Retired Generals Demand Pentagon ‘Take Steps’ to Stop ‘Insurrection’ After 2024 Election

Three retired generals called on the military to “take steps” to avoid a “civil war” caused by a possible “insurrection” following the 2024 presidential election.
In an <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/12/17/eaton-taguba-anderson-generals-military/" target="_blank">op-ed</a> published by The Washington Post on Friday, former Army Major Gen. Paul Eaton, former Brigadier Gen. Steven Anderson and former Army Major Gen. Antonio Taguba said the Pentagon must prepare for “another insurrection” after the 2024 election.
“With the country still as divided as ever, we must take steps to prepare for the worst,” they wrote. “The potential for a total breakdown of the chain of command along partisan lines -from the top of the chain to squad level – is significant should another insurrection occur.”

“The idea of rogue units organizing among themselves to support the ‘rightful’ commander in chief cannot be dismissed,” they continued, adding “it is not outlandish to say a military breakdown could lead to civil war.”
Pushing the <a href="https://townhall.com/tipsheet/spencerbrown/2021/10/21/ag-garland-debunks-democrat-insurrection-claims-about-january-6th-n2597813" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">debunked “insurrection” narrative</a> related to January 6, the generals described several measure to root out soldiers still loyal to Trump or otherwise questioning Joe Biden’s leadership.
“First, everything must be done to prevent another insurrection. Not a single leader who inspired it has been held to account. Our elected officials and those who enforce the law — including the Justice Department, the House select committee and the whole of Congress — must show more urgency,” they wrote.
“The Pentagon should immediately order a civics review for all members — uniformed and civilian — on the Constitution and electoral integrity,” the trio said. “There must also be a review of the laws of war and how to identify and deal with illegal orders. And it must reinforce ‘unity of command’ to make perfectly clear to every member of the Defense Department whom they answer to. No service member should say they didn’t understand whom to take orders from during a worst-case scenario.”

Additionally, they wrote, “all military branches must undertake more intensive intelligence work at all installations. The goal should be to identify, isolate and remove potential mutineers; guard against efforts by propagandists who use misinformation to subvert the chain of command; and understand how that and other misinformation spreads across the ranks after it is introduced by propagandists.”
“Finally, the Defense Department should war-game the next potential post-election insurrection or coup attempt to identify weak spots. It must then conduct a top-down debrief of its findings and begin putting in place safeguards to prevent breakdowns not just in the military, but also in any agency that works hand in hand with the military,” the three retired generals added.
Citing the “disturbing number” of soldiers who support Trump and were present at the January 6 Capitol protest, the generals claimed “some might follow orders from the rightful commander in chief, while others might follow the Trumpian loser,” suggesting Trump himself may not even be the Republican candidate.
Why the generals hinting a Republican loss in 2024 is a forgone conclusion is unclear given Biden’s abysmal poll numbers and Democrats’ bleak 2022 midterm outlook.
The op-ed is also revealing when you consider Big Tech and corporate America’s role in subverting the will of the people in the 2020 presidential election, which was laid out in a TIME magazine article titled, “<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://time.com/5936036/secret-2020-election-campaign/" target="_blank">The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election</a>.”
Where’s the military campaign to prevent another actual coup d’état like that?
It’s also been reported that the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.revolver.news/2021/10/meet-ray-epps-the-fed-protected-provocateur-who-appears-to-have-led-the-very-first-1-6-attack-on-the-u-s-capitol/#:~:text=After%20months%20of%20research%2C%20Revolver%E2%80%99s%20investigative%20reporting%20team,very%20first%20illegal%20acts%20on%20that%20fateful%20day." target="_blank">FBI embedded numerous provocateurs into conservative groups to facilitate the crowd breaching the Capitol building</a> on January 6.
Given the events of the rigged 2020 election and beyond – such as the military occupation of the Capitol for months – it’s clear that the Deep State is preparing to neutralize political resistance should the 2024 election be stolen as well via universal mail-in voting and other Democrat initiatives.
Meanwhile, <a href="https://townhall.com/tipsheet/spencerbrown/2021/10/21/ag-garland-debunks-democrat-insurrection-claims-about-january-6th-n2597813" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">none of the 700 people arrested in the January 6 Capitol protest have been charged with staging an “insurrection,”</a> but many still <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2021/10/16/carlson-january-6-protester-sentencing-unequal-justice-by-any-measure-contradicts-the-central-principle-of-our-legal-system/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">languish</a> in solitary confinement despite having committed no violent crime.

