In light of the relentless onslaught on Christian morality from the LGBT, Catholic Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Springfield Diocese has taken public stand against them. Simply repeating Catholic doctrine that has been taught since the earliest days of the Church, he ordered all priests in his diocese to withhold all sacraments from anybody who is a practicing homosexual or a supporter of the LGBT agenda while claiming to be Catholic until they repent of their sins:

The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Springfield, Ill., is calling on priests there to deny Holy Communion and even funeral rites to people in same-sex unions unless they show “some signs of repentance” for their relationships before death.

The decree by Bishop Thomas Paprocki also said that people “living publicly” in same-sex marriages may not receive the sacrament of confirmation or be admitted to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, a process by which many converts become Catholic, preparing them for baptism and confirmation.

At the same time, Paprocki said that children living with a Catholic parent or parents in a same-sex marriage may be baptized. But when it comes to same-sex unions, priests cannot bless couples, church property cannot be used for ceremonies and diocesan employees are forbidden from participating, the decree said.

...

Although same-sex marriages have been legal across the United States since the Supreme Court’s 2015 ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, the decree reiterates church teaching that marriage is a “covenant between one man and one woman.” The church’s official catechism states that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.”

Four years ago, after gay marriage was legally recognized in Illinois, Paprocki “performed an exorcism in response to the law, suggesting politicians were ‘morally complicit’ in assisting the sins of same-sex couples,” the Chicago Tribune reported. (source)

Now this penalty is not meant to "throw people out of church." To the contrary, it is meant to bring people back to Church and to encourage them to repent of their sins and turn away from their wicked ways. This is especially important today, where far too many Catholic clergy have forsook their duties to the faithful and society and refused to take necessary public actions against the LGBT agenda.

The reality is that the Catholic Church has always been the largest obstacle to the advancement of the LGBT agenda because the Catholic Church was established by Christ fulfill His mission to bring the message of salvation to the human race. The LGBT has always hated the Church and throughout history has attempted to and even many times deeply infiltrated the offices of the Church to attempt to destroy it from within, but as Sacred Scripture has promised that the Church, the Rock of Peter, will prevail over the gates of hell, so she has always defeated the LGBT even when all would seem hopeless. As such, no matter how evil men are that may infest her highest offices, her doctrine can never change. It is something that no layman, priest, bishop, cardinal, or even the pope himself can change because just as a trustee cannot add to or withdraw from a trust but simply administer what is already present, the Pope and those under him are merely trustees to the deposit of Faith which was given by God, the garantor, to the human race for the salvation of men.

When we at Shoebat.com say that homsexuality is a sin that is "worthy of death," we are not saying this on our own assessments. We say it because that is what the Old and New Testament say about homosexuality because of the vile nature of that sin. Sacred Scripture is likewise supported by Sacred Tradition, who through the words and writings of the saints echoes in detail the evil that is this is:

St. Augustine says:

“Sins against nature, therefore, like the sin of Sodom, are abominable and deserve punishment whenever and wherever they are committed. If all nations committed them, all alike would be held guilty of the same charge in God’s law, for our Maker did not prescribe that we should use each other in this way. In fact, the relationship that we ought to have with God is itself violated when our nature, of which He is Author, is desecrated by perverted lust.”

“Your punishments are for sins which men commit against themselves, because, although they sin against You, they do wrong in their own souls and their malice is self-betrayed. They corrupt and pervert their own nature, which You made and for which You shaped the rules, either by making wrong use of the things which You allow, or by becoming inflamed with passion to make unnatural use of things which You do not allow” (Rom. 1:26). (St. Augustine, Confessions, Book III, chap. 8)

St. John Chrysostom says:

“All passions are dishonorable, for the soul is even more prejudiced and degraded by sin than is the body by disease; but the worst of all passions is lust between men…. The sins against nature are more difficult and less rewarding, since true pleasure is only the one according to nature. But when God abandons a man, everything is turned upside down!  Therefore, not only are their passions [of the homosexuals] satanic, but their lives are diabolic….. So I say to you that these are even worse than murderers, and that it would be better to die than to live in such dishonor. A murderer only separates the soul from the body, whereas these destroy the soul inside the body….. There is nothing, absolutely nothing more mad or damaging than this perversity.” (St. John Chrysostom, In Epistulam ad Romanos IV, in J. McNeill, op. cit., pp. 89-90)

