His action was capable of killing the boy,” one of the sources said.Our correspondent had reported that Francis chained his son, Korede, to the altar in the church for more than a month and starved him until he went into a coma in an attempt to cast out the supposed spirit that made the boy to steal.Korede was, however, rescued on Friday during a joint operation by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the police, after receiving a tip-off from residents of the area.Korede’s stepmother, Kehinde, had also been arrested for allegedly aiding the cruelty meted out to the boy.Korede, who said he aspired to be a doctor, had blamed his father for his stealing habit.“It is true that I stole a pot of soup and a bowl of eba in our house. I also stole in the neighbourhood. My father’s inability to give money to my stepmother for the upkeep of the family caused it. When I was chained, my father and stepmother fed me twice a day. Some days, I was not given any food. I want to go back to school because I want to be a doctor in the future. I do not want to go back to my father’s house,” Korede had said.Francis, a father of five who hails from Benin Republic, confessed to the act in his statement to the police, adding that Korede’s mother was late.</blockquote>

And why is Erdogan blaming the CIA and not Obama? Doesn't Obama know what the CIA is doing? Or is it that Obama is Erdogan's buddy?How they link all this is rather hilarious. They are saying that the retired US general had paid "at least two secret visits" to Turkey since May up to the attempted coup, which the Turkish authorities blamed on what they call the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETO).The Turkish daily also reported that Campbell had top secret meetings at the Erzurum military base and Incirlik air base in Turkey, adding that the US general "directed the process of trending / blacklisting the military officers in the base."The Turkish daily's conspiracy theory's narrative was set like this:<blockquote>"Millions of dollars of money has been transferred from Nigeria to Turkey by a group of CIA personnel. The money, which has been distributed to an 80-person special team of the CIA, was used to convince pro-coup generals. After taking money from their bank accounts, the CIA team hand-delivered it to the terrorists under the military dresses."</blockquote>And now Turkey’s foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu is threatening the U.S. and warned on Monday that ties with Washington could suffer unless they extradite the US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, Erdogan's ideological adversary.In other words, the message Turkey is sending is simple. They are threatening to use conspiracy theories to tell the U.S. that anti-U.S sentiments will grow in the Muslim world, unless the U.S. of course cow-tows to Erdogan's demands.But what about the real conspiracy. Turkey detained 2,101 judges and prosecutors and 1,485 police officers. How were these connected to the CIA? What about closing 934 schools, 109 dormitories, 15 universities, 104 foundations, 35 health institutions, 1,125 associations and 19 unions? Was the U.S. behind all this and was Fethullah Gulen too a CIA agent?Where are the billions paid by the CIA to Gulen? How then can Erdogan make such claims as:<blockquote>“The FETO terror group, who are abusing people’s tax money to purchase guns, tanks, warplanes, heavy weapons and use against the nation, are rascals, traitors and dishonest,” Erdogan said last week, branding FETO “a virus that has metastasized.”</blockquote>Gulen was buying fighter jets?Even <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2016/07/turkey-independent-monitors-must-be-allowed-to-access-detainees-amid-torture-allegations/" target="_blank">Amnesty International</a> sounded the alarm on Sunday, saying it gathered “credible evidence” that people arrested in relation to the failed coup attempt have been “subjected to beatings and torture, including rape, in official and unofficial detention centers in the country.”Amnesty International’s Europe director, John Dalhuisen stated:<blockquote>“Reports of abuse including beatings and rape in detention are extremely alarming, especially given the scale of detentions that we have seen in the past week. The grim details that we have documented are just a snapshot of the abuses that might be happening in places of detention”.</blockquote>This rape was by using batons. Just how close are we when Turkey resurrects its old Ottoman punishment, their <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci3MNWHX8oA">dreaded Khazouk</a>?Hard to believe? A Muslim woman in the Middle East was convinced that Allah is Satan. She rejected Islam and became a Christian. Her father-in-law took a knife and stabbed her to death, infuriated that she became a follower of Christ. The story comes from a missionary in the Middle East named Rachid, as we read in one report:</a><blockquote>A Christian man who was once brutalized by Muslims now devotes his life to sharing the Gospel with his persecutors, bringing thousands to Christ.</blockquote><div><blockquote>According to a report from Christian Aid Mission, the man, known as Brother Rachid, became a Christian at the age of 12 after hearing the gospel through a radio ministry, followed by four years of correspondence courses. Furious at their son for turning his back on the Muslim faith, Rachid's devout parents kicked him out of his home, leaving him homeless for two years.Eventually, Rachid was taken in by a missionary family. However, his troubles weren't over: the young man was forced to flee Morocco just a few years later after a radical Islamist infiltrated his house church, threatening his life.While he and his wife, who was pregnant with their first child, were safe once they settled in their adopted country, Rachid nevertheless felt Lord calling him to go back and minister to Muslims.One day, he opened the Book of Acts, and asked, 'Didn't these people preaching Christ also have families? If we don't do it, who's going to do it?'"Despite opposition from his family, who feared for his life, Rachid began a program on satellite TV in which Muslims and others call in to ask questions about Islam and Christianity. Through the broadcast, now aired for over a decade, thousands of Muslims came to Christ."Every Thursday at 9 p.m., people will call us up, some to curse us, some to give their lives to Christ - we're fishing for all kinds of fish," he said.Because of his personal experiences, Rachid is all too familiar with the opposition that converts face and is able to empathize with their plight. He told the outlet that relatives of those who leave Islam in the Middle East and North Africa, first try to bargain with them, offering or withdrawing things to persuade them to return to the fold.However, if such attempts do not work, ejection follows, sometimes violently. He recalled how, in one country in the region, the father-in-law of a Muslim woman who recently came to faith in Christ stabbed her to death after discovering her conversion through a text message she had sent. The father-in-law was convicted but sentenced to only a few months in prison because it was an "honor killing," Rachid said.</blockquote></div>This is the heresy of Islam, a satanic and insatiable desire for the blood of Christians. Islam was founded to destroy Christianity, and in the end, the war is not going to be between secularism and Islam, but between Christianity and Islam. This is why it is very important that we cultivate our minds to the militant spirit of Christianity, and not the fraudulent, dry and materialistic forms that are so prevalent today.
