Watch: Bayer Exec Brags mRNA Shots Are ‘Gene Therapy’ Marketed as ‘Vaccines’

Without help from the global pandemic people may never have been convinced to inject themselves with an experimental mRNA gene therapy, a scientist bragged during a world health conference.
Speaking at the opening of the World Health Summit 2021 last November, Bayer Pharmaceuticals Division President Stefan Oelrich admitted were it not for the pandemic, the experimental injection may have seen an extremely high rejection rate.

“We are really taking that leap [to drive innovation] – us as a company, Bayer – in cell and gene therapies,” Oelrich stated.
“Ultimately, the mRNA vaccines are an example for that cell and gene therapy,” Oelrich admitted.
“I always like to say: if we had surveyed two years ago in the public – ‘would you be willing to take a gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body?’ – we probably would have had a 95% refusal rate,” he said, adding, “I think this pandemic has opened many people’s eyes to innovation.”
Oelrich continued: “Our successes over these 18 months [the duration of the COVID ‘pandemic’] should embolden us to fully focus much more closely on access, innovation and collaboration to unleash health for all, especially as we enter, on top of everything else that is happening, a new era of science – a lot of people talk about the Bio Revolution in this context.”

We pledged, this past year, to give an additional hundred million women access to contraception in the world. We’ve invested 400 million this year into new plants that are dedicated to produce long-acting contraceptives for women in low-and-middle income countries … Together with Bill and Melinda Gates we’re working very closely on family planning initiatives,” said Oelrich, implying one of the methods of attaining a “sustainable” world is by reducing births, and subsequently reducing the planet’s population.
Oelrich’s words echo a similar agenda as the infamous “<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/now-is-the-time-for-a-great-reset/" target="_blank">Great Reset,</a>” a radical<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.weforum.org/videos/now-is-the-time-to-press-the-reset-button-on-capitalism-b7c64e853b" target="_blank"> socialist plan</a> designed by globalist elites, gathering at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland once a year, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/joe-biden-socialist-great-reset-movement" target="_blank">which</a> “seeks to ‘push the reset button’ on the global economy.”
In the announcement of the Great Reset initiative, the WEF also credited the COVID-19 “pandemic” for putting them in an advantageous position to march towards their global revolutionary goals.
“COVID-19 lockdowns may be gradually easing, but anxiety about the world’s social and economic prospects is only intensifying. There is good reason to worry: a sharp economic downturn has already begun, and we could be facing the worst depression since the 1930s. But, while this outcome is likely, it is not unavoidable,” <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/now-is-the-time-for-a-great-reset/" target="_blank">wrote the WEF’s founder</a> Klaus Schwab in June 2020.

Despite doctors and scientists openly admitting the mRNA vaccines fundamentally alter a person’s DNA on a molecular level, fact-check sites such as Politifact and the Poynter Institute have continued to insist this is not the case.

Actor and self-proclaimed liberal Russell Brand is stimulating the minds of the masses by questioning some of the narratives mainstream media and establishment politicians are pushing amid the Ukraine-Russia war.
On Tuesday, Brand uploaded a video titled, “We’re Not Allowed To Discuss This,” to his popular YouTube channel where he went on to detail how the planet got to the point of this potentially WWIII-starting event.
The presentation provides some historical background regarding NATO’s encroachment on Russia, Washington’s influence on the globalist bureaucracy and more.
By allowing his viewers to hear the arguments from both sides of the complex geopolitical conflict, Brand hopes to help the average person better decide for themselves what’s really going on.
“Ukraine has become an ideological battleground,” he said. “On one hand, Russia wants Ukraine to be available for ongoing alliance, or to have independent political systems, or political systems that are favorable to Russia’s end. And the West wants Ukraine to have political systems that are favorable to its intentions. There is no one, I think, that’s really asking what’s best for Ukraine.”
This video has been watched more than 1.5 million times in three days.

