Why the best aliens are just a little bit human

<p>Becky Chambers is one of the few authors whose every book I gobble up greedily.</p>
<p>The sci-fi writer launched her career in 2012 by <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/beckychambers/the-long-way-to-a-small-angry-planet">raising money on Kickstarter</a>, meant to buy herself the time to focus on finishing her first novel, <a data-cdata="{"rewritten_url":"https://www.amazon.com/Long-Small-Angry-Planet-Wayfarers/dp/0062444131?ascsubtag=[]vx[p]22444284[m]m-placeholder[s]s-placeholder[t]w[c]c-placeholder[r]r-placeholder[d]d-placeholder","subtag_max_length":99,"subtag_delim_length":2,"subtag_key":"ascsubtag","subtag_data":{"ascsubtag":"[]vx[p]22444284[m]m-placeholder[s]s-placeholder[t]w[c]c-placeholder[r]r-placeholder[d]d-placeholder"},"encode_subtag":false}" has-subtag="true" href="https://www.amazon.com/Long-Small-Angry-Planet-Wayfarers/dp/0062444131"><em>The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet</em></a>. which she eventually self-published in 2014.</p>
<p><em>The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet</em> is defined by grounded hopefulness and top-notch space opera pastiche — it captures so many of the reasons I love <em>Star Trek</em> without actually having anything to do with <em>Star Trek</em> — and it soon found a cult fan base. That fan base has grown considerably as Chambers has published three novels set in the same universe as <em>Planet,</em> as well as two unrelated novellas. (The republished edition of <em>Planet</em> and her subsequent books have been published by major sci-fi publishing houses.)</p>
<p>The Wayfarers series is Chambers’s most famous work to date. It even won the Hugo Award, one of the most prestigious sci-fi prizes, for best series in 2019. It centers on a future version of humanity that has found its way into something called the Galactic Commons, a sort of United Nations for the galaxy.</p>
<p>Humans are one of the newer species in the GC, and we’re not particularly beloved. For one thing, other species apparently think we smell bad, a tiny joke Chambers uses to needle the arbitrariness of prejudice. (We smell how we smell, other alien species!) Each of the four novels centers on a different location and set of characters, though some characters with starring roles in one book recur as supporting characters in another.</p>
<p>One major quality that sets Chambers’s work apart is her skill with creating alien species. They’re just alien enough to be unfamiliar but just familiar enough to be approachable. And though Chambers doesn’t have formal science training, both her mother (an astrobiologist) and her wife (an anthropologist) do. The scientific stew that Chambers has been steeped in heavily influences how she thinks about alien cultures and planets.</p>
<p>Perhaps the most compelling quality of Chambers’s books, though, is that they are hopeful without being saccharine. They take place in a future where humanity figured its shit out eventually, but we still destroyed the Earth via climate change. That blend of sorrowful past and more optimistic present is intentional, Chambers says. “Hope cannot exist without pain, without trauma, without scary stuff,” she told me. “It’s the act of believing there’s something better on the other side of this.”</p>

<p><strong>You’re really good at designing non-human species. They’re just recognizable enough for us to be like, “Oh, I understand the emotions and the intellect going on here,” but also just alien enough for us to be like, “That’s really different.”</strong></p>
<p>One of my favorite things to do on any project is invent aliens. I always start with the caveat of: We have to have a point of entry. We have to be able to relate to them on some human level. Do the aliens in Wayfarers resemble anything like what I think actual extraterrestrial life is like? No, of course not. But you have to be able to emotionally connect with them. And I don’t know that we could [immediately do that] with other species out there in the universe that exists.</p>

