Major Catholic Leaders Declare: 'Trump's Bombing Of Syria Only Shows That The USA Wants The Violence And Slaughtering To Continue In Syria'

<p>Two major Catholic leaders, Patriarch Ignace Joseph Younan and Bishop Georges Khazen, are condemning Trump's bombing of Syria. According to <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.ncronline.org/news/world/catholic-leaders-syria-criticize-us-missile-strikes">one report:</a></p><blockquote><p>Two prominent Catholic leaders in Syria criticized the U.S. missile strikes against their nation, wondering why they occurred before investigations into the origins of chemical attacks reported April 4.</p><p>But U.S. President Donald Trump said Syrian President Bashar Assad "launched a horrible chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians" and "choked out the lives of helpless men, women and children."</p><p>"No child of God should ever suffer such horror," he said April 6, announcing that he had ordered the strike against the air base from which he said the chemical weapons attack was launched.</p><p>Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignace Joseph Younan called the attack an aggression and told Catholic News Service: "It is a shame that the United States administration didn't wait until an honest United Nations investigation was thoroughly made into what is said to be a chemical air strike in Khan Shaykun."</p><p>"The agglomerate media and the supremacist policy of the USA just want the killing and destroying conflict in Syria to continue, and this primarily to kill whatever attempt to resolve the bloody crisis," added Younan, who was born in Syria and served for 14 years as bishop of the New Jersey-based Diocese of Our Lady of Deliverance for Syriac Catholics in the United States and Canada.</p><p>Bishop Georges Khazen, who serves Latin-rite Catholics in Aleppo, told the Rome-based Fides news agency that he was baffled by "the speed with which it was decided and carried out, without any adequate investigation into the tragic massacre with chemical weapons which took place in Idlib province."</p><p>He said the attack "opens new disturbing scenarios for all."</p></blockquote>

Burmese Military Arrests And Jails Christian Pastors On Bogus Charges And Without Trial For Months

Christians and missionaries are routinely arrested, tortured, and killed over there. The persecution is so bad that the last movie in the <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rambo_(2008_film)">Rambo</a> series with Syvester Stallone was about him helping persecuted Christian minorities and captured American missionaries by the Burmese government, in which in the final end scene he with the Christian missionaries and fellow Burmese Christians take up arms against the Burmese military and wipe them out.</p><p>In a recent story out of Burma, two Christian pastors have been arrested and jailed without any formal charges being brought against them nor any plans for a trial for three months now:</p><blockquote><p>Two assistant pastors arrested by the Burma army have been jailed without trial for more than three months, sources said.</p><p>Pastors Dom Dawng Nawng Latt, 65, and 35-year-old La Jaw Gam Hseng were arrested on Dec. 24 after helping local journalists cover military conflict in northern Shan state, eastern Burma (Myanmar), where a Catholic Church building was bombed by Burma army jets in November. They are charged with unlawful association with an armed ethnic group, an accusation the Kachin Baptist Convention church leaders deny.</p><p>U Brang Di, attorney for the two pastors, told Morning Star News that normally suspects can be held for only 28 days without trial under Burmese law.</p><p>The prosecutor, Maj. Kyaw Zin Htun, has filed charges accusing the pastors of recruiting and spying for armed ethnic groups such as the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Under Burma’s Unlawful Association Act, the Christian leaders could face as much as three years in prison under Article 17/1 for making contributions to or assisting an “unlawful association,” and as much as five years under Article 17/2 for assisting in the management or promotion of one.</p><p>Brang Di said the case has been slowed by prosecution absences and the army’s effort to transfer the accused to a court in Lashio, in northeastern Shan state. Citing ongoing fighting between rebel and government forces in Shan state, the prosecutor sometimes has been unable to show up at court hearings, Brang Di said.<br />“The pastors can’t be detained for such a long time without trial, according to the law,” Brang Di said, adding that he was only stating the law, not complaining, as such delays are common in cases involving the army. “I will try my best to make them free in accordance with the law.”</p><p>The pastors on Dec. 24 went to the Byuha Gon military base to negotiate the release of a civilian couple who had complained to army officials about the destruction of their house, sources said. Military officials released the couple and detained the clergymen, they said, adding that the arrest was linked to the pastors helping journalists cover the bombing of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church building on Nov. 23-24.</p><p>The Unlawful Association Act, often invoked during Burma’s decades of rule by military junta to arrest suspected rebel sympathizers, is still used to stop Kachin state residents from making contact with KIA rebels, according to Radio Free Asia. Burmese and international rights groups have called on the government to amend or rescind the law so that Non-Governmental Organizations are not targeted under the act.