A second video investigating the Russian-Ukrainian war has nearly 2 million views since being uploaded on Wednesday.
Titled, “I’ve Been Warned Not To Talk About This,” Brand focused on the hypocrisy of America criticizing Russia’s invasion while having illegally entered several countries in the past few decades.

On Friday, Brand released yet another video focusing on the Russia-Ukraine war.
The latest report, “There’s More To This,” looks at protests and two-faced statements by several governments around the world.
While many Russians are being arrested for protesting the war in Ukraine, the Canadian government and others are publicly supporting these demonstrations.
However, as Brand points out, the Canadian government doesn’t value the principles they claim to support when it comes to domestic policies.
“In Canada, they’re freezing bank accounts, they’re shutting down GoFundMe pages of truckers,” he said.
Basically, Brand wanted his viewers to know most politicians only “support” protests when it looks good to do so and doesn’t cost them anything.
“But if those protests go against their globalist, corporate agenda, they will shut it down,” he explained.

Russia is strengthening its censorship regime by blocking Facebook

After a week of <a href="https://www.vox.com/2022/2/26/22951757/russia-facebook-twitter-youtube-censorship-social-media">threats and half-measures</a>, the Russian government has officially blocked Facebook and continues to restrict Twitter from the tens of millions of users in the country who use the apps daily.
The move comes at a time when the Russian government is unsurprisingly increasing its crackdown on the free press and other sources of information to control the narrative about its invasion of Ukraine (which Russian media is not allowed to call a war, but instead a “<a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/3/2/do-not-call-ukraine-invasion-a-war-russia-tells-media-schools">special military operation</a>”). In the past few weeks, the few remaining independent local news outlets in Russia that are not government-affiliated <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/03/world/europe/russia-ukraine-propaganda-censorship.html">have been shut down</a>, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new law that threatens up to <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2022/3/4/22961472/russia-fake-news-law-military-ukraine-invasion-casualties-jail-time">15 years in jail</a> for Russians who post “fake news” about the invasion, and the government has already <a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/2/27/more-than-2000-arrested-at-anti-war-protests-in-russia">arrested thousands of anti-war protesters</a>.
Now, Facebook and Twitter — which Russians have used to voice dissent and share independent news about the brutality of the war — are the latest target of Putin’s crackdown on media. While Facebook and Twitter have complicated track records and are sometimes used by bad actors (even the Russian government itself) to <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/05/26/facebook-disinformation-russia-report/">interfere with democracy</a>, Putin’s shutdown of these apps will undoubtedly have a chilling effect on political speech in Russia.
Russians can still find other news sources, watch YouTube, and communicate on apps like Telegram — one of the most popular social media apps in Russia — but the government is stifling discussion on two major platforms where it’s easy to broadcast to massive audiences, and where people in Russia can share with the rest of the world. It’s unclear if the government blocks will extend to other apps that Facebook’s parent company Meta owns, like WhatsApp and Instagram.
“Censoring is too modest of a word right now for what they’re doing,” said UC Irvine law professor and former UN special rapporteur for free speech David Kaye.