Trump went on to list all of Biden’s policy failures, including his botched Afghanistan pullout, radical crime and police reform, and rising inflation.
“They couldn’t get out of Afghanistan without disgracing our Country,” Trump explained. “The economy and inflation are a disaster. They’re letting thugs and murderers into our Country—their DA’s, AG’s, and Dem Law Enforcement are out of control. This is what happens in communist countries and dictatorships, and they don’t think they’ll be held accountable for rigging the 2020 Presidential Election.”
“The Jan. 6 Unselect Committee is a coverup for what took place on November 3rd, and the people of our Country won’t stand for it,” he added.
Trump’s remarks come after it was revealed that Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), one of the January 6 select committee members, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.infowars.com/posts/caught-rep-adam-schiff-doctored-text-messages-in-january-6-committee/" target="_blank">doctored the text messages</a> of Republican officials to bolster the false narrative that Trump planned an “insurrection” at the Capitol.

NY Gov. Hochul Defends COVID Mandates: ‘It’s Not That Big a Deal’

Unelected New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul was forced to defend vaccine and mask mandates amid fierce backlash, claiming they’re “not that big a deal.”
“We think this will avert more people getting sick, and that’s a good news story, and we do hope that everyone really comes around and realizes this is a simple, very minor, uh, intrusion, if you will, if it’s even that,” Hochul said Friday.
“All the children in the state have been wearing masks since the beginning. It’s not that big a deal. It’ll help save lives, keep people healthy, and that’s all we’re asking for. There has been some pushback, but we’re not backing down from this, we think it’s important.”

Maybe it’s because unvaccinated New Yorkers are getting arrested for simply trying to eat at Applebee’s.

Hochul announced the statewide vaccine mandate requiring businesses to impose a mask policy for unvaccinated patrons last week amid a rise in mild Omicron cases, which is scheduled to run through at least Jan. 15.

The flu vaccine is something many of us take for granted. Every year, starting in the early fall, “free flu shot available” signs start to line pharmacies and clinics. But in the US, only around <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/flu/fluvaxview/coverage-1920estimates.htm">half the population</a> actually gets the vaccine. When talking about the flu, many equate it to a terrible cold, inconvenient at worst. But annual strains of influenza are estimated to cause <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6815659/">hundreds of thousands of deaths</a> worldwide. The reality is, we’ve been living with influenza for so long that we often forget just how dangerous it can be.
The reason we need an annual vaccine for the flu in the first place: The virus is particularly <a href="https://globalhealth.duke.edu/news/why-seasonal-flu-evolves-faster-we-can-fight-it">prone to change</a>. That ability to mutate is also what makes it particularly good at causing pandemic-level threats. <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/basics/past-pandemics.html">The last four pandemics</a> before Covid-19 were caused by an influenza virus. Experts warn that <a href="http://www.emro.who.int/pandemic-epidemic-diseases/news/the-next-flu-pandemic-a-matter-of-when-not-if.html">another one is inevitable</a> and that our seasonal flu vaccine isn’t going to stop it.
For 80 years, the way we research and make our annual flu vaccine has remained the same. It’s a costly and timely process that <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/27/health/chicken-egg-flu-vaccine-intl-hnk-scli/index.html">involves predictions and chicken eggs</a>. The result is a seasonal flu vaccine that’s <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/flu/vaccines-work/vaccineeffect.htm">certainly good enough</a>, but we can do better. And now researchers are closer than ever to a big achievement: something like a flu vaccine that remains effective year after year, regardless of the strain. Something that could stop an outbreak before it starts; something like a universal flu vaccine.
