The Covid-19 hoax is rapidly unravelling – CDC documents admit they have never isolated the virus

<p><strong>Last year when Covid sceptics were saying “there’s no such thing as a covid virus,” I strongly disagreed. As a published food scientist, laboratory owner and inventor of two published patents based on mass spectrometry analysis, I was aware that SARS-CoV-2 had been genomically sequenced. Surely, I mistakenly thought, it had been isolated, purified and determined to be the cause of covid-19 sickness.</strong></p>
<p>A year later, it turns out the sceptics were right. And the warnings of people like Dr. Thomas Cowan, Sally Fallon, Dr. Andrew Kaufman, Jon Rappoport, David Icke and others were right on the mark.</p>

<p>How did I come to realize the medical and scientific establishment has fabricated all this? And what’s the explanation for the very real sickness that people are experiencing?</p>
<p>I’ll share that story here, but in short, <strong>common cold viruses and monkey virus fragments found in flu shots are being mislabelled “covid,” and there is a weaponized spike protein bioweapon that’s being distributed via vaccine injections</strong>. That’s all real. But there’s no such thing as a real, physical, isolated covid-19 virus that has been harvested from sick people and shown to infect other people and make them sick. What we’re really witnessing here, it now seems, is three distinct things:</p>
<p>1) A cocktail of common cold viruses labeled “covid” which are circulating and causing sickness in some people, most likely because of the lack of immune system exposure to wild type viruses during all the global lockdowns.</p>
<p>2) A weaponized spike protein toxic nanoparticle that’s being injected into people as a “clot shot” … and it’s likely shedding, causing harmful side effects in other, unvaccinated people.</p>
<p>3) A wholly fraudulent PCR “casedemic” scheme that’s designed to flag almost anyone as “positive” based almost entirely on how many cycles the PCR sample prep instruments are instructed to carry out, thereby amplifying instrument noise to the point of a “positive” hit. Almost anything can be flagged as “positive,” including genetic material fragments from previous years’ flu shots.</p>
<p>These three things — combined with the media’s mass hysteria programming — have achieved a level of global fear and psychological terrorism that the world has never seen before. But it’s all based on lies, it turns out. And here’s how we know.</p>
<h2>No certified reference materials for isolated SARS-CoV-2 “covid-19” virus</h2>
<p>As a lab owner, published scientist and mass spec analyst myself, I am extremely familiar with the process of using certified reference materials (CRMs) to validate analysis methods and instrument calibration sequences. (I’ve spent far too many evenings creating serial dilutions of standards using a Gilson pipette, trust me…)</p>
<p>Here’s how the process normally works in a legitimate science lab:</p>
<p><strong>Step 1)</strong> Acquire the CRM of the thing you want to test (“analyte”). This means acquiring a purified, isolated standard with a known concentration, usually in a carrier such as water, or as a dry powder. For example, when I’m testing for mercury in food, I have a certified mercury standard with a known concentration of mercury, dissolved in water, nitric acid and hydrochloric acid.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2)</strong> Run the CRM as a sample, at different concentrations, to build a “curve” that effectively teaches the instrument what the analyte looks like and how the instrument detector responds to different concentrations of the analyte. The end result is a “quant curve” that will be used in step 3.</p>
<p>NOTE: Instruments will “match” the thing you’re looking for by a variety of methods, filtering out all other things that don’t match. In mass spec work, molecules are identified by their molecular mass, ion fragmentation patterns, and elution time on chromatography columns. For a substance to match, it has to hit all these parameters. In PCR testing, a “match” is a genomic sequence made of base pairs, defined in a digital library that may or may not have ever been run against a real, physical standard in the real world.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3)</strong> Run unknown samples through the instrument (of blood serum, urine, saliva, water, food sample extracts, etc.) and see if the unknown sample contains any of the thing you were looking for (the analyte). Because you built a quant curve, you can also then determine the concentration of the analyte in the original sample. This is typically described as mass over volume, such as ng / ml (nanograms per milliliter). A nanogram is a billionth of a gram. When we test foods for glyphosate, we can detect as little as 1 nanogram per milliliter, which tells you something about the extreme sensitivity of high-end instruments.</p>
<p>This is the process to test something and identify <em>how much</em> of something is found in something else. For example, if you were going to determine if someone was sick with “covid,” you would need to determine the concentration of covid-19 viruses in their blood (i.e. the “viral load”). This is science / biology 101.</p>
<p>So what’s the problem, then?</p>
<p>You’d be stunned to realize how deep the science fraud really goes. Consider these critical points:</p>
<p><strong>Point #1: There appear to be no isolated, purified Certified Reference Materials available for SARS-CoV-2 “covid”</strong>. I’ve seen companies that claim to be selling “isolates” containing covid viruses, but in their own description, they explain that their vials contain genetic material from “host cells” (human cells) as well as bovine serum cells, which means it’s a cocktail stew of who-knows-what. Yet it’s called an “isolate.”</p>