Meanwhile, Russia’s communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, has accused Facebook of being the one doing the censoring, saying in a <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/russia-ukraine-social-media/">statement released</a> on Friday that the social media company was engaging in “discrimination against Russian media and information resources.” In the past week, Facebook has begun fact-checking what it says are misleading claims published by Russia Today (RT) and other state media within Russia, and it’s <a href="https://news.sky.com/story/ukraine-invasion-facebook-and-instagram-to-block-rt-and-sputnik-in-the-uk-following-government-request-12557469">blocked RT in Europe and the UK</a>.
Facebook’s president of global affairs Nick Clegg previously said that the Russian government was trying to stop Facebook from implementing its independent fact-checking efforts, and on Friday <a href="https://twitter.com/nickclegg/status/1499819557870989316">posted a statement</a> on his Twitter account in response to the Kremlin’s Facebook shutdown.
“Soon millions of ordinary Russians will find themselves cut off from reliable information, deprived of their everyday ways of connecting with family and friends and silenced from speaking out,” Clegg tweeted. “We will continue to do everything we can to restore our services so they remain available to people to safely and securely express themselves and organize for action.”
Twitter has previously said that its services are restricted in Russia but not fully blocked. “We’re aware that Twitter is being restricted for some people in Russia and are working to keep our service safe and accessible,” Twitter’s company <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSupport/status/1497615384169566215">account tweeted</a> on February 26.
While many political experts believe that these crackdowns will help Russia’s government tighten its grip, in a twist that’s surprising to some, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/03/02/mykhailo-fedorov-ukraine-tech/">Ukrainian government leaders had recently been urging</a> Facebook and Twitter to cut off access to their apps in Russia. That’s because the Ukrainian government viewed it as a kind of “sanction” on the Russian government, in the hope that the action would prompt Russians to pressure the government to act differently.
“There’s this weird irony in that Ukraine was demanding the companies take the steps of not being available in Russia, and now Russia has done that for them. And I think it’s a bad outcome,” Kaye said. He added that he understands Ukrainian concerns that social media platforms are being used to spread pro-Russian propaganda and the desire to penalize its government.
Social media platforms — especially Facebook — have been criticized for being places where <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/15/tech/facebook-stop-the-steal-evasion/index.html">anti-democratic</a> and even <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/dec/06/rohingya-sue-facebook-myanmar-genocide-us-uk-legal-action-social-media-violence">genocidal</a> movements can flourish, fueled by unchecked misinformation and calls to violence that social media companies failed to adequately moderate. But it’s complicated. These platforms are also meaningful tools for freedom of expression, particularly in places like Russia where there are limited independent media outlets, and social media fills in the gaps created by the state’s filters. While getting rid of Facebook and Twitter won’t stop political dissent in Russia overnight (for now, Russians can still use other apps, like Telegram, to communicate) — this seems to be just the beginning of Putin’s crackdown. It’s also likely to inspire other authoritarian regimes that are considering making similar moves.
Even when social media platforms are blocked in a country, there are always workarounds to sidestep restrictions, like using virtual private networks, or VPNs. But that can make organizing inaccessible to many who don’t have the financial or technical skills, or political inclination, to do so.
“Ordinary Russians are rushing to install VPNs, but it’s true only about the liberal part of the society — the rest are left in the dark,” said Russian investigative journalist Andrei Soldatov, a senior fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis. “Global platforms should do whatever it takes to stay available.”