</p><p>Armed conflict between Burma and ethnic separatist organizations erupted anew in northern Shan state in November 2016, forcing over 50,000 refugees in total to flee to other areas of the state and the border with China.<br />Zau Rau of the Kachin Baptist Convention in Muse Town, where the pastors are detained, said the KBC wants the trial completed as soon as possible.</p><p>“There is no development,” Rau said. “It seems they make the process long. We want the trial to begin soon.”</p><p>Also slowing the proceedings, he said, was the prosecutor adding charges to the case, most recently charging Pastor Latt with damaging the reputation of the army by allegedly telling media that soldiers burned rice stores belonging to civilians.</p><p>Human Rights Watch has decried the arrests as arbitrary and called on Burma to release the pastors immediately.<br />After more than five years of intensified conflict since Burma violated a 17-year cease-fire in 2011, many Kachin face protracted displacement and are desperate to return home, according to a report by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. The Burma army launched major offensives against the KIA for several months last year and took over several strategic military bases.</p><p>The KBC has provided aid to internally displaced people fleeing fighting between the government army and ethnic militias in both Kachin and Shan states, according to Radio Free Asia.</p><p>Burma is about 80 percent Buddhist and 9 percent Christian. Iraqi Christians Declare To The West 'Please, We Don't Want To Return To Iraq Because We Have Been Through Enough'

We have said repeatedly that the best way to help Iraq's Christians is to help them resettle abroad.</p><p>Now in a recent story, Iraq's Christians are saying what we have been telling everybody for along time- that they don't want to go home because they are afraid ISIS will return once again:</p><blockquote><p>Christians who fled Islamic State atrocities in Mosul, Iraq are reportedly still afraid that violence will return even after their destroyed hometown is reconstructed</p><p>ISIS previously declared a caliphate at the al-Nuri mosque in Mosul, but coalition forces have almost recaptured the site. The Iraqi government has entered the city and has tried to let in only the authorities, but most of the areas surrounding Mosul is being controlled by the Shia militia, CGTN notes.</p><p>In Qaraqosh, electricians are starting to rewire the town in what is seen as one of the first acts of reconstruction since ISIS was driven out of it in December. Unfortunately, Christians will have little use of these services because most of them have already fled to Erbil.</p><p>The situation in and around Mosul has given birth to fear among Christians that sectarian violence could erupt after ISIS is completely defeated. Should that situation play out in the future, believers would reportedly be left without allies.</p><p>Meanwhile, a vicar serving Christian refugees in Erbil warned that the believers can never return to their hometowns because ISIS has trained child radicals with its destructive ideology. Speaking to The Express in an interview published last month, Father Daniel said the militant group will continue its efforts to eradicate Christians from the Middle East.</p><p>"We can go back but it is a question of safety. We are dealing with a new generation bred by ISIS - they have a radical anti-Christian viewpoint and so it would be really hard to go back," Father Daniel told The Express. "It would be very hard for children here and children in Mosul to get together. Can they even get along together as two groups? Could they adapt to each other? We really need to work with the children in Mosul to change what ISIS has implanted there."</p><p>In light of the imminent danger, Father Daniel said education could be Christians' only weapon against ISIS and its new generation of child radicals. The vicar also shared that some of their young supporters are now working as translators and are trying to get their message heard across the world. In the same report I wrote:</p><p>"We have heard repeatedly from politicians and pundits alike that Assad may very well be using his chemical weapons against the rebels. A number of days ago John Baird, Canada’s foreign minister, <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/12/11/pol-baird-syria-chemical-weapons.html">expressed</a> his fear that Assad will be using chemical weapons on his own people.</p><p>Well, as I have said <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2012/11/05/associated-press-finally-takes-notice-of-atrocities-committed-by-syrian-rebels/">numerous times</a>, its the Syrian rebels who we need to worry about and not Assad. The rebels have seized chemical weapons, and they are willing to use them on innocent people. According to <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.elaph.com/Web/news/2012/12/778492.html?entry=arab">Russia Today</a>, Syrian rebels have obtained chemical weapons from Libya and are planning on using them on civilians, and then blaming it on Assad. This is an effort between the Syrian rebels and their allies in Turkey, alongside cooperation with Libyan rebels under Abdel Hakim bel Haj."