<p>Case in point: BEI Resources, which offers something they call an “isolate” of covid-19, <a href="https://www.beiresources.org/Catalog/ItemDetails.aspx?BEINum=NR-52286&Template=BEIInactivatedOrganisms">that you can find at this link</a>. As the description states for this covid-19 “isolate:”</p>
<p><em>…[T]his product is not suitable as a whole cell antigen preparation because the protein content is largely contributed by the host cell and the fetal bovine serum used during virus propagation.</em></p>
<p>In other words, <strong>most of the genetic material in the “isolate” is actually from human cells</strong>. So it’s not an isolate at all. The covid virus isn’t isolated. In fact, this “isolate” contains viral genetic material, human genetic material and bovine genetic material, plus whatever other viruses were present in the blood of the people and the cows. This could be millions of different nanoparticles present, each containing their own sequences of genetic material.</p>
<p><strong>Point #2: If you have no isolated, certified reference materials, you can’t develop a legitimate analysis test.</strong> And this is exactly what the FDA admits <a href="https://www.fda.gov/media/134922/download">in its own documents</a>, which state that since covid-19 viruses weren’t available for the development of the PCR test, <strong>they “simulated” it</strong> by using human cells and gene bank coronavirus fragments. From the FDA’s own document:</p>
<p><em>Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV were available for CDC use at the time the test was developed and this study conducted, assays designed for detection of the 2019-nCoV RNA were tested with characterized stocks of in vitro transcribed full length RNA … spiked into a diluent consisting of a suspension of human A549 cells and viral transport medium (VTM) to mimic clinical specimen.</em></p>
<p>In other words, <strong>they faked the covid virus</strong> by using gene bank cells which were deliberately and falsely labeled “covid.” This is how the PCR test was developed. The FDA admits it all. The PCR test is a fraud.</p>
<p><strong>Point #3: If you don’t have a CRM isolate, you can’t calibrate instruments against a known sample</strong>. And this means the PCR tests aren’t being calibrated against anything real and physical. Instead, they’re relying on downloaded digital libraries provided by none of than the CDC, the very same Big Pharma front group that’s spearheading this covid scam.</p>
<p><strong>Point #4: PCR instruments are incapable of quantitative analysis.</strong> <strong>The “positive” hits are nothing but amplified background noise.</strong> No PCR instrument can tell you <em>how much</em> of some genetic material was found in an original sample. It can merely detect the presence of material on a yes / no basis. In lab science, this is called a “qualitative” analysis, not a quantitative analysis.</p>
<p>In qualitative analysis, the key factor is the “Limit of Detection” (LOD) of the instrument. How little of the sample will still create a “hit” for the instrument? <strong>In all instruments, for the LOD to be scientifically valid, it must be something that rises above background noise</strong>, or it’s scientifically meaningless. All instruments produce background noise, which are “peaks” or “hits” that represent detector static, you might say. These exist at a background level even when you’re running nothing in the instrument.</p>
<p>To show you what this looks like, consider the following graphic. It shows some mass spec results across a spectrum of masses. The horizontal axis here is m/z (mass over charge), which is simplified to just “mass” for general discussion. It’s the mass of the molecules or particles being detected.</p>
<p>Notice the red and orange lines across the bottom of each chart. That’s largely “background” noise across all the masses. Then notice the very tall orange peak which rises above the background. This is the mass of the molecule they’re looking for. It might be a pesticide, or a contaminant, or a nutrient, etc.</p>

<p>Importantly, if I were to turn up the amplification of the detector, the “background noise” at the bottom of the screen would vertically expand to fill the screen. The entire screen would be a “hit” on every mass, because the amplification is turned way up. That’s the equivalent to what PCR instruments are doing when they run 30+ cycles. They are <strong>amplifying noise</strong>, and then pretending they got a “hit” on covid.</p>
<p>But because they’ve amplified it so many times, they’ve obliterated any ability to say with certainty what they have, or even how much they have. Because the LOD (Limit of Detection) is <strong>scientifically invalid if it can’t pick a peak out of the background noise</strong>.</p>
<p>Typically in method validation, your LOD needs to be <strong>at least three times higher than background noise</strong>, which means a “peak” must be three times higher than the background. Anything less than that is considered bogus background noise. And when you’re doing quantitative work, you typically need a signal that’s at least 10 times higher than background.</p>
<p>Yet PCR instruments are taking background noise and amplifying it until they get a “positive” hit. This “positive” is then absurdly called a “covid case,” even though it means literally nothing from a legitimate science point of view.</p>