The US took a key first step in welcoming Ukrainian refugees

The Biden administration announced Thursday that it will give temporary protection to Ukrainians already in the US. It’s a key first step in providing refuge to those displaced by Russia’s war on their country, though it will do little to solve the greater Ukrainian refugee crisis.
According to the administration, Ukrainians who arrived in the US on or prior to March 1, 2022, will be eligible to apply for what’s called temporary protected status (TPS), which will allow them to legally live and work in the US for the next 18 months. TPS is typically offered to citizens of countries suffering from natural disasters or armed conflict. The federal government could decide to extend their protections after that 18-month period should recipients be unable to return to Ukraine.
There are an estimated <a href="https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/Temporary-Protected-Status-for-Ukrainians-An-Overview">34,000 Ukrainians</a> who do not currently have another kind of legal immigration status in the US, and that’s who will benefit from the decision. Almost half of them reside in four states — Illinois, Michigan, California, and New York — and <a href="https://trac.syr.edu/phptools/immigration/court_backlog/">nearly 4,000</a> were facing deportation proceedings. US immigration authorities also <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ukraine-russia-ice-deportations-suspended/">halted all deportation flights</a> to Ukraine for the time being, as well as deportations to Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.
“Russia’s premeditated and unprovoked attack on Ukraine has resulted in an ongoing war, senseless violence, and Ukrainians forced to seek refuge in other countries,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/news/2022/03/03/secretary-mayorkas-designates-ukraine-temporary-protected-status-18-months?mc_cid=07a38f9bf9&mc_eid=5cd28a0d6d">statement</a> Thursday. “In these extraordinary times, we will continue to offer our support and protection to Ukrainian nationals in the United States.”
<a href="https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/sites/default/files/research/coalition_urges_admin_designate_tps_ukraine.pdf">Immigrant advocates</a> have been calling on the Biden administration to give Ukrainians temporary protected status in concert with other pathways for legal protection in the US. Importantly, TPS doesn’t do anything for people unable to flee Ukraine in time to reach the US by March 1. Commercial flights out of Ukraine <a href="https://www.euronews.com/travel/2022/02/24/ukraine-closes-its-airspace-to-civilian-flights-as-the-country-is-declared-a-conflict-zone">stopped operating</a> on February 24 and lines have stretched for miles at the border with Ukraine’s neighboring countries, leaving people stranded in the cold or in their cars for days at a time. TPS also won’t alleviate the burden on European countries that have taken in more than 1 million refugees so far.
All of that means there’s still more the US could do to provide safe haven to Ukrainians.
<h3>The US can still make it easier for Ukrainians to come</h3>
The Biden administration has stated that it has no intention of carrying out a <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/16/us/politics/us-evacuation-ukraine-kabul.html">mass evacuation of Ukrainians</a>, as it did for Afghanis after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan last year. But there are other ways that it could make it easier for Ukrainians to come to the US.
But the administration’s capabilities to respond to the crisis are more limited than they were before the pandemic and Trump-era cutbacks decimated the refugee program, which has severely limited the capacity of agencies domestically and abroad to process and resettle refugees quickly. The Ukraine crisis makes the imperative to rebuild that capacity even more urgent. So far, the Biden administration hasn’t taken any additional actions to speed up that process amid the Ukraine crisis.
In the meantime, President Joe Biden can take immediate steps to ensure that Ukrainians and others fleeing the war are prioritized for resettlement. The number of European refugees the US can accept is capped at 10,000 for the current fiscal year, and as of January 31, 335 of those slots had already been filled, mostly by Ukrainians. Biden could unilaterally increase the number of spots allocated to Europeans and others fleeing Ukraine, such as Africans. Given that an estimated 4 million Ukrainian refugees are projected to flee their country in the coming weeks, it’s possible that many more than 10,000 Ukrainians may want to seek refuge in the US.
The Biden administration could also give Ukrainians <a href="https://www.cato.org/blog/cbp-should-grant-parole-fleeing-ukrainians-using-esta">authorization to travel to the US</a> and, upon arrival and screening, issue them humanitarian parole, which allows people facing urgent humanitarian need to enter and stay in the US without a visa. That would help Ukrainians continuing to arrive in the US who aren’t eligible for TPS because they arrived after the March 1 cutoff date. Parole can be approved within a matter of days or even hours, as opposed to the many months or years it typically takes to process a visa. It’s the mechanism that allowed tens of thousands of Afghans to resettle in the US last year.
Right now, most Ukrainian refugees are still transiting through neighboring European countries. But the US can share in the responsibility of taking in displaced Ukrainians, even if they haven’t already arrived. That starts with giving them viable pathways to come, using both TPS and the other mechanisms the Biden administration has to ease the refugee process.

