You best be clean in four minutes, or else...
Who doesn’t love a warm, sudsy session in the shower? To wake up in the early morning or to relax after a hard day’s work, it’s easy to get lost in the rejuvenating stream of water… But as everyone knows by now, taking long showers is a very wasteful habit detrimental to the environment.
For this reason, inspired artist Elisabeth Buecher created a shower curtain that evicts you when you take too long getting clean. The London-based designer made a curtain covered in spikes that inflate when it’s time to go dry off, and calls it a “design for pain and for our own good.”

The ingenious spiky shower curtain is part of a line called “My Shower Curtain is a Green Warrior.” Each curtain has a feature that abruptly punishes the water waster for staying in too long.
Another design from the line is called “Trap,” and it inflates around the person showering after 4 minutes, trapping them in the shower. *shudder*
