(<a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.christiantoday.com/article/pastors.arrested.and.churches.set.for.demolition.as.persecution.increases.in.sudan/97717.htm">source</a>)</blockquote>Islam seizes Churches because it is a mark of conquest for them- to desecrate a spot designated for Christ with their prayers and rituals to the false diety Allah.  Many of the great Muslim mosques today are almost all built on the ruins of captured and desecrated Churches in the ancient world.The Spaniards had the correct attitude for dealing with Muslims. When Muslims took over churches, they did not see it as being "lost" to the Muslims, because that space was truly consecrated for God. It was, instead, temporarily occupied by the enemy, but unrighteously. That means it could be illegally occupied for centuries- but neverthless, with man's efforts and God's hand, eventually these churches would be reconquered and restored to their rightful places. This is the entire basis of the reconquista, since it presumes at its essence that Islam possesses nothing except that which it has stolen, and it is the moral imperative of Christians to reclaim for Christ that which the enemy has stolen.Do not think that just because a person has "given up" or even "sold" a church or a holy place to the Muslims means that it is lost. Both men seem to defy everything and reverse the projections made by experts. Is it perhaps Trump has copied Ford's manual on how to run for an election and knows that the end results are opposite from what people see on the TV screen?The <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/11/how-clinton-trump-poll-positions-stack-up-versus-previous-races.html">media says</a> its all over for Trump, but not so fast, perhaps according to Trump's thinking, Ford after all, defied media logic. CNBC says its over for Trump, but Ford's story says its over for Hillary. Tonight, CNBC said:<blockquote>"with just 28 days left to the presidential election and based on the polling patterns in recent presidential campaigns, it may already be over. As of Tuesday, Clinton leads Trump by 6.5 percentage points, based on an average of national polls tracked by Real Clear Politics. That gap may be all but impossible to close by Nov. 8, when voters go to the polls."</blockquote>So will Trump defy the polls? According to Ford's story the answer is Yes. Currently we have 17% who say they are "undecided". But when Toronto mayor Rob Ford ran for mayor in 2010, there were many undecided voters who swayed towards him, that, plus he defied the polls. September 27 polls in 2010, showed Ford's lead diminishing at 28% with 25% undecided. On election day October 25th, just one month later, Ford received a whopping 47% of the vote. These undecideds seem to say to pollsters "its not of your darn business who I am voting for".Real Clear Politics says that Hillary beats Trump by 6.5%. This is nothing in comparison to Ford's gap, the undecided were glad to fill it for him and more others who switched what they told pollsters.Shortly after Trump announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in June 2015, the former mayor, in an interview with Joe Warmington in the Toronto Sun, seemed confident of Trump’s chances despite his underdog status at the time. “A lot of the media were taking shots at him and making it out to be a joke but in the end it will be them who will be surprised,” Ford said. “They can laugh all they want, but Mr. Trump is a very successful man and <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.torontosun.com/2015/06/17/donald-trump-very-good-candidate-rob-ford-says" target="_blank">a very good candidate for president</a>.”Will his prediction come true? While Trump was plagued with locker-room talk, Ford's case was much worse, he was plagued by the drug scandal (cellphone video of Ford smoking crack) including an addiction to racist and homophobic comments. Even after the scandal, he registered in 2014 to run for reelection to a second term, before doctors found a tumor in his abdomen. He dropped out of the mayoral race and instead ran for -- and won -- his old seat on the Toronto City Council, where he served two years before his death.Toronto mayoralty campaigns are gruelling 10-month marathons in which the winner is often the one who makes the fewest mistakes. Most contenders couldn’t survive even one major slip-up. Toward the midpoint of the campaign, there were several moments when even Ford appeared to teeter on the edge of self-destruction. One incident involved Ford offering to try to score OxyContin for a campaign supporter, another a 10-year-old conviction for drunk driving. But after the media and his opponents attacked him for such behaviour, Ford’s numbers went up.For Kouvalis, the defining “wind in our sails” came during a televised all-candidates’ debate. The moderator cued up a shot of Sri Lankan refugees on a boat headed for Canada and asked whether Canada should accept them. “NOPE!” said Rob Ford. “Right now, we can’t even deal with the 2.5 million people we have in the city. It shouldn’t be the object of political bargains,” said Archbishop Henryk Hoser of Warsaw-Praga, chairman of the Polish bishops’ bioethics committee.“This draft bill may have needed some corrections, but it was prepared solidly enough. Its rejection leaves us in the same situation as before,” he said.The Church leaders’ comments to Poland’s Catholic Information Agency came after the Warsaw parliament’s rejection of the “Stop Abortion” bill, 352-58, with 18 abstentions. The legislation would have banned all abortions unless a woman’s life was in danger. It would also have jailed women for having abortions – a clause which the Polish bishops opposed.The bishops’ conference said the sanctity of human life had been stressed by St John Paul II, but cautioned that the church would not support laws that allowed aborting women to be punished.“Church institutions don’t deal with civil law projects, although they use their right to express opinions on proposed legal regulations,” the conference said in an October 6 statement.“We encourage prayers for women who fulfill the motherhood vocation in their lives, as well as for those facing hardships,” the statement added.Poland’s 1993 law, one of Europe’s tightest, restricts abortion to cases of rape, incest, severe foetal damage or threats to a woman’s life, and has cut registered terminations, according to Health Ministry data, to around 1,000 nationwide per year.Church leaders have threatened to deny sacraments to politicians supporting liberalisation, and backed the Stop Abortion project when it was presented in March to the 460-seat parliament, where the conservative Law and Justice party has held a majority since winning the October 2015 elections.The citizens’ legislation, drafted by Poland’s Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture with 450,000 signatures, would have outlawed abortions even in rape cases, with penalties of five years in jail for mothers and doctors, and 10 years if force was involved.It was protested against on October 3 by up to 100,000 women, dressed in black, who staged strikes and rallies across Poland, but supported by rival pro-life demonstrations, as well as in church Masses.The Catholic chairwoman of the pro-life Forum of Polish Women, Ewa Kowalewska, told KAI on October 3 that her organisation had “protested decisively” against the projected jailing of women, adding that she believed the Stop Abortion bill had been drawn up by “young inexperienced lawyers.”However, in his interview, Archbishop Hoser said the bill’s rejection had left a “legal regime hard to accept” and that the church would continue demanding tougher abortion curbs.“The fact that the church tackles this difficult problem via the sacramental path doesn’t mean women having abortions are guiltless,” the archbishop said.The head of Law and Justice, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, blamed the bill’s rejection on October 6 on “a gigantic misunderstanding,” and said his party would also continue defending life “in a more thought-out way.”