</p><p>In 2013, the US government and much of the media were saying that Assad's regime used sarin nerve gas civilians. It turned out to be that it was the rebels who used the chemical weapon, as <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2013/08/27/evidence-syrian-rebels-used-chemical-weapons-not-assad/">shoebat.com confirmed</a> (click <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2013/03/25/alarming-footage-syrian-rebels-used-chemical-weapons/">here</a> as well). As <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2013/08/30/ap-reporter-syrian-rebels-behind-chemical-attack/">Shoebat.com had shown</a>, an AP reporter documented how the chemical weapons were used by the rebels:</p><blockquote><p>The U.S., Britain, and France as well as the Arab League have accused the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for carrying out the chemical weapons attack, which mainly targeted civilians. U.S. warships are stationed in the Mediterranean Sea to launch military strikes against Syria in punishment for carrying out a massive chemical weapons attack.<strong> The U.S. and others are not interested in examining any contrary evidence, with U.S Secretary of State John Kerry saying Monday that Assad’s guilt was “a judgment … already clear to the world.”</strong></p><p>However, from numerous interviews with doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families, a different picture emerges. Many believe that <strong>certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan,</strong> and were responsible for carrying out the dealing gas attack.</p></blockquote><p>Another report showed:</p><blockquote><p>…the militant group <strong>Jabhat al-Nusra, which is linked to al-Qaida,</strong> announced that it would similarly attack civilians in the Assad regime’s heartland of Latakia on Syria’s western coast, in purported retaliation.</p><p>“They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them,” complained a female fighter named ‘K.’ “We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.”</p><p><strong>“When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them,”</strong> she warned.</p></blockquote><p>The US government currently is playing the same propaganda scheme, blaming a chemical attack on Assad, when it was more than likely the rebels who had those chemical weapons.</p><p>So what is the truth behind this chemical attack that never circulates the western media? Lets examine footage never seen before in the West and the evidence regarding the latest chemical attack narrative from Syria to see who really is behind these alleged 'chemical attacks'.</p><p>Firstly, lets start with the politics. It was Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who has called on US President <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2017/4/5/trump-turns-against-assad-after-chemical-attack-atrocity-?utm_campaign=magnet&utm_source=article_page&utm_medium=related_articles" target="_blank">Donald Trump</a> to back up his harsh words against Syria with actions, following the <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2017/4/5/chemical-attack-evidence-of-syria-war-crimes" target="_blank">deadly chemical attack</a> this week that left scores of people, including children dead.</p><p>"Trump said it was impossible to close your eyes against the Assad regime's hateful actions. Thank you, but don't limit yourself to comments, we need action," Erdogan told Turkey's <em>Kanal 7</em> television.</p><p>"If it truly is a matter of actions, then Turkey is ready to take its responsibilities. We will not back down," he said.</p><p>It was former US president Barack Obama who had also warned Syria that chemical attacks in the country's civil war would cross a "red line", but later refrained from taking military action against the regime.</p><p>As we stated several times, in the U.S. parties change but foreign policy doesn't. So Trump complied to the Islamist's request from Turkey by sending cruise missiles which were fired from a U.S. Navy vessel in the Mediterranean Sea. Their target was the airfield which serves as the base for the warplanes suspected of carrying out the chemical attack.</p><p>Two Republican senators are calling on President Donald Trump to take out Syria's air force as part of a swift and forceful response.</p><p>"Hit this guy," Graham said of Assad. "You've got my full permission." <a class="r_lapi" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/us/john-mccain.htm">John McCain</a> of Arizona, who spoke to Trump on Wednesday, and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said in a statement Thursday that Syrian President Bashar Assad "has crossed a line" and "must pay a punitive cost for this horrific attack."</p><p>But what is the truth from the ground and what is going to be the results of all of this. Here, in Syria demonstrators that condemn the alleged chemical attack shout <em>Al-Sha'b yurid Khilafa Islamiyeh</em>. English: "the people want an Islamic Caliphate":</p><p><span class="embed-youtube" style="text-align:center; display: block;"><iframe class='youtube-player' type='text/html' width='640' height='390' src='http://www.youtube.com/embed/N-BW7yNbWIg?version=3&rel=1&fs=1&autohide=2&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&wmode=transparent' allowfullscreen='true' style='border:0;'></iframe></span></p><p>But what is the truth behind this chemical attack that never circulates the western media that we obtained from Middle Eastern sources?