.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” she continued. “And we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd, if nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice.”

“If we don’t,” Waters added, “we cannot go away.”

Alex Jones breaks down how, yet again, Maxine Waters is calling for civil unrest and ‘fighting’ in the streets in the name of ending police violence.