<p>The entire process being used today via PCR is <strong>complete junk science</strong> that wouldn’t pass even the most basic science lab audit. That’s why most of these PCR outfits aren’t ISO accredited, by the way. They couldn’t pass a single audit. (My lab is ISO accredited with an annual audit, including blind quantitation accuracy tests via mass spec instruments to make sure we are hitting our accuracy targets.)</p>
<h2>Dr. Judy Mikovitz confirms it all in a recent interview</h2>
<p>Dr. Judy Mikovitz, author of <em>Ending Plague</em> (<a href="http://plaguethebook.com/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">PlagueTheBook.com</a>), confirmed all this in a recent interview with me. Not only did she confirm that there is no isolated covid-19 virus that has been harvested and purified from a sick person and proven to cause disease in another person; she also confirmed that <strong>Dr. Fauci specifically chose a weaponized lab sample that was infected with a cocktail of coronaviruses</strong> to use as a basis for gain-of-function research via the Wuhan Institute of Virology.</p>
<p>In other words, <strong>Dr. Fauci knew he was building a Frankensteinian viral stew</strong> that the fraudulent CDC and complicit scientific community would simply label “covid.” Augmented by mass media hysteria, they could drive most of the population into submitting to vaccines which were engineered to inoculate the population with <strong>spike protein bioweapons</strong>, also developed under Fauci’s guidance and funding directives.</p>
<p>Thus, the real story here is that <strong>Fauci and the CDC used common coronaviruses to fake the covid pandemic in order to inject people with a real bioweapon: The augmented spike protein</strong>.</p>
<p>Importantly, Dr. Mikovitz confirms this all originated under the United States military, which means both the U.S. and Chinese military institutions were involved in the development and deployment of this global depopulation bioweapon (the spike protein):</p>
<h2>Dr. Jane Ruby offers an outstanding explanation of the covid hoax on a recent Stew Peters broadcast</h2>
<p>In yet another damning video, Dr. Jane Ruby, a contributor to Stew Peters’ broadcast (<a href="http://stewpeters.tv/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">StewPeters.TV</a>) further confirms this entire story, revealing that the covid-19 virus has never been isolated, purified and shown to cause covid illness. The <em>plandemic</em> has been faked:</p>
<h2>CDC FOIA documents reveal no “covid-19” isolated virus in existence</h2>
<p>Finally, new FOIA documents have surfaced, revealing the CDC has never isolated any covid-19 virus. A Canadian named Christine Massey has reportedly filed multiple FOIA requests with the CDC, requesting the following via the Freedom of Information Act:</p>
<p><em>All studies and/or reports in the possession, custody or control of the CDC and/or the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) describing the purification of any “COVID-19″ virus (including B.1.1.7”, “B.1.351”, “P.1” and any other “variant”) (via maceration, filtration and use of an ultracentrifuge; also referred to at times by some people as “isolation”), directly from a sample taken from a diseased human, where the patient sample was not first combined with any other source of genetic material (i.e. monkey kidney cells aka Vero cells; fetal bovine serum).</em></p>
<p>In a response letter dated June 7th, 2021, the CDC responded:</p>
<p><em>A search of our records failed to reveal any documents pertaining to your request. Specifically, the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease apprises that CDC does not purify or isolate any COVID-19 virus in the manner the requestor describes.</em></p>
<p>The FOIA request is identified as <strong>#21-01075-FOIA</strong>.</p>
<p>In other words, <strong>the CDC has never isolated and purified any covid-19 virus</strong>, period.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.drrobertyoung.com/post/cdc-now-admits-no-gold-standard-for-the-isolation-for-any-virus">The website of Dr. Robert O. Young</a> reveals additional documents showing that the CDC has never isolated and purified the HPV virus, the Measles virus, the MERS virus, the Zika virus or the Polio virus, among others.</p>

<p>On July 21st of this year, <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/07-21-2021-lab-alert-Changes_CDC_RT-PCR_SARS-CoV-2_Testing_1.html">the CDC announced it is withdrawing its authorization of the current PCR test for covid-19</a>, saying the PCR test would no longer be considered valid science after December 31st of this year. It then states that a new PCR test will, “facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses,” meaning the <em>new</em> test will reportedly be able to tell the difference between covid and the common cold. This implies that the current test — the one used to push global covid pandemic hysteria — does <em>not</em> achieve such a differentiation.</p>
<p>In effect, it appears <strong>the CDC has been fabricating the science behind global “pandemics” for decades</strong>, using the media to spread mass hysteria where no pandemic existed. One of the best and most recent cases is the recent Zika virus, where mainstream media outlets were screaming that babies born to new mothers in Florida would be born with shrunken heads (microcephaly) because of the Zika virus. Just as with the covid scheme, <a href="https://www.naturalnews.com/055671_zika_virus_hoax_vaccine_funding.html">billions of dollars were funneled into pharmaceutical companies to research a vaccine for Zika</a>, which turned out to be nothing more than fictional hype.</p>
