The FBI has charged Infowars host Owen Shroyer over allegations related to the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
But video footage from that day shows Owen had actually tried to discourage lawbreaking from taking place during the march in Washington, D.C., along with Alex Jones himself.

Additionally, body cam footage shows Jones working with Capitol police to quell the growing unrest and calling on protesters – alongside Shroyer – to exercise their First Amendment right to protest peacefully and respectfully.
Jones laid out in detail the timeline of events that took place leading up to the Capitol protest on January 6, explaining how he and Owen, contrary to the false narrative that they organized the riots, actually tried to stop them.
The fact is that Shroyer never entered the Capitol building and never called upon patriots to do so, but he and Jones encouraged peaceful marching.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson even ridiculed the FBI for targeting Shroyer, suggesting he was only getting arrested for humiliating Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) during a censorship hearing in 2019.
“What did Owen Shroyer do? He didn’t go inside the Capitol building on January 6,” Carlson said Friday. “He stood on the Capitol steps with hundreds of other people. He didn’t even loot Macy’s like Black Lives Matter. He just stood there on the Capitol steps, a building he thought he owned as an American citizen.”