<p>But from there, we’re gonna get weird. I start with biology first. I look at the physicality. I look at how they are different from us. I always start with a particular trait. For example, the Aeluons, one of the big alien species in Wayfarers, communicate through the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatophore">chromatophore patches</a> on their cheeks. That starts with a real-world inspiration — squid and octopus.</p>
<p>I take that and blow it up to a civilization level. If color is your primary mode of communication, how does that affect your art? How does that affect your architecture, the way you dress, the sorts of technology you have? And how do you relate to other species, especially if they have different ideas about what color means or just use it as a decoration? There’s a million questions you can ask with just that one element. Everything else comes from there.</p>
<p><strong>The intersections of those cultures are so important to your books. On our planet, we all come from different sets of shared assumptions. Even within a single country, there are many different ideas about how the world functions. How do you go about expanding that diversity of culture and the interactions between those cultures to a galactic scale?</strong></p>
<p>I switch between point-of-view characters so often. None of the books have a single voice. So I spend a lot of time thinking about a character’s biases, what things about other species are weird to them. The things that are obvious to one species are not obvious to another.</p>
<p>My wife and I are an international couple. She’s from Iceland. We go back and forth all the time. And so much of dealing with that is navigating those differences. As a society, we tend to focus on big, political differences, but in my personal life, it’s these very small things. What do you have for breakfast? Do we find the same things funny? An argument might start where no one was actually mad. There was just a misunderstanding that was lost in communication. Those things are such an intrinsic part of my experience that it feels very natural to me to code them as alien interactions instead.</p>
<p><strong>Your mom is an astrobiology educator, and your wife is an anthropologist. What have you picked up from them that has leached its way into your work? I realize I am basically asking you, “What have you picked up from being alive?”</strong></p>