<h2>CDC director Walensky admits the covid vaccine does not prevent covid infection or Delta variant transmission</h2>
<p>Adding to the unraveling of this covid-19 vaccine hoax, the Director of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, just admitted something astonishing on CNN: <strong>Covid-19 vaccines do NOT prevent covid-19 infections</strong>. They also do not stop people from transmitting the “Delta variant” of what the CDC calls the covid virus.</p>
<p>In effect, Walensky just admitted that vaccine passports are pointless and prove nothing. If someone who is “fully vaccinated” can still catch and transmit covid, then a vaccine passport is nothing more than <strong>proof of obedience, not proof of immunisation</strong>.</p>
<p>Here’s Dr. Walensky saying all this on CNN, an no this isn’t a “deep fake” video. It’s an open admission:</p>
<h2>The covid-19 virus is a hoax, but the weaponized spike protein is very real and quite deadly</h2>
<p>While the covid-19 virus appears to be nothing more than renamed cold viruses or common monkey viruses, the spike protein toxic nanoparticle — now being injected via vaccines — is a deadly biological weapon initiated in the USA, then augmented in Wuhan using U.S. taxpayer dollars.</p>
<p>It now seems obvious that <strong>the entire purpose of the covid hysteria was to herd people into accepting spike protein injections</strong> which are intentionally mislabeled “vaccines.” These spike proteins, from which the covid vax is now called the “clot shot,” cause blood clots, neurological injury, strokes, heart attacks, spontaneous abortions and universal vascular damage, <a href="https://www.salk.edu/news-release/the-novel-coronavirus-spike-protein-plays-additional-key-role-in-illness/">even according to the mainstream Salk Institute</a>. From their article on the spike protein and its damaging effects on the human cardiovascular system:</p>
<p><em>Now, a major new study shows that the virus spike proteins (which behave very differently than those safely encoded by vaccines) also play a key role in the disease itself.</em></p>
<p><em>…[T]he paper provides clear confirmation and a detailed explanation of the mechanism through which the protein damages vascular cells for the first time. There’s been a growing consensus that SARS-CoV-2 affects the vascular system, but exactly how it did so was not understood. Similarly, scientists studying other coronaviruses have long suspected that the spike protein contributed to damaging vascular endothelial cells, but this is the first time the process has been documented.</em></p>
<p><em>In the new study, the researchers created a “pseudovirus” that was surrounded by SARS-CoV-2 classic crown of spike proteins, but did not contain any actual virus. Exposure to this pseudovirus resulted in damage to the lungs and arteries of an animal model—proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease. Tissue samples showed inflammation in endothelial cells lining the pulmonary artery walls.</em></p>
<p>The spike protein was developed as a bioweapon <strong>in order to cause widespread symptoms that can then be falsely labeled “covid” </strong>and then cited to push even more vaccine injections containing more spike protein bioweapons. The covid-19 “virus” is just a cocktail stew of monkey viruses and cold viruses, while the spike protein — which is what the vaccines contain as the antigen target — carries out the vascular damage, infertility damage, immune system damage, etc.</p>
<p>What’s the whole point in all this? Depopulation, of course.</p>
<h2>It’s all a depopulation weapon to achieve the mass extermination of the human race</h2>
<p>The spike protein is a depopulation weapon. The “vaccine” is a Soylent Green-style extermination / suicide shot that has been repackaged as “medicine.” The “pandemic” was media hysteria whipped up to create panic and widespread demand for the vaccine so that people wouldn’t resist the extermination shots.</p>
<p>And that means <strong>many who have taken the shot will soon be dead</strong> because the entire point of this faked plandemic has been to rid the world of billions of human beings.</p>
<p>That also means <strong>every person going along with this is complicit in genocidal murder and crimes against humanity</strong>. That includes the journalists, the scientists, the doctors, the governors, the FDA / CDC / WHO officials, and even local pharmacists and nurses who are administering these kill shots into men, women, children and even the elderly. Their crimes against humanity make the Holocaust of World War II look like child’s play in comparison. The covid <strong>vaccine holocaust</strong> may mass murder <em>billions</em> of human beings before the criminals are stopped.</p>
<p>In essence, you are witnessing a global mass extermination campaign disguised as a public health response to a pandemic.</p>
<p>This is the most sinister and diabolical “science” scam ever perpetrated in the history of known civilization. It is, by any honest measure, a globalist attempt to achieve homo sapiens <em>extinction</em>, a kind of “planetary-scale ethnic cleansing” to rid the world of humans and make way for whatever insane scenario they hope will follow.</p>
<p>It is time for all human beings who wish to preserve the human race to peacefully rise up and <strong>resist this genocidal extermination attempt</strong> against humanity.</p>

<p><em>President Biden — we will not accept your agencies’ mandates or your reported moves toward a lockdown,” said Paul. “No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates.</em></p>
<p><em>…[W]e will not allow you to do more harm to our children again this year.</em></p>