If the first season of <a href="https://www.vox.com/2020/2/27/21152664/love-is-blind-spoilers-finale">Love Is Blind</a> presented the burning question of whether it’s a good idea to marry someone you barely know and have never seen, the second one all but answers that query with a definitive no.
The most recent season’s nine episodes followed six unpleasant, recently engaged couples — all of whom met in the show’s specially designed pods, which kept them from seeing each other until after the question had been popped — who seemed doomed to failure. To be fair, this aired right at the beginning of the pandemic and maybe my emotions were fragile and my need for a happy ending unusually strong. Maybe it just snuck in at the right time. But Love is Blind’s mix of earnest, hopeless romantics, one messy villain, and an audacious premise won me over. I was actively rooting for love and happiness!
I don’t know if the Love Is Blind team could ever replicate the first season, and if that’s impossible, then what exactly is the point? The next batch of couples could be even more incompatible and terrible to one another, but that seems like a different show than intended. Thanks to the show’s growing popularity, the gimmick — not being able to see your future partner — starts to seem a little weak, attracting more and more people who care less about the potential partners who can’t see them than the audience who can. So perhaps this is it, the last good season of Love Is Blind.
<h3>Love Is Blind season two was like aversion therapy for dating</h3>
The biggest difference between the first and second seasons of Love Is Blind is how deeply cynical the second one is. And this is coming from someone with a deeply misanthropic view of everyone on the many, many candid reality shows I enjoy. It felt as though the casting department, producers, and editors were creating a live-action taxonomy of people to avoid dating, rather than couples to root for.
In the first season, against the odds, the show had Cameron and Lauren, a surprisingly compatible, unusually down-to-earth, extremely attractive couple you couldn’t help but root for. They’re still married now. This season, Danielle is a suspicious scold and her fiancé, Nick, has weaponized relationship therapy lingo. She accuses him of cheating, he calls her toxic. She has a bag full of food-related costumes in her closet (because she says she likes to party), he gets in one to tell her what a horribly immature person she is.

Shayne presents phenotypically as a himbo, but harbors a mean streak. He has a complete meltdown when he fails to hit a baseball during the show’s bachelor party episode. His fiancée, Natalie, seems too good for him, but also has a penchant for putting him down. She flirts by calling him stupid.
Individually, Deepti, Sal, and Iyanna are too good for their respective fiancés (especially Deepti, who is paired with a man obsessed with the idea of carrying a woman on his shoulders during a music festival). Watching them navigate and hopefully avoid marrying their partners through the nine episodes of the show feels like watching teens in a slasher movie.
And God bless Shaina, a sociopathic chaos agent who seemed to want to stay on the show long enough to see if she could meet Shayne out of the pods. Her MO is impeccable: She feigned loving Kyle, ran away from him in Mexico, feigned loving him again, and then feigned loving Jesus so much that she broke up with him once and for all. No notes.
Each episode, I tuned in to see what fresh horrors these ghouls would inflict upon one another. Whether it be pining for someone else in the pods, or talking about how they and their friends love to dance on tables and break them, or telling their parents how not sexually attracted they are to their partner — each chapter was more horrifying than the last.
None of these people seemed good for each other, and maybe that was the point.
The first season was a little bit magic in that the people they found were all worth rooting for. Besides Cam and Lauren, we had Amber and Barnett who, as messy as they were, made sense together. Giannina Milady Gibelli was obviously too good for Damian whats-his-name, but <a href="https://www.vox.com/culture/2020/3/5/21164596/love-is-blind-reunion-review-netflix-winners-losers">I wanted her to be happy</a>. And even the forgettable couple — Tim/Ken/Jim/I cannot remember his name and Kelly — seemed like genuinely nice people.

Given how lucky the producers and editors were in that first season, they may have figured that it was time to swerve in a completely opposite direction than give us another edition of love winning out.
This season, it seemed, the show went vibes all-in on the first season’s villain: Jessica. Famous for her baby voice and feeding her dog wine, Jessica clearly did not love the man she paired off with, and had big feelings for Barnett. She was dubbed “<a href="https://www.vox.com/2020/2/29/21157983/love-is-blind-reunion-spoilers-marriages-breakups">Messica</a>” by a fellow castmate. Jessica seemed to be going through the motions of the show’s different stages with her partner, Mark — living together, wedding planning, bachelor and bachelorette parties — all to give Barnett a “pick me, choose me, love me” speech. That speech didn’t happen, but Jessica ended up being a significant presence on the series.
I don’t blame the show’s creators and creatives for picking four or five villains, because the force that is <a href="https://www.vox.com/culture/2020/3/5/21164596/love-is-blind-reunion-review-netflix-winners-losers">Messica</a> did capture people’s attention. I just wonder if there’s anything possible left in the tank for the series after this unpleasant watch.
<h3>Love Is Blind is also running up against its own reality show mortality</h3>
The half-life of a reality show gimmick is short. After its initial season, contestants on Survivor came in knowing they had to “<a href="https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/Pagonging">Pagong</a>” — i.e., keep their original tribe, outnumber the other one, and out-vote them at the merge — the competition. Top Chef and Project Runway hopefuls soon realized that the losing leaders on team challenges are the ones to go. It didn’t take long for Big Brother contestants to figure out how to “backdoor” someone into an eviction nomination.
Reality shows often have more than one way to “win,” however, and the show’s stated goal and the contestants’ goals might not line up. Candid reality shows, like any iteration of Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules, don’t have a “winner.” Everyone on them has a goal though: to get their contracts renewed. Those contracts mean more exposure, more fame, and more money. To keep that going and stay on the show, they know they have to keep the drama high and the rivalries spicy.
Similarly, contestants on the Bachelor and Bachelorette try to last long enough to make a name for themselves and get a social media following. Among the cast, it’s called “not being there for the right reasons.”