<p>Do we have six hours?</p>
<p>From my mom, it would be seeing the beauty in the infinite diversity of evolution, of being able to look at things that are slimy and squeaky and weird. I have a deep affinity for creepy-crawlies, and that comes from my mom. She taught me to see the beauty in things that are different from us. Scientific literacy was a big thing in my upbringing. Even if I wasn’t going to be a scientist, she wanted me to be able to understand it and approach the world that way.</p>
<p>My wife’s background is in historical linguistics, the study of figuring out how people moved around and interacted with each other through analyzing how words changed. She made me think about language in a way I never really considered. Language as a concept holds a reflection of our own values in society and the ways that we perceive the world. Our interactions change the way we speak. That has bled into my work, because so much about what I write about is those sorts of exchanges and the ways that we change by just being around each other, even for a very short time.</p>
<p><strong>On the astrobiology front, there’s this</strong> <a href="https://twitter.com/neiltyson/status/1409579223795355649"><strong>Neil deGrasse Tyson tweet</strong></a> <strong>— I’m annoyed by myself for bringing this up already — that calls out Hollywood for having aliens that aren’t different enough from species here on Earth. I feel like, by definition, if we can’t imagine it, we can’t imagine it.</strong></p>
<p><strong>But in your books and in, say, the movie</strong> <a href="https://www.vox.com/culture/2016/11/11/13587262/arrival-movie-review-amy-adams-denis-villeneuve"><em><strong>Arrival</strong></em></a><strong>, it can be a truly alien species, but humans comprehend it through a lens we’re familiar with — a reptile or a cephalopod or a crustacean. We see that in the world, too. We constantly try to relate to people who aren’t like us through the terms and customs we’re used to, which sometimes causes offense and sometimes builds bridges. How do you think about defining something truly alien?</strong></p>
<p>Trying to imagine the unimaginable completely ignores the needs of storytelling. The type of aliens you create hugely depends on what the point of the story is. A story centers a particular feeling and experience. It’s not there to paint the universe as it exists. It’s impressionism. It’s there to elicit an emotional response. At the end of the day, while I’m trying to paint worlds that feel real, I’m telling a story. The needs of that come first.</p>
<p>I was very careful about what sorts of bodies I give to particular characters. In the first Wayfarers book, <em>The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet</em>, the first alien we meet isn’t that different in a lot of ways. She’s bipedal. She has hands and a face. She can talk to you. Her cultural customs are very different, but we can look at her and compare her to a reptile, something that’s instantly relatable. That was very intentional, because the minute you walked on the ship and met her, she would give the reader a sense of safety and comfort.</p>
<p>Whereas in the last book, [<em>The Galaxy, and the Ground Within</em>], there’s a character who’s a giant lobster centaur man. He’s a lovely person, but his species does elicit a feeling of, “What the hell is that?!” There’s a barrier to entry there.</p>
<p>A lot of choice goes into what I need a character to be and how far I’m going to push the alienness of them. How uncomfortable do I want this experience to be for the reader, and why? Everything is weird and animal and not well understood. We’re just taking pictures of it and trying to figure out what it is. That’s a very different type of story.</p>
<p><strong>Okay, extend that to artificial intelligences, to robots, which in your books grew out of humanity but also need to be different from us.</strong></p>
<p>They are a different category, because they spring from us. I often have the same set of core ideas, which is that if they’re something we made, they would follow a logic we would understand because we wrote the code. Regardless of whether we understand why they gained sentience, we built them for a purpose, and they evolved out of that purpose.</p>
<p>We don’t understand what intelligence or consciousness is. We have it, but we can’t define what it is or why it exists. There are a bazillion books and theories on the topic, but we’re just barely beginning to scratch the surface, and I’m not sure we have the capability to understand those things. I think if a machine wakes up, we’re not going to understand why any more than we understand why we woke up and can perceive the world as we do. I take the human baseline and expand upon it. They do think in ways we don’t understand, because we don’t know how they got there.</p>
<p>I really don’t like the assumption that emotion and logic are opposing forces that are incompatible with each other, where you have androids that cannot do emotions and have a binary code approach to the universe. You often get stories about how a robot begins to feel things and they’re not able to handle it. I feel like that’s so wrong. We have both. We have logic and emotion, and they serve different purposes. They’re both important. Emotion does not taint logic, and logic does not cut you off to the ability to feel things. They’re two sides of the same coin, an intrinsic part of being aware.</p>
<p><strong>Your work so often uses alien species to examine other ways of being human. There’s a species in the Wayfarers series, for instance, where child-rearing is a specific job, and once you have your child, you turn the baby over to the child-rearers. How do you use aliens to illuminate different ways we could think about being human?</strong></p>
<p>One of the great strengths of science fiction is we’re never actually talking about the alien or the other. We’re never talking about the future, either. We’re talking about ourselves, and we’re talking about right now. Going into a science fiction story is a radically vulnerable act because you’re opening yourself up to whatever it is that the writer thinks about how the world works. “I’m going to leave everything else behind. Show me a world that works differently.” You can’t help but bring along baggage, but you do turn yourself into a bit of a blank slate when you walk into sci-fi.</p>
<p>It’s somewhat like traveling to a different country or learning a different language. Any sort of cultural exchange in the real world shifts your perspective on your self. If you start reading about families with different structures and different notions of parenthood in a sci-fi story, it inevitably makes you think about your own ideas about what those things are, your own template of how the world works. And that’s true regardless of whether you look at it and go, “Ooh, that’s cool,” or if you go, “That makes me really uncomfortable.”</p>
<p>In fact, those moments of discomfort can be really valuable! I personally like to look at those moments where I go, “Yuck!” Then I look at where that is coming from. Is that coming from a cultural taboo or a physical difference? Is that knee-jerk thing I’m feeling good or not? There is something very reflective about engaging with things outside of yourself. That makes sci-fi an incredibly valuable tool for being able to pick apart your own biases.</p>