<p>We’ve all been hoodwinked, folks. This entire thing has nothing to do with public health, saving lives or halting any pandemic. This is elaborate, coordinated theatre to corral people into committing suicide via bioweapons injections so that globalists can remove a few billion people from the planet while they advance their tyranny and authoritarian control over the survivors.</p>
<p>It may also be cover for their planned financial reset, which will collapse the world’s fiat currencies, destroy all currency assets of the sheeple, and consolidate ownership of everything in the hands of the globalist elite.</p>
<p>This is why governments of the world are now holding their own citizens hostage, demanding vaccine quotas be met in order to unlock limited “freedom” that will of course be completely revoked once the next “variant” is identified.</p>

Doctors in the US have been told they will lose their license if they say anything negative about the Covid-19 injections

<p><strong>When doctors receive their medical license, they must pronounce their intellectual devotion and allegiance to the vaccine industry and its myriad of false narratives. Any healthcare professional who dares question “the science” risks losing their medical license. Any doctor who speaks out-of-line against forceful vaccine propaganda could be stripped of their title; their career destroyed; their reputation smeared.</strong></p>
<p>On July 29th, 2021, the <span><a href="https://www.fsmb.org/advocacy/news-releases/fsmb-spreading-covid-19-vaccine-misinformation-may-put-medical-license-at-risk/">Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) in the US warned all healthcare professionals that they could lose their medical license</a></span> if they create or spread what is deemed to be Covid-19 vaccine “misinformation”.</p>
<p>The FSMB represents every medical board across the United States and will now use their authority to gag doctors and control their practice. When the organisation spots what it deems to be “Covid-19 vaccine misinformation” in interviews, medical literature, recorded discussions or social media posts, they will punish the doctor and refer them for disciplinary action with their respective state medical board.</p>

<p>If a doctor divulges the risks of the vaccines, and the benefits of natural immunity, he could be targeted by the FSMB. If a doctor provides informed consent, immune system solutions  or treatment paths, his medical license could be suspended or revoked.</p>
<p>Doctors will no longer be allowed to say anything that could “sow distrust” about the Covid-19 injections, and they won’t be allowed to collect their own data, share information with other doctors, make observations, or draw their own conclusions. They will also no longer be allowed to speak out in interviews with the media, unless the interview promotes vaccines.</p>
<p>Doctors will no longer be allowed to speak about the medical issues caused by the vaccines, and will inevitably file fewer vaccine injury reports. The US reporting system has been flooded with vaccine injury reports in 2021, with hundreds of thousands of serious injuries and tens of thousands of wrongful death reports due to the experimental Covid-19 injections.</p>
<p>Healthcare professionals will no longer be allowed to speak up on social media, in their private medical practice, or on their own personal website. Even Dr. Joseph Mercola, has submitted to the threat and stated he will remove 25 years of research from his website, and delete any new work within 48 hours.</p>

<p>The FSMB asserts that physicians who generate and spread Covid-19 vaccine misinformation or disinformation are risking disciplinary action by state medical boards, including the suspension or revocation of their medical license.</p>
<p>“Due to their specialised knowledge and training, licensed physicians possess a high degree of public trust and therefore have a powerful platform in society, whether they recognise it or not.”</p>
<p>“They also have an ethical and professional responsibility to practice medicine in the best interests of their patients and must share information that is factual, scientifically grounded and consensus-driven for the betterment of public health.”</p>
<p>The FSMB is now just another enforcement arm of the vaccine industry, controlling the speech of doctors and determining what the facts are. In this way, the vaccine industry treats doctors as unintelligible puppets who must spout out fraudulent narratives about immunity and health.</p>
<p>This subservience to the vaccine industry is exacerbated by a federal government that claims “Covid-19 vaccine misinformation is killing people.” The federal government has now admitted that they and the Surgeon General work with social media platforms to eliminate information that contradicts the narrative they are attempting to push.</p>
<p>In truth, health care professionals are being threatened to abandon their conscience and their medical ethics. Basic medical principles such as informed consent are now considered “Covid-19 vaccine misinformation”, if that information leads a patient to decide that a vaccine is not right for them.</p>
<p>The FSMB is now violating the Nuremberg Code, disregarding the science of natural immunity and using censorship to coerce and intimidate countless people to comply with what has become a medical tyranny.</p>

UK Government Warns Youth: No Clubbing or Travelling Unless They Get Vaccinated

<p><strong>The UK government has warned young people in the country that they will “miss out” on clubbing and travelling if they do not get the Covid-19 vaccine. The government’s new campaign targeting young people launched on August 6th, featuring messages such as “Don’t Miss Out” and “Get Your Shot.”</strong></p>