</p><p><em>Khan Sheikhoun</em>, where the attack happened was a hewn mountain with tunnels and impenetrable bunkers. Definitely a major hiding place for manufacturing weapon supplies for the Islamist rebels on a major scale. It is a "warehouse used to both produce and store shells containing toxic gas" as Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.</p><p>Photos of the place and a video combines both scenes from the attack. This is a coalition of Islamist and Salafist units involved in the Syrian Civil War. The group along with <a class="mw-redirect" title="Ahrar ash-Sham" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahrar_ash-Sham">Ahrar ash-Sham</a> are the main rebel groups supported by <a title="Saudi Arabia" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Arabia">Saudi Arabia</a>. Liwa al-Islam was established by <a title="Zahran Alloush" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zahran_Alloush">Zahran Alloush</a>, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaysh_al-Islam">Mohammed Alloush</a> who is currently residing in Turkey and is aided by it.</p><p>One clue that reveal these knew of the attack prior to it happening was that Alloush blundered a tweet showing about the types of symptoms caused by the gas claiming it caused "heart failure for five hours". It is possible however to have a coma because of the inhalation of chlorine gas and other chemicals. How he knew what chemical agent was used before any investigation remains a mystery.</p><p>Also, another source of these leaked reports is the social media accounts of Syrian propaganda journalist Feras Karam, who writes for the Syrian oppositionist website Orient News. Karam before the day of the attack tweeted all journalists to prep for the major media campaign to expose Syria's use of chemical attacks. The Syrian government has achieved significant gains, while its rebel adversaries are largely in disarray. It has taken back the cities of Aleppo and Homs, and was on the cusp of negotiating issues of aid and reconstruction with world powers under the aegis of the U.N. Assad was getting a clean slate. Why would Assad risk it all by carrying out a chemical attack?</p><p>Or is it that the rebels were done with and they needed an ace from under Turkey's sleeve? The Islamic Government Of Sudan Plans On Destroying Twenty Five Christian Churches. Christians Gather Together To Protest, And Muslims Attack Them And Stab One Church Elder To Death

<p>The Islamic government of Sudan is planning to destroy twenty five Christian churches. Christians recently gathered together to protest this persecution, and Muslims came in and attacked them, stabbing one church elder to death. Here is one report on <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.christianpost.com/news/sudan-to-demolish-25-christian-churches-christian-elder-stabbed-to-death-179817/">the story:</a></p><div class="page"><div class="container"><div class="article-content main-content"><div><article class="full-article"><section><blockquote><p>The American Center for Law and Justice said on Thursday that Christians, who are a minority in the Muslim-dominated Sudan, have been protesting against government plans to demolish the 25 churches. Officials contend that the churches were built on land intended for other use.</p><p>"The Sudanese government has repeatedly oppressed the Christian community by interfering with their land and places of worship. For example, in 2014 officials made a statement that no new churches could be built in Sudan," the ACLJ wrote.</p><p>"Additionally, in 2012, the Ministry of Endowment canceled the democratically elected committee that had been in place since 1902 to oversee church property, and appointed a corrupt committee that sold most of the church's land," it continued.</p><p>"The Administration court issued a decision in February 2015 ruling that the ministry has no right to appoint this committee and the elected committee had the legal power to deal with church land," but the government has refused to implement the court's decision.</p><p>Meanwhile, Open Doors reported that a church elder was stabbed to death over a similar issue on April 3.</p><p>The organization, which ranks Sudan as the fifth worst country in the world when it comes to Christian persecution, said that a group of Christians gathered on Monday at the Evangelical School in Omdurman for a peaceful protest against the illegal appropriation of the school.</p><p>Police arrested the men, however, while a group of 20 people began beating the women. A number of men from the nearby Bahri Evangelical Church rushed in to help their brothers and sisters in Christ, but two were stabbed in the clashes.</p><p>Younan Abdullah, an elder in Bahri Evangelical Church, died from his injuries, while the second church member, Ayoub Kumama, survived and was treated at a nearby hospital.</p><p>Although one man was arrested by police following Abdullah's murder, Open Doors argued that officials did not do enough to protect the peaceful protesters from the attack.</p><p>Several pastors have also been arrested on trumped-up national security charges, and although some have since been released, the Rev. Hassan Abduraheem remains in prison after being sentenced to 12 years for his Christian faith.</p><p>In February, Pastor Michael Yat, who was also previously imprisoned, told International Christian Concern in response to questions by The Christian Post that the Sudanese government doesn't want Christians in the country.</p><p>He claimed that the government is especially opposed to those who can speak Arabic, "because they fear that they can easily reach out to the Muslims and win them to Christ."</p><p>"They do not allow pastors to reach out to Muslims in Khartoum, Darfur and the Nuba mountains. These are strictly Muslim-dominated areas," he said.</p></blockquote>