<p><strong>There’s a real trend lately toward escapism and positive stories. I don’t want to judge people for that, but darker stuff tends to scratch my itch. You write really positive stories, though, and I love your work. And I think the thing you do is you write positive stories in worlds where reality is still full of darkness and hard things. And yet the beings in your books are kind to each other, and that feels beautiful amid the darkness and hardship. How do you think about balancing those two tones?</strong></p>
<p>I always preface this by saying: I think that dark is important. Sad stories, tragedies — it’s important that we tell those, both because it’s a matter of personal choice what sort of story you feel like engaging with on a particular day but also because we need cautionary tales. We need to be able to work through our own trauma and our own pain, and sometimes, the best way to do that is just to confront it head-on.</p>
<p>But if the only sorts of futures you tell stories about are dark or scary or dystopian, it can start to breed nihilism after a while. It makes you afraid of the future. Hopeful futures need to exist as a counterpoint. So a big part of why I write is to be the other side of the scale.</p>
<p>In terms of how to balance it within a story itself, it’s important to note that hope doesn’t mean that there’s a happy ending, necessarily, or that everything works out fine. Hope is something you foster in your darkest moments. Hope cannot exist without pain, without trauma, without scary stuff. It’s the act of believing there is something better on the other side of this. Even though I embrace kindness and compassion and cooperation in my stories, bad stuff still happens, because bad stuff happens in the world. The only way you can really talk about hope is to show the bad stuff happening. But then you show what comes after: people healing, people helping each other.</p>
<p>To me, that is more comforting than when everything is sugar-coated, when everything works and everything’s great. We do need escapist comfort food from time to time. But the most comforting stories for me are ones in which something went wrong, but things got better. People got through it not just through their own strength but because of the people propping them up.</p>
<p><strong>Yeah, early in the pandemic last year,</strong> <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/09/well/mind/coronavirus-resilience-psychology-anxiety-stress-volunteering.html"><strong>this study</strong></a> <strong>got passed around that said, contrary to so much post-apocalyptic storytelling, in a crisis, humans help each other. In the wasteland, there would be terrible sociopaths, but the people who survived would most likely band together in small communities. In most of your books, humans made the planet uninhabitable for themselves, but then they figured out a way to keep going. Then the people who kept going built these new social mores around cooperation.</strong></p>
<p><strong>So tell me, Becky Chambers: Do you think the world is doomed, but humanity might be able to pull through?</strong></p>
<p>I don’t think the world is doomed, but we’re in a precarious place right now. We are a social, cooperative species. In 2020, we all had to be alone, yet we found ways to help each other anyway. We need each other. There is no survival for us if we don’t lean on each other.</p>
<p>If we’re going to survive and make sure we’re living in an ecosystem that can support us, the only way forward is to get past the idea that we’re all in it alone. The only way we are going to overcome the challenges we face on a global scale is if we swallow some humble pie and say, “I’m not the main character of this story. I am one of billions of side characters, and there is no main character. All we can do is help each other.” I do not see a future for humanity where we haven’t learned that lesson.</p>