With two seasons under its belt, Love Is Blind is already becoming more of an avenue for its cast to get famous than it is to prove that love is blind. Just like on the <a href="https://www.vox.com/reset/2020/2/24/21145335/the-bachelor-instagram-social-media-influencers-money">Bachelor and Bachelorette</a>, past contestants parlayed their appearances into big Instagram followings and from there, seek out sponsorships. The Love Is Blind contestants have it a little different in that, of course, they never see their potential love interests.
It already seems like some contestants aren’t bought in on the show’s idea that it’s what’s inside that counts: Shake, for instance, asks women if he can pick them up as a way to gauge relative weight; Shayne asks for intricate descriptions of what his conversational partners are wearing.
It’s not hard to imagine a future contestant getting on the show and putting their best foot forward to the audience watching them to the point that it nullifies the “experiment” that they’re a part of. Future contestants could take notes of what does and doesn’t work on the show — e.g., Shaina telling Kyle she will wear his mother’s wedding ring even though she and Jesus do not love him — and make sure to come off as likable as possible.
That person might be more of a simulacrum of who they think will be more marketable on the TV show, rather than the person they actually are. And if this show is about the rarity of finding your one true love, wouldn’t a more sure investment be in post-show sponsorships and Instagram followings?
The goal for them is to be marketable, to be likable enough to have some kind of payout when the looming reality is that they’re probably going to be dumped. For some — probably most of them — being on the <a href="https://www.vox.com/culture/2020/3/3/21161189/love-is-blind-season-2-reunion-special-netflix">show is fundamentally at odds</a> with what the show is trying to do.
Granted, the show did a very good job this season of not picking Instagram-hungry contestants (although one failed contestant, Tricia, did become a bit of a punchline for repeatedly mentioning how many followers and friends she has; she did not get engaged). As of now, unlike The Bachelor, there’s no larger franchise universe or spinoff shows that Love Is Blind is attached to — a spinoff show with former contestants would undercut the notion of contestants not knowing what one another look like.
These factors may keep the show more earnest, but most of its main <a href="https://www.instagram.com/lifewithdeeps/?hl=en">cast members</a> now have <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dnellruhl/?hl=en">social media followings</a> in the hundreds of thousands. It can’t be long before contestants may realize that being a dumped sweetheart on the show pays off, or that a faked, showmance marriage might be worth it if the post-show paychecks are big enough. This trend would make season one seem like even more of an anomaly.
Love may be blind, but fame is not.

Russian Cats Get Cancelled

An international cat federation has banned all Russian-owned and bred cats from competing in international competitions, in a move that’s sure to stop Putin’s attack on Ukraine.
No, this isn’t a Babylon Bee story.
The Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe) issued a statement saying it “cannot just witness these atrocities and do nothing.”
The federation has decided that “no cat bred in Russia may be imported and registered in any FIFe pedigree book outside of Russia. … No cat belonging to exhibitors living in Russia may be entered at any FIFe show outside Russia.”
The ban will apply until at least the end of May and will punish popular breeds such as the Russian Blue, Peterbald and the Siberian cat, which can cost up to $4,000 dollars.
