At least 20 people were murdered in the tragedy, including foreigners.Despite a previous increase in terrorist activity, this strike was the first major terrorist attack Bangladesh had experienced in years. Nevertheless, it was a ringing gong that awoke the country to the dangers within its borders.And what many may not realize is that funding for terrorist activities was once able to enter Bangladesh under the disguise of foreign aid. To counter this elusive funding scheme, Bangladesh’s government has made it harder for NGOs in the country, particularly religious ones, to receive foreign aid.Now, under the FDRB, in order for an NGO to receive foreign funds and perform activities, NGOs much register with NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB). What the FDRB essentially does is it gives the NGOAB the ability to decide which NGOs can receive funding or not.While the NGOAB does have a list of requirements and/or violations that can either grant or cancel an NGO’s ability to register with the NGOAB, one of the most influential of these is the fact that NGOs cannot “[make] derogatory comments about the Constitution and constitutional institutions’ of Bangladesh, including the Offices of the President, the Prime Minister, the Parliament, or the Supreme Court…” according to the Library of Congress.The ambiguous “derogatory comments” give leeway for the NGOAB to decide which NGOs’ registrations can be canceled, even without seemingly hard and incriminating evidence. It was thanks to the missionaries who brought the Faith to these people that civilized them and build their societies. The same can also be said about what is happening with many of the sub-Saharan African peoples today, where thanks to the aggressive work of missionaries tribes and peoples who were once cannibals, murderers, and known for their sins have become some of the most ardent Christians in the world today.One can also see the effects of this in the reverse. This is particularly notable in Germany, which while having a long and rich history with Christianity began the process of rejecting the Faith nearly six centuries ago (the process started about a century before the Protestant Revolution) and was realized in the Protestant Revolution, which stripped the Church from its position as the "second estate" between the government and the people and made it a vassal of the government, establishing nationalism as a religious prerogative and making the act of being a "Christian" a supporter of government policy as well. The result was predictable, for over time Christianity gradually lost following because, as one might expect, if the support of the Church is no different from supporting the government, then what is the purpose of the Church other than a social organization with historic roots? Not surprisingly, a new form of Germanic neopaganism was popularized by the National Socialists as a new religion to take the place of Christianity just like how two centuries earlier, the French Revolutionaries who overthrew the government also persecuted the Church and created their own national religion. Indeed, any nation or people who chooses to worship their own race, land, or ideal other than Christ has simply set foot onto the same path of all of the pagans of old, for nothing is new under the sun. Just like how the consequence of sin are the same regardless of time or place, so are its effects with the only difference being not the results but the ability to more efficiently reproduce the same effects over a larger area in a shorter amount of time with greater efficiency by means of better tools.We can clearly see that the world, having been immersed in sin for so long and having been warned by Our Lady of Fatima about the consequences of man continuing to turn his back on God, it is inevitable that war would come again. True peace does not come through political domination, economic power, or ideas about national or racial superiority. It comes from submission to Christ through His Church, for it is through them and only them that man will be empowered with the weapons to put on the armor of God and so long as he chooses to persist in following the will of God, to stand up to the effects of sin and conquer them. Anybody who promises otherwise is offering only a deception because there is no other way, and as the world turns more against the Faith, so will the horrors of the ancient world once again manifest in ways more efficient and quickly than before.It is Christ against the world, just as it always was. This is the essence of the third wave of the revolution.It is no secret today that relations between men and women have become poisoned because of a lack of respect and, especially on behalf of the women, and unwillingness to accept their biological, God-given role in society as wives, mothers, and the heart of the family. This originally began with the calls for "egalitarianism" during the French Revolution and took form in the first wave of the sexual revolution beginning in the 19th century with the early feminist movement. Regardless of intention, the result of the first stage of feminism was to make men and women have not separate but equal roles in society owing to natural, biological distinctions, but to prepare in the minds of the public that men and women are absolutely equal in the egalitarian sense. This naturally gave way to the second stage of the revolution, which was the separation of sexual activity from procreation. She ran to the local police station to report the assault.According to BACA, the pastor was the extremists' main focus during the attack but members of the church eventually shielded the wounded Sethi from the extremists. Sethi sustained multiple injuries, including a severe injury to his head and a fractured leg.BACA reports that at least four of the attackers have been arrested and identified as RSS members. BACA believes Sethi's wife helped save his life by alerting police."I thought I would die. These men came rushing at me as soon as I started speaking and I was hit on the head. I passed out temporarily which only excited the RSS goons more I am told," Sethi told BACA. "The attackers started beating me more intensely whilst I was on the floor."Sethi's mother told BACA that her son was struck on the head with metal poles and that God gave him mercy and protection."My Son was simply sharing God's message of hope through accepting Christ our Lord and Saviour. The hooligans waited for him to start speaking and rushed to kill him," Sethi's mother told BACA in a phone call. "They were armed with weapons and were beating him hard and any others that tried to stop the violence. I was terrified and had to watch from afar unable to do anything."Sethi told BACA that police officers were initially hesitant to take action against the attackers and were only looking to restore peace."So my colleagues asked me to produce videos about the attack and we shared them on social media to galvanise support for justice," Sethi said. "Christians in India are suffering an increasing amount of animosity since the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) regime secured victory in the national elections of 2014. Life is becoming increasingly untenable and we pray for change to come."Eventually, the authorities were forced to take action after pressure was applied by Christian advocates and public demonstrators.According to Open Doors USA, India ranks as the 15th worst nation in the world when it comes to Christian persecution. Open Doors also attributes the BJP party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's victory in 2014 to an increase in Hindu extremism, adding that the "level of impunity has gone up markedly."
