<p>Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Saturday hailed a presidential election won by an ultraconservative as a victory for the nation over "enemy propaganda".</p>
<p>"The great winner of yesterday's elections is the Iranian nation because it has risen up once again in the face of the propaganda of the enemy's mercenary media," he said.</p>

<p>At this moment, someone somewhere is fleeing their homes due to internal strife, or persecution in a country, or water and climate crisis. These people who are forced to find shelter in a safer place, likely in a foreign land, are known as refugees. Sometimes, abandoned by their home country, these vulnerable people are made to spend their lives in temporary or community camps set up by civil society organization in the host country. To honour their resilience and courage in the face of extreme discrimination, the United Nations has designated a day, June 20, as a mark of respect.</p>
<p><b>What Is World Refugee Day And What Is Its Significance?</b></p>
<p>The day is observed around the globe to draw attention to the plight of refugees and mobilize political will and resources to urgently help these people rebuild their lives. This day is also important as it highlights the needs and dreams and rights of refugees. The United Nations General Assembly officially designated June 20 as World Refugee Day in December 2000 and it was held for the first time next year.</p>
<p><b>What Happens On This Day?</b></p>
<p>A number of events are organised across the world in support of refugees on June 20. These activities are largely led by refugees themselves and involve government officials, host communities, companies, celebrities, school children and the general public. Many of these events create opportunities to support refugees.</p>
<p>With the pandemic ravaging populations and families across the world for the second year, the UN Refugee Agency has <a href="https://www.unhcr.org/world-refugee-day.html">themed</a> the day, “Together we heal, learn and shine”. It has urged people and governments to help expand refugees' access to health care, to donate for educating talented young refugees, and to support refugees by other creative means such as organizing sports and art contests.</p>
<p>The 1951 UN Refugee Convention states that refugees are those who fled their countries and homes due to a “well-founded fear of persecution because of his/her nationality, race, religion, political opinion or membership of a particular social group”. According to <a href="https://www.unhcr.org/world-refugee-day.html">UNHCR</a>, 82.4 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced by the end of 2020 as a result of persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations or events seriously disturbing public order.</p>

<p>Two more Indo-Canadian politicians have been appointed as ministers in a Cabinet reshuffle in Canada's Ontario province, taking the representation of the community members in the Executive Council to three.</p>
<p>Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Friday reshuffled his Cabinet, with former finance minister Rod Phillips - who resigned from his post following a Caribbean vacation during the COVID-19 pandemic - returning as the new minister of long-term care.</p>
<p>The reshuffle comes just under a year before next June''s provincial election.</p>
<p>In the previous ministry, there was one Indo-Canadian - Prabhmeet Sarkariya, who was the associate minister of small business and red tape reduction.</p>
<p>Mr Sarkariya, 30, has now been promoted to take over as president of the Treasury Board.</p>
<p>He is the first turban-wearing Sikh Cabinet minister in Ontario.</p>
<p>"It is an honour to be sworn in as #Ontario''s President of the Treasury Board. I am dedicated to working hard with Premier @fordnation and my colleagues to support Ontarians as we continue to tackle the #COVID19 pandemic & work towards our recovery! ," Mr Sarkariya tweeted taking over the new role.</p>
<p>Mr Sarkaria's parents immigrated from Punjab, India in the 1980s.</p>
<p>Parm Gill, 47, took on the new portfolio of citizenship and multiculturalism.</p>
<p>Mr Gill was born in Moga, Punjab. He moved to Canada at a young age.</p>
<p>"Thank you Premier @fordnation for this great honour and thank you to my community of Milton for allowing me to represent you each and every day as part of this Provincial Government," he tweeted after his appointment.</p>
<p>"Who would have thought a young boy who immigrated from India to Canada at a young age, raised by a single mother, would today be sworn in as Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism for the Province of Ontario," Mr Gill added.</p>
<p>Nina Tangri was appointed associate minister of small business and red tape.</p>
<p>''Excited to be sworn in as the Associate Minister of Small Business & Red Tape Reduction. Thank you to Premier @fordnation for his confidence in me and to my family and staff for their continuous support," she tweeted.</p>

The United Nations designated the day to celebrate the strength and courage of people forced to flee their homes and countries to escape conflict or persecution. <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/world-refugee-day-2021-theme-and-importance-amid-covid-19-2466164" target="_self">World Refugee Day</a> is also a day to build empathy and understanding of their plight and to recognize their efforts in rebuilding their lives. The day recognises the rights, needs and dreams of refugees. </p>

