One of the victims is in critical condition while the other received non-deadly injuries. According to <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/arrested-north-carolina-christmas-parade-shooting-44002861">one report:</a></p><blockquote><p>Police say one person has been arrested in a shooting that happened during a Christmasparade in central North Carolina.</p><p>Sanford Police Sgt. Vincent Frazier tells local news outlets that 20-year-old Deion Jamille Johns was arrested Monday and charged with several crimes including attempted murder.</p><p>Authorities say two people were hurt in the shooting that happened Monday night around 8 p.m. at Sanford's annual Christmas parade. Police say one person is in serious condition, while the other person's injury is not life threatening.</p><p>Johns was being held in the Lee County jail on a $360,000 secured bond with a first court appearance scheduled for Tuesday. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.</p></blockquote><p>Another report, more detailed, <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://abc11.com/news/sanford-christmas-parade-cut-short-after-2-people-shot/1641355/">says</a>:</p><blockquote><p>Sanford's Christmas Parade, one of the oldest in the area, was marred Monday night by gun violence that left two people injured and sent parade-goers scrambling for safety.</p><p>Early Tuesday morning, police confirmed that two teenagers were shot.</p><p>Sanford police officers who were working the annual Christmas Parade heard several gunshots near the 100 block of South Gulf Street. Officers saw a man firing a handgun at another man.</p><p>Officers chased the suspect north on Gulf Street and after a brief foot chase, the suspect was taken into custody, said Sanford Police Capt. Harold Layton.</p><p>The victim, identified as Sean Dimitrius Matthews, 18 of Sanford, was found suffering from several gunshot wounds to his lower abdomen area, arms and leg. He was taken to CCH ER and later flown to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill for further treatment.</p><p>Matthews was listed in critical condition.</p><p>Another victim was struck once by gunfire in his arm. Jadakis Tysor, 16 of Sanford, was taken to CCH ER in a personal vehicle and treated for his injury.</p><p>Police charged Deion Jamille Johns, 20, of the 1500 block of Westover Drive in Sanford with one count of attempted murder and one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Johns was also charged with three misdemeanors which included discharging a firearm within city limits, possession of a weapon at a parade and going armed to the terror of the people.</p></blockquote>

Their motive can be money, we would not be surprised if it turned out to be so. They may also be politically driven; the activities of the Malta-based organisation, MOAS, by trafficking people to Italy is the best guarantee that migrants will not show up on the Maltese shore. MOAS is managed by an Maltese Marine officer well known in Malta for his maltreatment of refugees 1). It is also possible that these organisations are managed by naive “do-gooders” who do not understand that offering their services they are acting like a magnet to the people from Africa and thus they are willy-nilly causing more fatalities, not to mention that their actions are destabilizing Europe.</p><p>How high-minded the intentions of these organisations might be, their actions are criminal as most of these migrants are not eligible for being granted asylum and will end up on the streets of Rome or Paris and undermine Europe stability raising racially motivated social tensions.</p><p>Brussels has created particular legislature to protect people traffickers against prosecution. In a dedicated section of an EU resolution entitled On Search and Rescue, the text states that “private ship masters and non-governmental organisations who assist in sea rescues in the Mediterranean Sea should not risk punishment for providing such assistance.”2)</p><p>During the two months of our observation, we have monitored at least 39,000 Africans illegally smuggled into Italy, which was done with the full consent of the Italian and European authorities. It doesn't excuse responsibility for one's actions, but the degree of culpability is different because of what is in most of these cases a lack of understanding or the inability to connect cause and effect, and this can be further mitigated by the individual's intentions. It is something completely different when a man, knowing what is right and wrong and being fully aware of the consequences that will happen and still he yet chooses to do wrong simply because he can earn personal gain at the expense of another is criminality of the worst order. Archeologists Discover Ancient Cross Belonging To Crusader Warrior Inside The Tomb Of Jesus Christ

