<p>Land Rovers keep getting more expensive, but $600,000? That seems like a lot – and it is – especially when the vehicle in question is a bare-bones, stripped-out Defender, and not, say, a fully loaded <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/land+rover+range+rover+sport+svr/" target="_blank">Range Rover Sport SVR</a>. But this isn’t any ordinary Defender, or a typical sale.</p>
<p>This is the 2,000,000th example Land Rover has built, counting all the Series models and Defenders that have rolled off the line at Solihull over the course of nearly seven decades. The milestone unit was specially outfitted with an engraved map of Red Wharf Bay (where the design was first envisioned) along with leather seats and special badges. The manufacturer handed it over to Bonhams, which auctioned it off as part of a special event at its London headquarters. It sold to a Qatari buyer for an impressive £400,000 – equivalent to nearly $600,000 at current exchange rates.</p>

Where Christ Drove Demons into Sea: Archaeological Evidence Uncovered

<h4>Evidence has been uncovered corroborating the site of one of Jesus’ most powerful and dramatic miracles: the casting out of demons into a herd of swine in the land of the Gadarenes (or Gerasenes).</h4>
<p>Israeli archaeologists have unearthed a 1,500-year-old marble slab with Hebrew inscriptions near Kursi, the spot traditionally associated with the miracle of Christ’s banishment of demons into a herd of swine.</p>
<p>Archeologists believe the slab to be a commemoration tablet dating from around 500 AD. The inscription in Hebrew begins with the words “Remembered for good.”</p>
<p>The biblical description of the miracle is one of the most evocative in the entire Gospel. Recounted by Matthew, Mark, and Luke with different nuances, the Gospels depict Jesus in one of His most direct confrontations with Satan.</p>
<p>Mark <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%205&version=NRSV" target="_blank">describes</a> the possessed man as fiercely strong and dangerous. Local citizens had tried in vain to restrain him with shackles and chains, but he broke them to pieces. The man lived among the tombs, howling night and day and gashing himself with stones. He terrified the people so much that no one dared go near.</p>
<p>On seeing Jesus approach, the man ran and bowed down before him, while the demons inside him howled and begged Jesus not to torment them.</p>
<p>Jesus, meanwhile, was ordering them, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”</p>
<p>When Jesus commanded the demons to identify themselves, they replied, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”</p>
<p>Jesus then cast the demons into a herd of about 2,000 swine grazing on a nearby hillside. The pigs rushed headlong down the steep bank into the sea, where they drowned, to the utter amazement and shock of the townspeople.</p>
<p>The healed demoniac, now clothed and in his full senses, begged Jesus to take him back with him, but Jesus told him to stay and proclaim the mercy of God to his family and friends.</p>
<p>The University of Haifa researchers found the marble on the eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee, in Kursi, the historically Gentile district of the Decapolis.</p>
<p>On the slab, scientists also identified the words “amen” and “marmaria,” which could refer to marble or to Mary, Jesus’ mother.</p>
<p>Kursi has been identified in Christian tradition with <a href="http://www.israelinsideout.com/Christian-Sites-in-the-Galilee/kursi-the-miracle-of-the-swine.html" target="_blank">Gadarenes</a>, where the Miracle of the Swine took place. In the fifth and sixth centuries, a Christian church was built to mark the spot of the biblical location but was destroyed by invading Persians in 614 AD and, after being rebuilt, was demolished by fire shortly afterward. The site remained abandoned for most of the following 1,300 years.</p>
<p>The church was lost to history until it was <a href="http://www.wordofgodtoday.com/kursi-and-the-miracle-of-the-swine/" target="_blank">uncovered</a> by accident during the building of a new road in 1970. Archaeological excavations continued at the site from 1970-74. Around the vicinity of the church, caves are still visible, and there is a mountain that drops down into the sea, such as described in the biblical account.</p>
<p>Christ’s trip to the land of the Gadarenes (Kursi) was one of his rare visits to Gentile territory, which also explains the presence of the herd of pigs, which was forbidden to the Jews. Jesus <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+15%3A24&version=NASB" target="_blank">Himself</a> had said that He was sent only “to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”</p>
<p>Celebrated Christian apologist Steve Ray, a frequent visitor to Kursi who often leads groups through biblical sites in the Holy Land, told Breitbart News that since Kursi had the largest monastery in Israel, it was obviously held in high esteem by the first Christians.</p>
<p>“The early Judeo-Christians remembered the places and events surrounding the life of Christ, and as soon as Christianity was legalized, churches were built on these different sites,” he said.</p>
