The biggest challenge to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 Gog's military campaign is the amalgamation between Turkey's military and Persia (Iran). This obstacle is now no more. Iran’s Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri yesterday wound up a three-day visit to Turkey, a trip that showcased how the regional Sunni-Shiite rivals can swiftly smooth their differences in the face of common threats. Iran's military chief General Mohammad Baqeri met Erdogan on Wednesday on a visit Turkish media said was the first to Turkey by an Iranian military chief of staff since the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran.

Prophecy is moving fast. In Ezekiel 38 one of the main nations that Asia Minor (Magog) will lead in its military campaign is Persia: "Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you." "Persia" would be today's Iran and Cush is Sudan and Somalia a nation that Turkey has also this month established its military presence.

But with Iran, such military cooperation would be considered an improbability considering that Turkey is Sunni Muslim and Iran is Shiite Muslim, they are on the opposite side of the spectrum.  Yet Turkey and Iran yesterday decided to remove all the obstacles and have agreed to boost military cooperation after talks in Ankara this week between the Iranian armed forces chief of staff and Turkish leaders, President Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman said on Thursday.

So here we have a supposed NATO ally uniting in military efforts with what is considered a terror state: Iran.

And its not only military cooperation, Erdogan announced that he will even be visiting Iran very soon. Ibrahim Kalin, senior adviser to Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that "An agreement was reached to hold further high-level visits from now on" adding that: "a series of activities will also be held to boost military cooperation."

Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency quoted Baqeri as saying he had agreed with Turkey to hold joint training courses, and increase what they called 'counter-terrorism intelligence sharing'. He also said that Erdogan would visit Iran in the near future.

Bagheri, whose visit was a first since Iran’s 1979 Revolution, was given the full red carpet treatment, including face time with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Bagheri and nine top-ranking Iranian generals also held talks with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar, Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli and Turkey’s national spy chief, Hakan Fidan. The sides also agreed to boost military cooperation. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour announced earlier this week that Erdogan had “plans to visit Iran soon.”

Fidan, one of the most enigmatic figures in Erdogan’s inner circle, had been labeled pro-Iran until Turkey began sponsoring Sunni Arab rebels seeking to overthrow Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, who was backed by Iran and Russia.

Iran and Turkey by this will dissuade the Iraqi Kurdish alliance ensuring that there will be no hope for an independent Kurdish state. That plus Iran and Turkey have much in common to stand against Saudi Arabia and Israel in the future. Shiite Iran and Sunni Turkey also share deeply ingrained hatred of Western powers, namely the United States.

Before tyrannies arise they usually are hit with extreme paranoia expressing fears that their nation is under threat. Ibrahim Karagul, the editor-in-chief of pro-government Yeni Safak, summed up Ankara’s fevered mindset in his column yesterday: “The Republic of Turkey is faced with the greatest threat of its history. Because for the first time it is openly confronted by a multinational front.” Karagul concluded, “If so, it is necessary to conclude broader, deeper and greater lasting agreements with Iran, Russia and the [government] in Damascus.”

On Aug. 14, Turkey’s Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci announced plans to use a land route through Iran to ferry goods to Qatar, which remains under blockade from Saudi Arabia and its allies. Turkey and Iran have sided with Qatar in the dispute.

While Sunni Turkey to side with Shiite Iran and Qatar against Saudi Arabia is shocking to many, it is not unusual considering the history between Arabia's siding with the West against the Ottomans. Turkey never forgot Arabia's cooperation with the English.

In 2015, while Saudi Arabia's alliance with Turkey against Iran was being formed we wrote the opposite: "Saudi Arabia’s Attempt To Create A Sunni Alliance Against Iran Will Fail". It failed.

The harlot in the desert, Saudi Arabia is becoming more desperate and Babylon is beginning to see the writing on the desert sand: Persia is coming and this time its uniting with Turkey. In an apparent counter maneuver, Saudi Arabia has been flirting with unusual allies: Israel and the Kurds. It aided in the Kurdish-Iranian rebel activity inside Iran.

But what unites Turkey with Iran is not only their hatred for Israel and Saudi Arabia, Iran needs a gateway to Europe and the only route is via Turkey. More than a fifth of Iran's trade goes through Turkey. Around fifth of Turkey’s natural gas comes from Iran.

Also, Turkey has great reverence to Ali, Hassan and Hussein, the Shiite historic and religious martyrs and icons.

Erdogan doesn't even mind praying over Khomeini’s grave.

The comment in Arabic above states "Caliph Erdogan visits Imam Khomeni praying for his soul and he wept heavily"

These factors makes it easier for Turkey to be a temporary unifier between Sunnis and Shiites against Wahhabists, which in the end will be detrimental and will please the West. The Iranian revolutionary leaders are also Azeri Turks and have kinship with the Ottomans. The Turks do not hold the same animosity towards Shiite ideology, as do Sunni Arabs. But when it comes to the Arabs, Turkey holds a historic long memory against Saudi Arabia’s aid to oust the Ottomans during the Sharif Hussein revolt (1916-1918).

The Bible clearly reveals that Iran and Turkey are locked into an alliance despite what political analysts say. Today this is becoming clear.

The Ezekiel 38 program is on course, Gog is a leader from Turkey who unites with Persia (Iran), Libya and Somalia. The latter is already working with Turkey and Erdogan has already set up camp there with military cooperation and training. In Ezekiel 30:8 it speaks of a league. In the next coming years we will see it form. Most students isolate Ezekiel 38 ignoring that the whole theme of Ezekiel’s prophecy stems from Ezekiel 28 to Ezekiel 39. All this needs to be viewed in whole. Unfortunately, many do not like to read the entire context and seem to be satisfied to only reading one chapter—Ezekiel 38.

In our view, ahistoricals should have no voice in the Prophecy circles.

Back in 2014 we predicted and wrote: “We can already see, as we predicted at Shoebat.com, that Turkey and Iran will unite, despite their differences on Syria or that there is a Shiite-Sunni divide in the region.”