<p>The new campaign targeting young adults, with a particular focus on university students and club-goers, was introduced by British ministers to increase pressure on the youth to encourage them to get vaccinated. Social media channels will be flooded with coercive messages encouraging younger people to get the jab, focusing on what they will likely miss out on if they don’t.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, over the weekend the Heaven nightclub in London hosted a pop-up vaccination centre on August 8th to jab club-goers in order to boost vaccination rates.</p>
<p>The campaign also featured a Q&A film starring “influencer” DJ Bodalia, a doctor who founded NHS Sessions whereby he plays DJ sets in uniform. The Birmingham doctor – born Kisham Bodalia – talked about the importance of getting the jab in the movie.</p>
<p>Bodalia said: “I want everyone to enjoy themselves as safely as possible, now that clubs and music events are back.”</p>
<p>Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced last month that from September proof of vaccination will be required for entry into nightclubs and other large-scale events. This controversial move was faced with backlash from over 40 Tory MPs who voted against the measure, comparing the tyrannical rule to medical fascism and discrimination.</p>
<p>The measure, which is still set to come into force next month, has caused uproar amongst many nightclub owners who fear the measures will have a devastating impact on the clubbing industry as people will choose to host house parties instead. Despite this, Lohan Presencer, chairman of the Ministry of Sound nightclub, urged young adults to get vaccinated: “People just need to get … [COVID-19 vaccine doses] so we can all keep dancing together safely.”</p>
<p>Events and music industry groups, such as the Safer Sounds Partnership and Live music Industry Venues and Entertainment, also echoed Presencer’s calls.</p>
<p>Vaccine minister Nadhim Zahawi said: “Getting both doses of a vaccine will be vital come September for students and people wanting to enjoy the country’s nightlife.” He called on Britons to “secure…protection and freedom for themselves” through the Covid-19 jab.</p>
<p>Health Secretary Sajid Javid said: “It’s remarkable to see different sectors step up to help and get the country vaccinated, and my thanks go to the Ministry of Sound, Heaven and Bodalia among others. Having a vaccine is one of the most important things you will ever be asked to do.”</p>
<p>This campaign comes as the UK government mount pressure on young people to get jabbed, as another campaign to coerce youths was recently implemented whereby young people could get <a href="https://dailyexpose.co.uk/2021/08/03/uk-government-bribing-young-people-to-get-covid-vaccine-through-free-pizza-and-taxi-rides/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">free food and free taxi trips if they provided proof of vaccination</a>.</p>
<p><strong>British ministers hope these bribes will encourage more young people to roll up their sleeves and submit to experimental gene therapy without questioning the health risks.</strong></p>

<p>My greatest desire as a toddler was to own a play kitchen, complete with miniature appliances, utensils, and plastic food. All my neighborhood playmates had one. The kitchens were everywhere, according to my mother: displayed in toy catalogs and television commercials, in day care centers, and in the homes of family friends.</p>
<p>It was, in hindsight, one of my very first consumerist desires, a toy that sought to instill ideals of domesticity in young girls. That didn’t matter to my parents, or to 3-year-old me. I was learning to want things: snacks, games, and gadgets that were strategically dangled in front of my barely formed child brain, even if my parents held all the buying power. This parent-child dynamic — in which the child ceaselessly annoys their caretaker to receive a desired object — likely won’t ever change.</p>
<p>Americans’ consumption patterns have changed, though, especially over the past decade. The next generation of consumers, dubbed <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2020/02/generation-after-gen-z-named-alpha/606862/">Generation Alpha</a> by demographers, is being born at the height of American excess. They will grow up in a world oversaturated with <a href="https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2020/4/2/21203128/dtc-home-brands-marketing-sales-emails">direct-to-consumer brands</a> attempting to “disrupt” every sector imaginable, one where <a href="https://www.vox.com/the-goods/22412098/social-commerce-explainer">social media is shoppable</a> and <a href="https://www.vox.com/recode/2020/4/10/21215953/amazon-fresh-walmart-grocery-delivery-coronavirus-retail-store-closures">Amazon is ubiquitous</a>. Today’s parents are <a href="https://blog.fieldagent.net/1500-parents-surveyed-about-shopping-for-kids-during-coronavirus-pandemic">less likely</a> to scour the aisles of their local Target or Toys “R” Us when the internet’s boundless array of online products can be delivered to their doors with just a few clicks.</p>
<p>The unique consumer identity of the toddlers and babies of Generation Alpha — a term used to describe those born between 2010 and 2025 — is currently being developed for them. It will be shaped through the toys, baby food, clothes, and toddler gadgets purchased by their parents and relatives. A real-time example of this phenomenon is Ryan Kaji, the 9-year-old star of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChGJGhZ9SOOHvBB0Y4DOO_w">Ryan’s World</a>, one of the most lucrative YouTube channels on the platform. For now, though, most kids are too young and offline to be drawn into social media’s marketing schema. Brands, instead, are turning to parents to wean the next generation of consumers.</p>
