Top Physician Says Vaccines Will Be ‘Needed For Years’ to Combat ‘Ebola-Level’ Strain of COVID

The new ‘Omicron’ variant of COVID-19 was first detected in four people who were fully vaccinated, according to a public statement by the Botswana government.
The new variant, which some claim is three times more contagious, was initially discovered in Botswana before it spread across South Africa.
The news was met with global alarm, prompting financial markets to plummet and new travel bans to be put in place.
According to a public statement by the Botswana government, the new mutation was first discovered in four people who had received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the report, four cases of the new variant “were reported and recorded” on November 22.
“The preliminary report revealed that all the four had been completely vaccinated for COVID-19,” according to Botswana authorities.
In a subsequent statement, the government revealed that the new variant “was detected on four foreign nationals who had entered Botswana on the 7th November 2021, on a diplomatic mission.”

“The quartet tested positive for COVID-19 on the 11th November 2021 as they were preparing to return,” according to the statement.
In a piece of good news, others who had close contact with the infectees “have no COVID-19 symptoms and have tested negative for COVID-19.”
As we <a href="https://summit.news/2021/11/26/belgian-prime-minister-says-new-variant-heralds-arrival-of-covid-21/">highlighted</a> earlier, according to Belgian Prime Minister , the Omicron variant is so potentially devastating that it should be called ‘COVID-21’.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s medical chief Dr. Angelique Coetzee described the panic as a “storm in a teacup,” adding that she had only seen “very very mild cases” of the variant so far.

Trump pulls no punches as he excoriates Biden’s ‘disaster’ response to the Covid pandemic including vaccine mandates

Former President Donald Trump slammed the Biden administration over vaccine mandates, inflation, the southern border crisis and more on Friday in a wide-ranging interview, but still plugged the COVID-19 vaccine that he was ‘very proud’ to get. 
Trump told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney that he ‘wanted’ Biden ‘to be successful,’ but claims his handling of COVID-19 and implementing vaccine mandates was a ‘disaster.’ 
‘Look, I wanted [Biden] to be successful on the whole thing on COVID – or as I call it, the China virus,’ Trump told Varney on ‘Varney & Co.’ on Friday. 
‘I wanted him to be successful. He’s been totally unsuccessful. It’s a disaster what’s happened.
‘I think he’s done a terrible job on the coronavirus.’ 
Trump admitted he ‘didn’t want to talk to China too much’ after COVID-19. 
He also called out inflation and said ‘the Americans have it totally right’ to believe the price hike has to do with Biden’s policies.

Covid variant as deadly as Ebola may emerge, top physician warns

Further mutations of the Covid-19 virus could spawn a strain as contagious as Delta and as deadly as the Ebola virus. That’s the stark warning from the World Medical Association.
Frank Ulrich Montgomery, chairman of the global physicians’ society the World Medical Association (WMA), shared his fears with Germany’s Funke media group’s newspapers on Saturday. He stressed the importance of not “giving the virus a chance” to mutate any further. To achieve this, it may be necessary to keep “vaccinating the world for years” to come, Montgomery said.
The Ebola virus, whose horrific effects on humans could be matched by a new covid strain just as the WMA chairman warns, was first discovered back in 1976 in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The deadliest outbreak to date occurred in West Africa between 2014 and 2016, claiming more than 11,000 lives. The disease brought on by the virus causes a severe fever and internal bleeding, with the average fatality rate being around 50%, according to the World Health Organization. Some of the known strains, however, have led to death in a terrifying 90% of all cases.

When asked about the situation in his homeland, Germany, Montgomery warned that the number of Covid infections is likely to double in the coming ten days. He also called for the introduction of stricter measures in the country, urging authorities to close all Christmas markets and to ban festivities, as well as fireworks. And, should the fourth wave of Covid still not let up, nationwide business closures and lockdowns may be necessary, the scientist forecast. Any measures taken now will only have a tangible effect in two weeks’ time and, along with the vaccination campaign, the delay could be as long as six weeks, he pointed out.
The bleak predictions come hard on the heels of the discovery of the new Omicron strain in southern Africa. On Friday, the World Health Organization formally designated Omicron a “variant of concern.” While scientists are still studying the novel strain, fears have already been voiced that the heavily mutated Covid variant could be more contagious than its predecessors.

Armed Agents in Texas School District Arrest Concerned Parents in Their Own Homes

The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) in Texas is using its own armed agents to arrest parents who <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.city-journal.org/public-school-boards-against-parents" target="_blank">speak</a> out against the school board’s policies, according to Christopher Rufo in the City Journal.
Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, said:

The battle lines are clear: on one side, the Biden administration, public school bureaucrats, and their armed agents; on the other, parents and families who oppose school closures, mask mandates, critical race theory and corruption. Public school officials have demonstrated a willingness to use police power to silence and intimidate their opponents.

Two fathers, Jeremy Story and Dustin Clark, had spoken out against the school board’s “alleged corruption and school officials’ hostility toward parents.” In August, while “produc[ing] evidence that the board had <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://rumble.com/vnqy9w-jeremy-story-tells-how-a-minister-and-an-army-captain-were-unlawfully-jaile.html?mref=6zof&mrefc=10" target="_blank">covered up</a> an <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://texasscorecard.com/local/questions-surround-central-texas-school-district-as-superintendent-is-accused-of-assault/" target="_blank">alleged assault</a> by the superintendent, Hafedh Azaiez, against a mistress,” Story, a minister, was cut off midsentence as Azaiez <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/blog/welcome-to-the-texas-gop-s-potemkin-village-of-conservatism/" target="_blank">ordered</a> armed officers to remove him from the premises, according to Chronicles Magazine.
At issue in the next meeting was the district’s mask mandate. For this, Clark, a retired Army captain, and other parents sought to speak, but instead, the school board “locked the majority of parents out of the room, preventing them from speaking.” According to Rufo, while the parents were asking the school board to open the room for public comment on a major policy item, “school board president Amy Weir directed officers to remove Clark from school property.”
“As he was dragged out by two officers, Clark <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.kxan.com/news/2-men-arrested-in-connection-to-disrupted-round-rock-isd-board-meeting/" target="_blank">shouted</a> to the audience: ‘It’s an open meeting! Shame on you. Communist! Communist! Let the public in!’” Rufo explained.
