Abdulgadir Masharipov walked into a nightclub in Istanbul on New Years Eve and began randomly shooting people, killing 39 and injuring countless more. In court, he confessed that he did it because he hated Christians and wanted to kill them on 'their holiday':
An Islamist gunman, who has confessed to the killing of 39 people at an Istanbul nightclub on New Year's Day, told a court that he had aimed to kill Christians during his attack, Hurriyet newspaper said on Monday, citing testimony given this weekend.
Abdulgadir Masharipov initially planned to attack the area around Taksim Square but switched to the upscale Reina nightclub due to the heightened security measures around the square, Hurriyet said, without saying how it had obtained the document.
Reuters was not given access to the confidential document.
"I did not take part in any acts before the Reina event. I thought of carrying out an act against Christians on their holiday, to take revenge for their killing acts across the world. My goal was to kill Christians," he was quoted as saying.
"If I had decided to do so, I would have used a gun and killed the people there (Taksim). There was no entrance to Taksim, it was swarming with police. I changed my mind after that," Huuriyet quoted him as saying in the court document. (source)
Islamic theology teaches a hatred of Christianity that is as powerful as it is unnatural. No matter how one tries to mollify, rephrase, or refuse to address the matter, Islam ultimately hates Christianity because Mohammed hated Jesus. The only Jesus he liked was that made to his image and liking, not the Jesus who revealed Himself to the world. It is only natural that Muslims in their zeal for Islam should hate the followers of Christ, and the more one accords himself to Islam belief the more powerful this hatred should grow.
As terrible as this situation is, what could be a more honest statement than this from a Muslim? So often there is talk about Muslims engaging in different form of theologically-permitted deceit for the purpose of propagating Islam, and this is true. It is seldom that a Muslim simply comes out and just says exactly what he is thinking because his religion teaches it and the imam preaches it in the local mosque- 'I hate you because you are not us and if I could murder you and get away with it I would?'
For many years, there has been a serious problem with honestly in American and Europe when it comes to discussing Islam. So many people, even still today, do not want to have a frank discussion about the existential threat that Islam poses and what Islam really thinks about non-Muslims when the truth is as clear as the nose on a man's face.
Those who will not believe Masharipov and the many others like him are as just as bad as the Muslims are but in a different way. The Masharipov's of the world hate you but make it plain to you- one cannot say they are lying. Those who would make excuses and apologize for them are just as bad but in a more deceitful way because they would hide the truth either for personal gain or because they only want to believe about Islam what they want to, and so would lie to you in order to preserve their image.