<p>“There’s a subset of young, millennial moms who are invested in buying the best products they can afford for their kids,” said Heather Dretsch, an assistant professor of marketing at North Carolina State University. “As a result, the next generation of kids are going to have very similar tastes to that of their millennial parents when it comes to brands, unlike Gen Z.”</p>
<p>Both new and traditional kid-focused brands have, for the most part, abandoned the kitschy, rainbow-colored packaging used in the ‘90s and early aughts. Think of the commercials for Fruit Gushers candy and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBAIpMpSGrc">Kid Cuisine</a> microwavable meals. Instead, they’ve defaulted to the <a href="https://www.thecut.com/2020/03/will-the-millennial-aesthetic-ever-end.html">minimalist aesthetic</a> familiar to any millennial-aged shopper, with serif fonts and cohesive pastel color schemes that subtly inform the consumer that this brand is ethical, economical, and safe for their child. “You can tell Gen Alpha are kids of millennials because their snacks are filled with these labels,” <a href="https://twitter.com/iiiitsandrea/status/1421168662078177285">tweeted</a> Andrea Hernández, a food and beverage trend analyst. “Paleo, keto, probiotic, low carb, low sugar, plant based.”</p>
<p>For parents, the bevy of available brands can be overwhelming. “There’s a lot of pressure not knowing what your kid needs now and what they need next,” said Julie Rogers, the co-founder of the baby shoe brand Ten Little. “Parents are always wondering how they can buy things kids can grow into instead of something that lasts only a few minutes.”</p>
<p>Parenthood, then, is as much a state of being as a shoppable identity. Now that baby- and child-related products are less ugly and utilitarian, it’s easier than ever for parents to express their individual style and, by extension, cultivate their child’s taste. It’s similar to the marketing notion of a “<a href="https://www.investopedia.com/terms/t/trickle-down-effect.asp">trickle-down effect</a>,” which refers to how upper-class fashion trends influence working-class styles. This is only the first chapter of Gen Alpha’s consumerist future. They certainly aren’t the first cohort of kids to be targeted by mass media (<a href="https://www.awn.com/animationworld/dr-toon-when-reagan-met-optimus-prime">marketing deregulation</a> in the 1980s led to an onslaught of loosely disguised children’s advertisements). They will be, however, the first to inhabit a world of bountiful digital-first brands, brands that have had eyes on them at an extremely young age.</p>
<p>Sara Petersen has noticed a dramatic shift in her buying impulses between her first child, who was born in 2012, and her youngest in 2019. “It felt like everyone was buying the same stuff back in 2012, the same playmats and plastic highchairs that were ugly, chunky, and only sold in primary colors,” said Petersen, who is working on a book about digital culture and motherhood. “Now, in part thanks to Instagram, there’s an aesthetic shift toward natural wood tones, creams, and neutral pastel shades.”</p>
<p>Mothers have always been a key marketing demographic, she added. But in the past, it was a category that felt “identity-killing.” Even progressive, working women felt they had to conform toward a general mold of motherhood. “Everyone bought the same ugly shit, and in some ways, you felt better and worse about it,” Petersen said. “Our consumer identity was flattened into one broad, unexciting group, and there were few brands that prioritized your individual needs, that specifically catered to you.”</p>

<p>The era of mommy blogs in the 2000s precipitated the <a href="https://www.vox.com/the-goods/22368693/mom-boss-capitalism-scary-mommy">mom-as-influencer industrial complex</a>, but it was predicated around a similar idea: that one’s domestic struggles can be solved and made better by an endless array of products. The prevailing stereotype of the millennial parent is of a health-conscious caretaker, wary of processed foods, and the potential of unnatural chemicals and toxins present in their child’s food or toys. They want the <a href="https://www.vox.com/2018/12/11/18134598/best-of-everything">best of everything</a> for their kids. It’s an idea rooted in a materialist and classist assumptions of what “good” parenting looks like.</p>
<p>“Parenting as an industry, if you can even call it that, is very old and hasn’t changed in nearly a century,” said Lisa Barnett, co-founder of Little Spoon, a direct-to-consumer baby and children’s meal brand. “Every service, every product hasn’t really changed. We recognize that there’s a new generation entering the life stage of being a parent.”</p>
<p>It made little sense, then, that baby food brands and kiddie snacks were designed with the child in mind, rather than the parent. “It’s ironic because, at least for us, the baby doesn’t internalize what the packaging looks like,” Barnett added. “We’re trying to attract the parents, thinking about what they want to look for.”</p>