<p>“The more archaeology uncovers,” Ray said, “the more the Bible is confirmed.”</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">While skulls found in the cave in Yunnan Province, China, were thought to belong to a primitive form of Homo sapiens, the thigh bone seems to be from a different species of human.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Professor Ji Xueping, from the Yunnan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology in China, said: ‘Its young age suggests the possibility that primitive-looking humans could have survived until very late in our evolution, but we need to careful as it is just one bone.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">‘The unique environment and climate of southwest China resulting from the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau may have provided a refuge for human diversity, perhaps with pre-modern groups surviving very late.’</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The discovery is expected to be controversial as modern humans are only thought to have lived alongside the Neanderthals of Europe and East Asia and the Denisovans of southern Siberia.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Even these extinct species are thought to have died out 40,000 years ago shortly after modern humans spread from Africa into the region.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">However, unlike these robust and heavy set extinct human species, the thigh bone discovered at Red Deer Cave, also called Maludong, is small and narrow, much like in Homo habilis.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The neck of the femur is long while the area where the muscles were attached to the hop is very large and faces backwards.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The discovery of 47 human teeth from a cave in southern China has the potential to dramatically rewrite the narrative of our ancestors’ spread out of Africa.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Scientists excavating an area in Daoxian say the fossils belong to modern humans and date to at least 80,000 years ago.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">It suggests that modern humans reached southern China from Africa long before they arrived in northern China or Europe.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Most scientists believe that our species appeared in East Africa around 190,000 to 160,000 years ago.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">After this, human fossils from the archaeological sites of Es Skhül and Jabel Qafzen, in Israel, suggest they spread there between 80,000 and 120,000 years ago.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Fossil evidence suggests they arrived in Europe 60,000 to 40,000 years ago.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">But the new samples suggest some early humans ‘on verge of modernity’ may have migrated to southern China.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Researchers behind the analysis of the bone, which is published in the journal <a class="" href="http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0143332" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Public Library of Science One</a>, believe the person it belonged to would have had a small body mass of just 50kg or less than eight stone, which was light by the standards of Ice Age humans.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The bone was first unearthed along with dozens of other bones and skull fragments in the cave during an excavation in 1989.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Dating has shown they were 14,000 years old.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">The remains of a prehistoric deer, which appears to have been cooked, were also found in the cave, giving them their name.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">Analysis on the skulls suggested they were a primitive looking population of modern humans who had migrated to the region more than a hundred thousand years ago.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">But the latest discovery suggests at least some of the bones, which are know being kept in a museum in south east Yunnan, may belong to an enclave of a much older species.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">A skull found at another site in China, Longlin Cave, is also thought to be a hybrid between modern humans and an unknown ancient species.</p>
<p class="mol-para-with-font">It could be the people from Red Deer Cave were this other ancient group.</p>

A Scientific Means for Islamic Military Alliance to Collaborate and Deploy

<p><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="195" src="http://davidleffler.com/images/ecuador-IDT-Slide07.jpg" width="496" /></p>
<p>The state-run Saudi Press Agency has announced that 34 nations are forming a new “Islamic military alliance” to fight terrorism.</p>
<p>But will this new alliance really be able to prevent future terrorist attacks and create lasting peace? There is no statistically validated guarantee that the military strategy of fighting violence with violence will work. It certainly has not in the past. Why should it now? History shows that using violence to quell violence ultimately just ratchets up the level of violence.</p>