<p>Archeologists discovered an ancient Cross belonging to a Crusader warrior from the 13th century. As we read in <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.christianpost.com/news/jesus-tomb-discovery-researchers-find-ancient-crusaders-cross-where-christ-was-buried-171916/">one report:</a></p><blockquote><p>Researchers have announced new revelations in their ongoing restoration of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, believed to be the tomb where Jesus Christ was buried before His resurrection, and have discovered an engraved cross believed to have been left by 12^th century crusaders.</p><p>The Mirror reports that workers at the famous church, which has been rebuilt and destroyed numerous times throughout the centuries, have lifted the tomb's marble lid for the first time in 500 years. Previously, they discovered the limestone shelf where Jesus's body is believed to have been placed after His crucifixion.</p><p>Now, they have also found a second gray marble slab they did not know about before, which is reportedly engraved with a cross carved by 12^th century crusaders.</p><p>"The most amazing thing for me was when we removed the first layer of dust and found a second piece of marble," said Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, a partner in the restoration project.</p><p>"This one was grey, not creamy white like the exterior, and right in the middle of it was a beautifully inscribed cross. We had no idea that was there," he added.</p><p>Hiebert said getting the Greek Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Armenian Orthodox Church leaders responsible for the tomb to agree to open it for repairs was a difficult task, but he was very glad when the communities came to an agreement, allowing the project to go ahead.</p><p>"Everything has to be approved by the committee, so even changing a candle takes a long time," the researcher revealed.</p><p>"There is a ladder by the main entrance to the church that hasn't moved in 240 years and they still haven't reached a decision. It's called the immovable ladder," he added.</p><p>"So the fact we were finally allowed to carry out this work is a triumph of negotiation."</p><p>The archaeologists are using radar and thermographic scanners to gather information from the insides of the tomb before unsealing it, but have warned that the data is so extensive that it will take months to analyze.</p><p>The MailOnline shared dozens of new images last week of the $3.7 million restoration project, which is expected to continue into spring 2017.</p><p>Part of the project will also seek further evidence to support the claim that the tomb is indeed the location where Jesus was buried.</p></blockquote><p>What a sublime moment, what a beautiful thing to behold! Now with the Muslim invasion of the West in full operation, ISIS is planning car bombs, kidnappings, and extortion in a summer of hell for Europe and, inevitably, the US:</p><blockquote><p>The Europol police agency has issued a new report alerting EU citizens to the threats posed by Islamic State militants who are plotting attacks in Europe, and could use tactics such as car bombs, kidnappings and extortion.</p><p>"The last two years have seen a number of jihadist attacks, several of which have caused mass casualties. The scale of this threat has been widely acknowledged in Europe, triggering an intensified cooperation between police and security services across the continent leading to an increase of arrests and plots foiled before terror attacks could be carried out," Europol's Director Rob Wainwright said in a statement released on Friday.</p><p>He added that cooperation and exchange of data between Europe's relevant services is vital when it comes to mitigating the threats posed by the Islamic radicals.</p><p>Europol listed a series of key points about the IS threat in Europe, and warned that potential attacks might come both by lone actors and from groups. It added that all EU member states that assist the U.S.-led coalition against IS in Iraq and Syria could be targeted, and said the terrorists might use car bombs, extortion and kidnappings.</p><p>The report noted that IS isn't specifically interested in targeting infrastructure, such as power grids and nuclear facilities, but in attacking "soft targets" where security is not very high.</p><p>What is more, Europol alerted citizens to the fact that IS isn't the only terror group with the intent and ability to attack nations in the West, and said that al-Qaeda and al-Nusra affiliated or inspired groups and individuals are also a threat.</p><p>"We have to be vigilant, since the threat posed by the so-called Islamic State and returning foreign fighters is likely to persist in the coming years. These people are trained to use explosives and firearms and they have been indoctrinated by the jihadist ideology," added Gilles de Kerchove, EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator.</p><p>"An effective response requires a comprehensive approach and long term commitment. Of course, the primary responsibility in the fight against terrorism lies with the member states. However, the EU and its agencies such as Europol can and should play a supportive role that helps respond to the cross-border nature of the threat."
