<p><strong>Days after CNN fired Chris Cuomo for abusing his position to help feed information to his sex pest accused brother, it appears that another host, Don Lemon, could become the centre of another journalistic ethics scandal.</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jussie-smollett-testifies-text-cnns-don-lemon-chicago-police-attack-investigation">Reports indicate</a> that Lemon was pinpointed by <em>Empire</em> star Jussie Smollett who claimed in court that he received texts from the CNN host warning him that police believed Smollett had faked his own attack in February 2019.</p>
<p>Smollett was indicted by a grand jury for staging a racist violent attack on himself and blaming it on Trump supporters.</p>
<p>Witnesses inside the courtroom revealed the details of the testimony:</p>

<p><a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10282383/Jussie-Smollett-reveals-CNN-host-Don-Lemon-warned-text-cops-didnt-believe-account.html">The Daily Mail reports</a> that the details about Lemon were stricken from the record, writing “Testifying in court on Monday, Smollett, 39, claimed he had been in contact with CNN’s Don Lemon during the early stages of the CPD investigation.”</p>
<p>The report adds that “In a remark that was presented and then struck from the record, he said things began to seem off when he received a text message from Lemon claiming the Chicago police had reached out to him to say they didn’t believe Smollett. “</p>
<p>Don Lemon discussed the case Monday night on his show with CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez (he who uttered the infamous line “fiery but mostly peaceful protests”) but both failed to mention that Lemon’s own name had been brought up by Smollett during the hearing.</p>

<p>Lemon is already under scrutiny owing to accusations that he sexually assaulted a man in 2018 in a bar in Long Island.</p>
<p>Dustin Hice claims Lemon “vigorously” rubbed his genitalia, then shoved his hand into Hice’s face, while asking if he liked “p***y or d**k.”</p>
<p><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/don-lemon-accuser-predator-protecting-machine-some-accountability-cuomo">Speaking to Fox News</a>, Hice said that CNN was “a predator protecting machine,” adding “They’re a network rife with predators and perverts.”</p>
<p>Referring to Chris Cuomo’s firing, Hice added “Lemon will have to testify under oath in the near future, but it’s good to see that there’s finally some accountability happening.”</p>
<p>Hice also noted that he has turned down settlement officers, stating “They’ve tried to grind me down, they’ve attempted to intimidate witnesses in my case, they’ve released confidential information about me in attempt to doxx me. They are complicit. This is who they are.”</p>

<p>As far as Cuomo goes, he has decided <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/12/06/chris-cuomo-prepping-to-sue-cnn-over-his-reported-6m-a-year-contract/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site%20buttons&utm_campaign=site%20buttons">to attempt to take CNN down with him</a>, suing the network for breach of contract over $18-20 million in lost earnings, and claiming that CNN head Jeff Zucker was completely aware of the information that Cuomo gave his brother, the former New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, regarding his sexual harassment allegations.</p>
<p>CNN responded in a written statement that Cuomo “has made a number of accusations that are patently false,” adding “This reinforces why he was terminated for violating our standards and practices, as well as his lack of candor.”</p>
<p>As <a href="https://summit.news/2021/12/07/video-joe-rogan-blasts-cnn-as-f-ing-propagandists-their-ratings-are-dogs/">Joe Rogan has noted</a>, these propagandists may finally be getting their comeuppance after years of agenda driven bile they have woefully attempted to disguise as legitimate news content.</p>

Jury Finds Jussie Smollett Guilty of Falsely Reporting Fake Hate Crime

<p><strong>A Chicago jury found actor Jussie Smollett guilty Thursday on felony charges of disorderly conduct after he staged a phony hate crime against himself, then proceeded to file a false police report.</strong></p>
<p>Following nearly nine hours of deliberation over two days, the Cook County jury announced it reached its verdict in the case which stemmed from a January 2019 incident where Smollett, 39, falsely claimed he was attacked by two Trump supporters wearing MAGA hats.</p>
<p>Smollett was found guilty on 5 of 6 felony disorderly conduct counts, each carrying a maximum sentence of three years in prison.</p>
<p>Following the announcement, Smollett’s lawyer declared they would appeal the verdict saying, ““We feel 100% confident that this case will be won on appeal.”</p>