<p>There is hope, however, if the new alliance honors its stated goal that terrorism “should be fought by all means and collaboration should be made to eliminate it.” Today a scientifically validated means exists to prevent terrorism and war, and all countries involved in the alliance could collaboratively deploy it. This scientific approach is known in military circles as Invincible Defense Technology (IDT). This field-tested approach to reducing stress and violence is already part of the training of Brazil’s Elite Police force, and has been field-tested by other militaries. It has been validated by 23 peer-reviewed studies carried out in both developed and developing nations, including the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Independent scientists and scholars endorse it, based on 25 years of ongoing research.</p>
<p>IDT Reduces Societal Stress</p>
<p>As a specially trained military unit, an “IDT Prevention Wing of the Military” uses IDT to neutralize the buildup of stress in the national collective consciousness that ultimately fuels terrorism, war and crime. As collective stress and frustration subside, government leaders and citizens alike are more capable of finding orderly and constructive solutions to the issues that have separated them for generations.</p>
<p>Experience with IDT in highly stressed areas of the globe have demonstrated increased economic incentive and growth of prosperity. Individual creativity and entrepreneurship increase as well. With greater civic calm, citizens’ aspirations rise and a more productive and balanced society emerges. Such a society naturally disallows violence as a means for change, or as an expression of discontent. With this, the ground for terrorism is eliminated. Moreover, this positive change in social trends takes place within a few days or weeks after IDT is introduced. The changes are measurable from such statistics as reduced terrorism, crime rates, accidents, hospital admissions, infant mortality, etc.</p>
<p>The IDT warrior’s daily routine includes the non-religious practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique and the advanced TM-Sidhi program. Military personnel, functioning as a societal coherence-creating military unit, practice these techniques together in a group twice a day, seven days a week, preferably near the targeted population in a secure location. Their presence need not be disclosed to achieve the effect of conflict resolution and violence reduction.</p>
<p>Such coherence-creating groups have achieved positive benefits to society, shown experientially, in just 48 hours. Modern statistical methods demonstrate a consistent causal influence of the IDT group on reducing conflict, precluding chance or coincidence. The IDT approach has been used during wartime, resulting in reduction of fighting, reduced war deaths and casualties, and improved progress toward resolving the conflict through peaceful means. Its coherence-creating effect has also been documented on a global scale in a study published in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. When large assemblies of civilian IDT experts gathered during the years 1983-1985, terrorism-related casualties decreased 72%, international conflict decreased 32%, and overall violence was reduced in nations without intrusion by other governments.</p>
<p>A civilian IDT group in Israel decreased the intensity of war in Lebanon in 1983 in a dramatic way in 48 hours, to name only one of 50 successful demonstrations. (See a summary of the study, published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution and summaries of follow-up studies in the Journal of Social Behavior and Personality and the Journal of Scientific Exploration).</p>
<p>CONCLUSION</p>
<p>IDT is totally unlike any other defense technology because it does not use violence in an attempt to quell violence. It is a more civilized approach, yet the IDT defense technology supersedes all other known defense technologies (which are based on electronic, chemical, and/or nuclear forces). Therefore, militaries that deploy it gain the ultimate strategic advantage.</p>
<p>If the Islamic military alliance defense forces establish Prevention Wings of the Military, they will ease the current high tensions, reverse centuries of mistrust and hatred and permanently prevent future unrest. These IDT units will create genuine and lasting reconciliation and friendship where there was once only hatred and conflict. The powerful IDT human-resource-based defense technology disallows negative trends and prevents enemies from arising. No enemies means no terrorism and full security, as well as a normal, happy, productive life for everyone.</p>
<p>By eliminating terrorism and ending decades-old cycles of violence, the Islamic military alliance IDT units will create lasting peace and prosperity. Their powerful demonstration of this non-violent peace technology will gain worldwide attention. They will be honored and respected as great warriors who served honorably in their militaries for the betterment of all humanity.</p>
<p>Extensive scientific research objectively says, “Yes, this approach works.” This is a military “means” that should be championed with “all means.” It is desperately needed. There is truly no other solution.</p>
<p>The Islamic military alliance must act now, before high social tensions inevitably explode again.</p>