Trump Betrays His Supporters And Syria's Christians, Goes All In To Support Islamic Terrorists, The Neocon Swamp, And Its Evil Agenda

<p>This attack by President Trump is an act of outright betrayal. Let's not mince words- he made a promise that he would not worsen the situation with Syria. We have reported regularly on the barbarity of ISIS and even on actions committed by the legitimate Syrian government. If you look back at our archives, you will see that President Asad's government has done almost NOTHING in comparison to that which ISIS has committed, and when he has acted, he has done so against ISIS members.</p><p>President Asad is a figure who <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2016/12/26/while-isis-rebels-slaughter-christians-syrian-president-asad-visits-christians-and-celebrates-christmas-with-them-at-a-monastery/">unites rather than divides Syria</a>. Christians, Muslims, and pagans alike in Syria supported and continue to support him because while he is a Muslim, he has stood alongside all of the diverse groups in Syria and tried to keep them together. The reason this was done was in order to create a social wedge which the US could use to dislodge various and current governments in the Middle East and replace them with malleable rulers that would allow for America to continue expanding her economic interests (primarily in the form of crude oil and rare earth mineral reserves) while at the same time attacking Russia. Syria was always a target because of her strategic geopolitical location as a crossing point between Israel, Iraq, and Turkey. He knows how to gain and keep power, and he is not going to do something that is brazenly stupid which will cause his power to be in jeopardy- not after fighting as hard as he has and enlisting the help of the Russians to do so. Why would he give America and her allies any reason whatsoever to further push into his country when he has stated and shown repeatedly that he wants peace for his people and an end to the terrorism that the US has brought? It makes absolutely no sense for him to give the order to just randomly murder his own people with any kind of weapon and without explanation.</p><p>Second, one cannot understand the situation in Syria without looking at American policy for the last century.</p><p style="text-align: center"><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/PNAC_logo.png"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-110112" height="48" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" src="http://shoebat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/PNAC_logo-300x48.png" srcset="http://shoebat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/PNAC_logo-300x48.png 300w, http://shoebat.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/PNAC_logo.png 500w" width="300" /></a></p><p>Back in 1997, there was a think tank created called the <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century">"Project for a New American Century."</a> It was headed by the neoconservative William Kristol, and the purpose of the institution was to carve out a 'new vision' for America's role in the 21st century to retain America's position as the preeminent world power. The way the institution proposed to do this was, among other reasons, through destabilizing and toppling governments who did not submit to American economic or political demands under the guise of promoting "freedom" abroad and then institute puppet governments in these same nations. These actions would be carried out with willing economic and political allies in Western Europe, Israel, and Turkey. There were many nations targeted by PNAC's reports for "regime change," particularly in the Middle East. These included Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, and Somalia.</p><p style="text-align: left">Many of these reports were formulated back in the 1990s and even earlier. It is important to understand that the policies which the US followed in the Middle East following the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks were already well established before the attacks happened. They did not exist as policies unto themselves, but were the modernized forms of policies followed for the decades after World War II during the Cold War, except now instead of being directed against the Soviet Union the target was Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and her allies such as China.</p><p>Due to its geopolitical location and now the significant presence of crude oil and rare earth minerals used in modern industrial technology, the Middle East became the focus of the geopolitical conflict between the USA et al and Russia et al of the last century. Indeed, the Middle East has always been a place of conflict where various empires fought out their issues through proxy wars (before moving to direct war) going back to antiquity. The only difference between today and yesterday was the names, faces, and tools used, but still with the same objective, and that is the pursuit of power.