<p>“It’s clearly a violation of the law to go to the police and report to police a fake crime and tell police it’s a real crime,” special prosecutor Dan Webb told the jury, according to the <em><a href="https://nypost.com/2021/12/09/jussie-smollett-convicted-of-staging-hate-crime/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">New York Post</a></em>.</p>
<p>“To outright denigrate something as serious, as heinous, as a real hate crime, to denigrate it and then make sure it involved words and symbols that have such horrible historical significance in our country was just plain wrong to do it and he did.”</p>
<p>Prosecutors in the case told jurors Smollett had orchestrated the fake hate crime with the help of two brothers, Abimbola and Olabingo Osundairo, who testified Smollett had paid them $3,500 to help him stage the attack.</p>
<p><em>NBC News</em> <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/verdict-reached-jussie-smollett-case-actor-accused-staging-hoax-hate-c-rcna7906">reports</a> Chicago prosecutors had opted to drop all charges against Smollett in March 2019, “but the actor insisted he wasn’t lying and his team lashed out at police for accusing him of pulling a hoax.”</p>
<p>A lawsuit was launched by the City after Smollett refused to acquiesce to a demand to pay $130,000 for overtime after wasting police resources to investigate the phony hate crime.</p>
<p>Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx also <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://archives.infowars.com/foxx-must-go-chicago-police-union-stages-protest-against-corrupt-smollett-prosecutor/" target="_blank">came under fire</a> for <a href="https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-met-jussie-smollett-controversy-20190404-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dismissing charges against Smollett</a>, prompting a Chicago police union to hold a protest downtown before she recused herself from the case.</p>

<p>After Foxx recused herself, a special prosecutor was assigned to review the way previous prosecutors handled the case.</p>
<p><em>Fox News</em> <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/flashback-kamala-harris-jussie-smollett-an-attempted-modern-day-lynching" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>:</p>

<p><em>Months after the prosecutors dropped the charges with little explanation, a judge appointed a special prosecutor, former U.S. attorney Dan Webb, to look into the original investigation.</em></p>
<p><em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/special-prosecutor-dan-k-webb-of-winston--strawn-llp-announces-new-criminal-charges-against-jussie-smollett-301003303.html" target="_blank">Webb eventually determined</a> that Smollett “planned and participated in a staged hate crime attack, and thereafter made numerous false statements to Chicago Police Department officers on multiple occasions, reporting a heinous hate crime that he, in fact, knew had not occurred.”</em></p>
<p><em>After Webb’s investigation, a Cook County grand jury in February 2020 returned a new six-count indictment charging Smollett with making multiple false reports to Chicago police.</em></p>
<p><em>Smollett <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jussie-smollett-double-jeopardy-claim-tossed-out-judge" target="_blank">pleaded not guilty</a> and his defense team filed a motion to dismiss the latest charges over double-jeopardy, but a judge shot that down in June 2020. Smollett still claimed he did nothing wrong, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://www.tmz.com/2020/02/25/jussie-smollett-truth-defense-not-guilty-new-trial-chicago-hate-crime/" target="_blank">telling TMZ</a> he’s innocent. </em></p>

<p>The <em><a href="https://apnews.com/article/jussie-smollett-trial-chicago-charges-d5f6081f7755b841a878952889d29feb" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AP</a></em> had a breakdown of each of the counts against Smollett and what they represented.</p>

<p><em>Count 1 accuses him of telling responding Chicago Police Officer Muhammed Baig at around 2:45 a.m., some 45 minutes after the purported attack, that he was the victim of a hate crime. He said two attackers put a rope around his neck. Count 2 refers to Smollett telling the same officer he was a victim of a battery, describing attackers beating and pouring bleach on him.</em></p>
<p><em>Counts 3 and 4 are when Smollett made the same claims but to a different officer, Kimberly Murray, later that morning, at just before 6 a.m.</em></p>
<p><em>Count 5 accuses Smollett of again telling Murray at around 7:15 p.m. that he was the victim of a battery. Count 6 refers to Smollett reporting on Feb. 14, 2019, to detective Robert Graves that he’d been a victim of an aggravated battery.</em></p>

<p>The fake incident prompted many politicians to blame racism for the former “Empire” actor’s attack.</p>
<p>Two such politicians, US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, tweeted about Smollett’s fabricated attack on the same day it was alleged to have happened, claiming he was the target of a “modern day lynching” due to the color of his skin.</p>

<p>Smollett faces up to 15 years in prison, however it’s been speculated he could receive a light sentence based on a clean criminal record and the fact there was no actual victim in the crime.</p>

<p><strong>Jamie McBride, head of the LAPD union the Police Protective League, is warning tourists and citizens about the city’s out-of-control crime wave ahead of the holiday season.</strong></p>
<p>During an interview with <em>CBSLA</em> this week, McBride said, “My message to anyone thinking about coming to Los Angeles, especially during the holiday season, is don’t. We can’t guarantee your safety. It is really, really out of control.”</p>
<p>He continued, “I said it to people before, it’s like that movie ‘Purge,’ you know? Instead of 24 hours to commit your crime, these people have 365 days to commit whatever they want.”</p>
<p>A young woman interviewed in the local Los Angeles news report said, “It’s pretty scary walking at night. I genuinely thought it would be a safe area. It turned out not be as safe as I thought. I’m definitely, like, carrying something on me every time I leave the house when it’s dark out.”</p>
<p>McBride, a longtime police detective and LAPD union head, also talked with <em>Fox News</em> this week to provide a professional’s opinion on the state of California’s recent spree of robberies and violent crimes.</p>
<p>“Right now you can literally go out, do whatever you want, commit crimes and you’ll be out faster than the officers can finish the report,” McBride said, describing the results of Democrat-sponsored bail reforms.</p>