<p>Legacy food brands like Gerber and Beech-Nut are playing catch-up to new, online-only companies like Little Spoon. They’ve altered their packaging and offered organic options, but that won’t be enough to stem the expansion of DTC, kid-focused companies. The parenting industry — or the “<a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/tanyaklich/2019/05/10/the-new-mom-economy-meet-the-startups-disrupting-the-46-billion-millennial-parenting-market/?sh=6130a7545130">mom economy</a>” — has moved largely online during the pandemic. Consumers are not only accustomed to buying clothes, household items, and toys online; parents are seeking out technology and products that are convenient and transparent.</p>
<p>“So much of the power of shopping from mommy Instagram lies in the really impossible state of motherhood in the US, especially during the pandemic,” Petersen added. “It makes you feel better about the state of everything, even while American society has failed to provide policies that could make mothers’ lives better, like free preschool or universal paid leave.”</p>
<p>Granted, most brands aren’t trying to pose as a solution or a substitution for America’s inadequate child care policies. Their aim is to support a modern vision of parenthood, one where both parents are likely working and juggling child care tasks. It just so happens that, in this pursuit, brands and parents are subtly shaping the tastes and imagined lifestyles of their little ones. The long-term effects of coming of age in a terrazzo-filled home with wooden toys, of course, remain to be seen.</p>
<p>So, why are advertisers so keen on millennial parents and their Gen Alpha toddlers in the first place? “Starting from the turn of the century, we began to realize that millennials would wield the greatest consumer power in the world, compared to all other age groups,” said Dretsch. While market research further broke down the millennial demographic into subcategories, the broad delineation stuck and became widely used.</p>
<p>Generational labels became a vague nod to a type of lifestyle or ideology held by a group of similarly aged people, often as expressed on social media. During the advent of the BuzzFeed internet in the 2010s, millennial-dom morphed into an <a href="https://www.buzzfeed.com/tag/generation">online identity</a>. Eventually, it all compounded into a sort of <a href="https://www.buzzfeed.com/tag/generation">generational lore</a> that was privy to stereotypes: <a href="https://www.vox.com/2019/11/19/20963757/what-is-ok-boomer-meme-about-meaning-gen-z-millennials">Baby boomers</a> are wealthy and unempathetic toward the financial plight of young people; Gen Z is obsessed with broadcasting their “<a href="https://www.newyorker.com/culture/infinite-scroll/we-all-have-main-character-energy-now">main character”</a> lives on TikTok; millennials were associated with, among many signifiers, avocado toast, student loans, Harry Potter, liberalism, and jaded youthfulness.</p>
<p>Thus, age became an inexact metric for commonality while glossing over nuances of race, class, geography, and religion that also define an individual’s tastes. Regardless, the raging generational wars are a fruitful development for advertisers, who championed demographic labels in an effort to appeal to specific swaths of consumers. The ability to concretely define, and thereby appeal to, a certain group is coveted knowledge, at least in the marketing world.</p>
<p>In an interview with Mark McCrindle, the Australian consultant who’s credited with the term “Generation Alpha,” the New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/19/fashion/meet-alpha-the-next-next-generation.html?_r=1">described</a> generations as “less of a collection of individuals than a commodity: to be processed into a manufactured unit, marketed and sold to clients.” Defining the next generation (which includes the unborn) in the era of not-so-subtle targeted ads, in which age range is a key factor, is “like staking claim in a gold rush.”</p>
<p>Yet the characteristics of Gen Alpha remain largely unknown. They are too young and their pre-adolescent life too varied to conduct concrete research. McCrindle argued that data on Gen Alpha’s parents, the millennials, can forecast how these children will be raised. That premise, however, was challenged in a <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/publication/316326529_Generation_Alpha_Marketing_or_Science">2017 paper</a> “Generation Alpha: Marketing or Science” by two Hungarian researchers, who concluded that there was not yet any evidence of a post-Gen Z group.</p>
<p>“By definition, an age group will become a generation if they have common experiences, concepts, and language or vocabulary that differs from the previous generations,” one researcher <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/marketing-generation-alpha/">told Wired</a>. “We still have no representative data on the characteristics of ‘alphas,’ only speculations about what their common, cohesive force might be.”</p>
<p>Even so, population researchers have admitted that age delineations are <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/04/01/your-generational-identity-is-a-lie/">somewhat arbitrary</a>; they prefer to group people into cohorts rather than fixed generations, based on major life events like marriage and family formation. While none of us can accurately predict the defining characteristics of Gen Alpha, marketers and brands are embarking on a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts.</p>
<p>According to Dretsch, the marketing professor, children are capable of developing brand associations as young as 3 years old. “Whatever the parents expose the child to, the more often they will come to identify with that brand even from a very young age,” she told me. “Those connections happen very naturally and almost non-consciously.”</p>