</p><p>Third, the fact is that the USA has been pushing the "chemical weapons" charges against Syria for many years with the only claims of proof being political rumors in the same way which they leveled charged against other countries she wanted to overthrow. A fitting song for many policies for the last half century.</p><p>As I mentioned in my previous point, the conflict today is a power struggle being waged on behalf of the major industrial interests in America and the West which are all in turn controlled and directed by the major financial interests going back to World War II. There is absolutely no regard shown for the people at all except for a feigned regard in order to give the illusion of care so as to justify invasion.</p><p>Back in 1951, the Iranians considered themselves allies of the US and were a democratic country who had recently and democratically elected a new prime minister, Mohamed Mossadegh. Iran was for all intensive purposes a nation that wanted to imitate America and Europe. However, Mossadegh incurred the wrath of the West because he nationalized the Iranian Oil and Gas industry instead of allowing it to remain solely a private enterprise that could be exploited by foreign (American and European) Oil interests. The result was that the CIA deposed Mossadegh in Operation Ajax in 1953 and installed a "friendly" government which allowed for the continuation of business interests. The result was a rebellion from the Muslim clergy that lead to the overthrow of the Monarchy in the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the current state of Iran today.</p><p>While there is much talk about how much Iran "hates" America, when viewed from the lens of history, how would you feel if your supposed "friend" destroyed your nation so they could take your stuff?</p><p>In Afghanistan, the conflict was over access to the same crude oil and rare earth minerals, and the reason for getting involved in the conflict was supposedly to help the "plight" of the Afghan people. Remember that the USA once upon a time was BEST FRIENDS with Saddam Hussein because he was fighting a war against the Iranians (who were backed by the Russians), and after the Iraq-Iran war of the 1980s (at the same time President Reagan was arming the Taliban), we then turned our backs of Saddam after he refused to submit to US demands. The result was the Persian Gulf war of 1991 and the subsequent US blockade on Iraq that caused millions to starve to death and greatly weakened the nation's ability to survive. This is not to mention the use of highly destructive weapons such as bombs contained depleted uranium that poisoned large groups of the population and have caused long-term health problems.</p><p>Remember that when we went to war against Saddam, we accused him of using chemical weapons and specifically, poison gas against the Kurdish people. Now there is a considerable body of evidence on this which proves that Saddam, while he did mistreat the Kurds, did so as much as he needed to in order to prevent a rebellion in his own nation as the Kurds were constantly threatening to secede and form their own state of Kurdistan. Most importantly, it seems that when he did use chemical weapons, his targets were against the Iranians (who also used chemical weapons against the Iraqis), and that it is highly unlikely he ever carried out any intentional "gas attacks" against his own people.</p><p>Likewise, fast forward to the Middle East in 2001 with the "September 11th attacks." We know for a fact that for many years, Osama Bin Laden was a CIA asset- after all, his Taliban was created by the CIA to serve their ends. Does it really make sense that *suddenly* this man who we know and have been working with for almost two decades suddenly can pull off a massive, coordinated attack against major American targets and nobody in the government knew ANYTHING?</p><p>The more questions one asks about 9/11 the more questions naturally arise, but all of the questions ultimately have one generic answer that can be accounted for, and that is 9/11 was a complete set up that was more an internal job than an external one. Both of these charges were proven to be patently false- they were outright lies that the US government under then Secretary of State Colin Powell spouted off before the entire world like a used car salesman making a pitch to sell a worthless car to a prospective buyer, and they were told because Saddam did not want to support the US. These lies were used as the basis to invade Iraq, murder Saddam, and set up a "friendly" government in his place, again, without any regard for the people of Iraq.</p><p>Muammar Gaddhafi of Libya suffered the same fate. Slandered and libeled in the American media, Gaddhafi was a hard but good ruler who looked out for the good of his people and even those in Europe who did not like him. It was Gaddhafi who killed Islamic terrorists and prevented massed of people from crossing his borders illegally. As we pointed out, the evidence is clear that just like with Saddam, the damage from the chemical weapons were the secondhand and accidental effects of destroying those same weapons which were in the hands of ISIS- a.k.a. No president is perfect- I understand this. However, Syria is a huge and pressing issue which he has just betrayed the trust of the people who voted for him on even the most elementary of his promises about in a most flagrant way.