<p><strong>1) Who is a refugee?</strong></p>
<p>A person forced to flee his or her country following persecution, war or violence is a refugee. According to the <a href="http://www.unrefugees.org/refugee-facts/" target="_blank">United Nations</a> people who fled their homes and countries due to "a well-founded fear of persecution because of his/her race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion" is a refugee.  </p>
<p><strong>2) What's the number of refugees worldwide?</strong></p>
<p>At the end of 2020, a mammoth 82.4 million remained forcibly displaced worldwide due to persecution, conflict, violence or human rights violations. According to the UN, the COVID-19 pandemic slowed the rate of displacement, and thus the number of people seeking asylum remains high. In 2020 alone, asylum-seekers submitted 1.1 million new claims, the <a href="https://www.unrefugees.org/refugee-facts/" target="_blank">UN</a> said. </p>
<p><strong>3) A refugee camp</strong></p>
<p>More than 6 million refugees live in camps worldwide, as per the <a href="https://www.unrefugees.org/refugee-facts/">United Nations</a> records. These camps are temporary facilities offering immediate protection and assistance to people forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution or violence. The camps are not a permanent solution, but they give shelter to refugees and help them meet their basic needs - such as food, water, shelter, medical treatment and other basic services in times of emergencies.</p>
<p><strong>4) Which country hosts the largest number of refugees?</strong></p>
<p>Turkey currently hosts 3.6 million refugees, the largest by a single country, followed by Columbia that shelters 1.8 million people, including people who fled Venezuela in the last few years, according to the latest <a href="https://www.unhcr.org/statistics/unhcrstats/5fc504d44/mid-year-trends-2020.html?query=UNHCR%20Global%20Trends%202020" target="_blank">United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees</a> (UNHCR) report on forced displacement.</p>
<p><strong>5) Countries most refugees came from</strong></p>
<p>Over two-thirds of the refugees worldwide come from just five countries, the <a href="https://www.unhcr.org/statistics/unhcrstats/5fc504d44/mid-year-trends-2020.html?query=UNHCR%20Global%20Trends%202020">UNHCR</a> report added.</p>

<p>Four people were killed and four badly injured on Saturday when a small plane crashed in Russia's Kemerovo region in southwestern Siberia, the local emergency medical service said.</p>
<p>TASS news agency earlier said at least seven people were killed when the twin-engine L-410 crashed near the Tanay aerodrome, which provides parachuting services.</p>
<p>It also cited the local prosecutors' office as saying the crew had sent a distress signal about engine failure.</p>
<p>A medical services spokesman told Reuters the injured were being airlifted to hospitals.</p>
<p>Social media showed pictures of the heavily-damaged plane with an ambulance nearby.</p>
<p>A spokesman at a Siberian branch of Russian civil aviation agency Rosaviatsia said a search and rescue operation was under way, declining to provide details.</p>

<p>The agreement was also signed by two representatives of the NIAID, one of whom was Amy F. Petrik PhD, a technology transfer specialist who signed the agreement on December 12th 2019 at 8:05 am. The other signatory was Barney Graham MD PhD, an investigator for the NIAID, however this signature was not dated.</p>

<p>All of these signatures were made prior to any knowledge of the alleged emergence of the novel coronavirus. It wasn’t until December 31st 2019 that the World Health Organisation (WHO) became aware of an alleged cluster of viral pneumonia cases in Wuhan, China. But even at this point they had not determined that an alleged new coronavirus was to blame, instead stating the pneumonia was of “unknown cause”.</p>

<p>It was not until January 9th 2020 that the <a href="https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/interactive-timeline#event-7" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><span>WHO reported</span></a> Chinese authorities had determined the outbreak was due to a novel coronavirus which later became known as SARS-CoV-2 with the alleged resultant disease dubbed COVID-19. So why was an mRNA coronavirus vaccine candidate developed by Moderna being transferred to the University of North Carolina on December 12th 2019?</p>
<p>The same Moderna that have had an mRNA coronavirus vaccine authorised for emergency use only in both the United Kingdom and United States to allegedly combat Covid-19.</p>
<p>What did Moderna know that we didn’t? In 2019 there was not any singular coronavirus posing a threat to humanity which would warrant a vaccine, and evidence suggests there hasn’t been a singular coronavirus posing a threat to humanity throughout 2020 and 2021 either.</p>
<p>Considering the fact a faulty PCR test has been used at a high cycle rate, hospitals have been empty in comparison to previous years, statistics show just 0.2% of those allegedly infected have died within 28 days of an alleged positive test result, the majority of those deaths by a mile have been people over the age of 85, and <span><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://dailyexpose.co.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/" target="_blank">a mass of those deaths were caused by a drug called midazolam, which causes respiratory depression, and respiratory arrest</a></span>.</p>
<p>Perhaps Moderna and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases would like to explain themselves in a court of law?</p>