St Gregory the Great says:

“Brimstone calls to mind the foul odors of the flesh, as Sacred Scripture itself confirms when it speaks of the rain of fire and brimstone poured by the Lord upon Sodom.  He had decided to punish in it the crimes of the flesh, and the very type of punishment emphasized the shame of that crime, since brimstone exhales stench and fire burns. It was, therefore, just that the sodomites, burning with perverse desires that originated from the foul odor of flesh, should perish at the same time by fire and brimstone so that through this just chastisement they might realize the evil perpetrated under the impulse of a perverse desire.” (St. Gregory the Great, Commento morale a Giobbe, XIV, 23, vol. II, p. 371, Ibid., p. 7)

St. Peter Damian, who spent much of his life fighting the LGBT during his times has much to say from this Book of Gomorrah. Among that he says:

“What else shall I say? It expels all the forces of virtue from the temple of the human heart and, pulling the door from its hinges, introduces into it all the barbarity of vice ... In effect, the one whom ... this atrocious beast [of homosexuality] has swallowed down its bloody throat is prevented, by the weight of his chains, from practicing all good works and is precipitated into the very abysses of its uttermost wickedness. Thus, as soon as someone has fallen into this chasm of extreme perdition, he is exiled from the heavenly motherland, separated from the Body of Christ, confounded by the authority of the whole Church, condemned by the judgment of all the Holy Fathers, despised by men on earth, and reproved by the society of heavenly citizens. He creates for himself an earth of iron and a sky of bronze ... He cannot be happy while he lives nor have hope when he dies, because in life he is obliged to suffer the ignominy of men’s derision and later, the torment of eternal condemnation” (Liber Gomorrhianus, in PL 145, col. 159-178).

St. Albert the Great says:

They are born from an ardent frenzy; they are disgustingly foul; those who become addicted to them are seldom freed from that vice; they are as contagious as disease, passing quickly from one person to another. (St. Albert the Great, In Evangelium Lucae XVII, 29, in J. McNeill, op. cit., p. 95)

St. Thomas Aquinas says:

“However, they are called passions of ignominy because they are not worthy of being named, according to that passage in Ephesians (5:12): ‘For the things that are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.’ For if the sins of the flesh are commonly censurable because they lead man to that which is bestial in him, much more so is the sin against nature, by which man debases himself lower than even his animal nature.” (St. Thomas Aquinas, Super Epistulas Sancti Pauli Ad Romanum I, 26, pp. 27f)

St. Bonaventure says:

“Seventh prodigy: All sodomites—men and women—died all over the earth, as Saint Jerome said in his commentary on the psalm ‘The light was born for the just.’ This made it clear that He was born to reform nature and promote chastity.” (St. Bonaventure, Sermon XXI—In Nativitate Domini, in Catolicismo (Campos/Sao Paulo), December 1987, p. 3; F. Bernardei, op. cit., p. 11)

St. Bernardino of Siena says:

“No sin has greater power over the soul than the one of cursed sodomy, which was always detested by all those who lived according to God….. Such passion for undue forms borders on madness. This vice disturbs the intellect, breaks an elevated and generous state of soul, drags great thoughts to petty ones, makes [men] pusillanimous and irascible, obstinate and hardened, servilely soft and incapable of anything.  Furthermore, the will, being agitated by the insatiable drive for pleasure, no longer follows reason, but furor…. Someone who lived practicing the vice of sodomy will suffer more pains in Hell than any one else, because this is the worst sin that there is.” (St. Bernardine of Siena, Predica XXXIX, in Le prediche volgari (Milan: Rizzoli, 1936), pp. 869ff., 915, in F. Bernadei, op. cit., pp. 11f)

St. Catherine of Siena says:

“They not only fail from resisting this frailty [of fallen human nature] … but do even worse as they commit the cursed sin against nature. Like the blind and stupid, having dimmed the light of their understanding, they do not recognize the disease and misery in which they find themselves. For this not only causes Me nausea, but displeases even the demons themselves, whom these miserable creatures have chosen as their lords. For Me, this sin against nature is so abominable that, for it alone, five cities were submersed, by virtue of the judgment of My Divine Justice, which could no longer bear them…. It is disagreeable to the demons, not because evil displeases them and they find pleasure in good, but because their nature is angelic and thus is repulsed upon seeing such an enormous sin being committed. It is true that it is the demon who hits the sinner with the poisoned arrow of lust, but when a man carries out such a sinful act, the demon leaves.” (St. Catherine of Siena, El diálogo, in Obras de Santa Catarina de Siena (Madrid: BAC, 1991), p. 292)

God's word and His holy saints make clear that homosexuality is a vile abomination in the eyes of God. It is so evil that it even sickens the demons who entice men to commit the foul act. The very evil nature of this act is such that homosexuals are worthy of death because as St. Bonaventure alludes to, their very presence on this earth is a blasphemy against God and his creation, a festering pox on the bosom of humanity that will poison men unless it is cleansed from the Earth.

God destroyed Sodom many centuries ago as an example to the whole human race to see the absolute hatred that He has for this sin, and that whose who practice it will suffer the same fate as those of ancient times, for God is timeless and does not change as He is Perfect Love, and His Mercy is perfect just as His Justice is perfect.

Above, Jesus died for you and I. Below is what the LGBT think of Christ.

If you are a homosexual and reading this, understand that what Bishop Paprocki has done to those who associate themselves with the Catholic Faith while claiming to be homosexuals is not an attack on them. It is an act of mercy meant to bring them to reconsider their errors and make reconciliation with the Church, understanding as Our Lord says in Sacred Scripture, to "go forth and sin no more." This is "tough love" as adminstered through the Catholic Church, because the Church desires the salvation of all men.

The Sodomites blaspheme God with their rainbow flags, as the rainbow was a sign of God's mercy that He would never against destroy the human race by a flood. What the LGBT has done is to take that rainbow and make it the rallying symbol of their rebellion against God and all of His creation, shoving the sign of His mercy to mankind in His face, mocking him without end. But never forget, God will not be mocked. His patience and mercy has its limits, and if men refuse to even try to make amends for their sins and persist in blaspheming and mocking God, He will eventually withdraw His grace and give men what they have justly earned through their beliefs and actions. As the Bible says, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, in whose sight we are veritably nothing.

The sign says "Satan is waiting for us in Hell in his bed"

This is how vile the LGBT is. They will mock God right to His face and then have the audacity to get mad at God when God finally gives these reprobates their due justice which they have so ardently asked for by their words and actions.

Right now, the LGBT sewage is being poured forth upon the Earth just like the Deluge of Noah. It is in every country and no nation can escape it. It is an all out war against the human race and God's creation, and if it is not stopped, then God will stop it. If what God did to Sodom was meant as a sign for the human race, and if God once destroyed the world by water but said He would no longer use this means, then the answer is clear. Just as the Sodomites were destroyed by fire from Heaven, so will God punish the human race and purge the Earth of the homosexual filth by fire. It is interesting to note, as we have discussed here at Shoebat.com, that modern Catholic mystics have spoken of a punishment by fire from Heaven for the sins of men. I speak specifically of Our Lady of Akita, who warned in accordance with what many have said about the Third Secret of Fatima that:

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

“The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them” (source)

The world is celebrating "LGBT rights," but as it is said, pride comes before a fall. We are right now in some of the most dangerous times in history, for as we have been documenting, the evils that have always existed are still there, but the weapons and their delivery systems as well as communications systems have brought men closer together than ever before. As we have been documenting the rise of a new National Socialism as well as a renewed and aggressive form of paganism, not to mention the threats posed by Islam, we are seeing the conditions form for a terrible global war that will inevitably result in the persecution of Christians worldwide likely is ways not seen since Roman times. But perhaps the greatest scandal is that were historically the Church would speak up, instead there has been silence mixed with confusion, leading to greater disorder and furthering the chaos, for as the saying goes, "so goes the Church, so goes the world."

Bishop Paprocki is being very merciful in his approach to the LGBT problem in his diocese. In our modern times where confusion is expected and misguidance the standard, it is refreshing to see one of the Bishops of the Church actually do his job and enforce the laws of God for his diocese.

Now is the time to repent, because there will come a time when repentance is no longer possible. Indeed, keep your lamps full of oil and bring an extra flask or two...