<p>“They’re going and getting Rolex watches, they’re smashing jewelry stores, they’re going into Louis Vuitton stores,” he explained. “We need to work on changing these laws back to make it tougher on crime. We need to get rid of these so-called progressive district attorneys, they are advocating for the criminals. It’s almost like it’s shame on you if you’re a victim. It’s like it’s your fault. That’s the way they see it. There’s a lot of cleaning up we need to do, but we need to take back the streets.”</p>
<p>Around $340,000 worth of merchandise was stolen in mob runs around the city during 11 separate incidents over the past month.</p>
<p>Thanks to LA’s no-bail “Covid” policies, all 14 suspects arrested in connection to the thefts <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10285797/What-crime-crisis-Newsom-leaves-California-BOOK-TOUR-smash-grab-spikes.html" target="_blank">were released within hours of being detained</a>, which is surely contributing to the city’s almost 4% increase in robberies this year.</p>
<p>The city of Los Angeles is going the way of several other major cities across America, especially areas with <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-prosecutor-campaign-20180523-story.html" target="_blank">district attorneys</a> put into power with the help of billionaire Democrat donor George Soros.</p>
<p>These Soros-funded district attorneys, like LA’s “woke” DA George Gascon, are allowing criminals to run rampant in what is a Marxist inversion of the American justice system.</p>
<p>The head of a union representing around 1,000 Los Angeles County prosecutors <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10284711/LA-DA-slammed-union-representing-1-000-Cali-prosecutors-silence-smash-grab-looting.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">slammed Gascon earlier this week</a> for doing nothing about the string of burglaries, saying, “He’s created an atmosphere devoid of accountability.”</p>
<p>Despite the wave of smash-and-grab robberies across the state, California Governor Gavin Newsom is in New York this week <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10285797/What-crime-crisis-Newsom-leaves-California-BOOK-TOUR-smash-grab-spikes.html" target="_blank">to promote his latest children’s book.</a></p>

Evidence Emerges For Dark-Matter Free Galaxies

<p><strong>An international team of astronomers led by researchers from the Netherlands has found no trace of dark matter in the galaxy AGC 114905, despite taking detailed measurements over a course of forty hours with state-of-the-art telescopes.</strong></p>
<p>They will present their findings in <em>Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society</em>.</p>
<p>When Pavel Mancera Piña (University of Groningen and ASTRON, the Netherlands) and his colleagues discovered six galaxies with little to no dark matter, they were told “measure again, you’ll see that there will be dark matter around your galaxy.” However, after fourty hours of detailed observations using the Very Large Array (VLA) in New Mexico (United States), the evidence for a dark matter-free galaxy only became stronger.</p>
<p>The galaxy in question, AGC 114905, is about 250 million light-years away. It is classified as an ultra-diffuse dwarf galaxy, with the name ‘dwarf galaxy’ referring to its luminosity and not to its size. The galaxy is about the size of our own Milky Way but contains a thousand times fewer stars. The prevailing idea is that all galaxies, and certainly ultra-diffuse dwarf galaxies, can only exist if they are held together by dark matter.</p>
<p>The researchers collected data on the rotation of gas in AGC 114905 for 40 hours between July and October 2020 using the VLA telescope. Subsequently, they made a graph showing the distance of the gas from the centre of the galaxy on the x-axis and the rotation speed of the gas on the y-axis. This is a standard way to reveal the presence of dark matter. The graph shows that the motions of the gas in AGC 114905 can be completely explained by just normal matter.</p>
<p>“This is, of course, what we thought and hoped for because it confirms our previous measurements,” says Pavel Mancera Piña. “But now the problem remains that the theory predicts that there must be dark matter in AGC 114905, but our observations say there isn’t. In fact, the difference between theory and observation is only getting bigger.”</p>
<p>In their scientific publication, the researchers list the possible explanations for the lack of dark matter one by one. For example, AGC 114905 could have been stripped of dark matter by large nearby galaxies. Mancera Piña: “But there are none. And in the most reputed galaxy formation framework, the so called cold dark matter model, we would have to introduce extreme parameter values that are far beyond the usual range. Also with modified Newtonian dynamics, an alternative theory to cold dark matter, we cannot reproduce the motions of the gas within the galaxy.”</p>
<p>According to the researchers, there is one more assumption that could change their conclusions. That is the estimated angle at which they think they are observing the galaxy. “But that angle has to deviate very much from our estimate before there is room for dark matter again,” says co-author Tom Oosterloo (ASTRON).</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the researchers are examining a second ultra-diffuse dwarf galaxy in detail. If again observe no trace of dark matter in that galaxy, it will make the case for dark matter poor galaxies even stronger.</p>
<p>The research of Mancera Piña and colleagues is not an isolated case. Earlier, for example, the Dutch American Pieter van Dokkum (Yale University, USA) discovered a galaxy with hardly any dark matter. The techniques and measurements of Mancera Piña and colleagues are more robust.</p>