<p><strong>Hundreds of police officers and health workers in Australia have <a href="https://www.theepochtimes.com/australian-police-officers-health-workers-quit-over-vaccine-mandates_4034321.html">quit their jobs</a> due to vaccine mandates issued in two states.</strong></p>
<p>Governments around the world have introduced many restrictions to try “curb the spread” of Covid-19. Many have forced citizens to stay indoors, their homes becoming a prison. However, many governments are now implementing vaccine mandates, which encroach on every citizen’s right to health freedom.</p>
<p>Mandates have now been introduced in New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland, leading health workers and police officers to resign to avoid having to get the jab.</p>
<p>In NSW, an estimated 136 health workers and an unknown number of police officers in Queensland have quit their jobs due to vaccine mandates in their workplace.</p>
<p>NSW announced earlier this year that health workers in the state should get at least one dose of the Covid vaccine by September 30th. Since then, 1,200 workers have been suspended and put on paid leave, which will expire after two weeks.</p>
<p>The health union is not surprised, claiming that the loss of employees is “negligible” compared to at least 140,000 employees in the state’s health sector. The government also expects there to be more resignations.</p>
<p>Some NSW regional hospitals are also <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/sep/22/nsw-recruiting-nurses-from-interstate-and-overseas-to-cope-with-rising-covid-cases-in-hospitals" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">offering applicants travel and pay incentives</a> to get the vaccine. Reports indicate that the state’s health department is in discussions with the commonwealth about expediting the credentialing of overseas qualifications to hire foreign nurses, particularly intensive care and emergency department nurses who are in high demand because of the pandemic.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/vaccination/requirements-for-workers" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">The NSW government website</a> states that health workers should have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine before they can work. From November 30th, health care workers must have had both doses of the jab, unless they have a medical exemption that has been approved by NSW Health.</p>
<p>Similarly, in Queensland, police officers have also resigned due to the October 4th deadline for staff to have at least one dose of a Covid jab.</p>
<p>Steve Gollschewski, the state’s deputy commissioner, said that on October 5th, the total number of those who resigned might be fewer than 100 out of the state’s 15,000 police officers. While the total figure changes on a daily basis, Gollschewski said the “numbers are low.”</p>
<p>He said that it’s expected that some officers will refuse to get vaccinated and that the state will be dealing with those who do not comply.</p>
<p>Gollschewski refuses to reveal the total number of officers who resigned, but insists that it is just “a handful per district across the state.” He said that a more accurate number may be available towards the end of the week.</p>
<p>On October 4th, the Queensland Police Service (QPS) announced that it is checking to see who among its members are refusing to get vaccinated.</p>
<p>QPS said that those who don’t want to get the jab “may need to face disciplinary action” if they don’t have an approved exemption. In a statement, the QPS said that from October, officers who refuse inoculation without an exemption “ill be suspended from duty with pay with a seven-day Notice to Show Cause process commenced.”</p>
<p>However, a group of seven officers led a <a href="https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/queensland-police-quit-rather-than-get-the-jab-20211005-p58xdi.html" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">legal challenge against Queensland Police Commissioner</a> Katarina Carroll over the vaccine mandate in the Supreme Court in early October.</p>
<p>The officers, who are currently on stress leave, won the challenge, which has granted them a 12-day delay to the mandate. Despite the win, the seven officers still need further exemptions to continue their careers.</p>
<p><strong>The mandates have led to many Australians resisting and attending protests against the government, fighting for their right to health freedom.</strong></p>

<p>Does it say to you that “the Covid-19 vaccines and lockdown restrictions clearly do not work”? Because if it doesn’t, then it should.</p>
<p>Just look at the following data published by the Victorian Government in Australia, and as you do bear in mind they imposed their 6th Draconian lockdown on the 5th August 2021 in response to just 6 confirmed Cases of Covid-19 on the same day…</p>
<p>On 5 August 2021, in response to the detection of six new community cases, the Victorian Government announced their sixth lockdown, commencing that evening at 8 pm for seven days.</p>
<p>On 11 August the lockdown was extended for 7 days. This followed the state having 20 new cases, 5 with an unknown source.</p>
<p>On 16 August the lockdown was extended for another 14 days, with the overnight curfew reinstated and a target end date of 2 September.</p>
<p>On 19 August, Melbourne marked 200 days of lockdowns since the beginning of the pandemic.</p>
<p>On 4 October, Melbourne marked 245 days of lockdowns and became the city with the longest cumulative time in lockdown in the world.</p>
<p>If you still can’t see from the above that lockdowns and Covid-19 vaccines clearly do not work, then what if we also told you that data published by the UK Health Security Agency in the UK shows that the Covid-19 vaccines have a negative efficacy?</p>
<p>Would that convince you?</p>

Most Covid-19 Deaths were a direct result of the administration of Midazolam or Remdesivir – By Dr Mike Yeadon

<p><strong>I often see Dr Anthony Fauci on TV or quoted in newspapers. So it seemed a good moment to outline the part of the story that I know about.</strong></p>
<p class="has-custom-font"><em>By Dr Mike Yeadon</em></p>
<p>Fauci is a ghastly inhuman person. Watch Cary Mullis’ last interviews. Scientifically, he drew a bead on Saint Fauci over the AIDS scandal. AZT (Wellcome) was a toxic drug from anti-cancer & immunosuppression research, being an analogue of the bases used in genetics.</p>
<p>I recall being very surprised that it’s clinical safety profile was adequate to permit dosing in HIV/AIDS. I was a young post-doc, coincidently newly hired to research in Wellcome & watched it gain approval. I had lots of trust in institutions then. </p>
<p>Turns out that many American & European gay men were killed by this wretched drug (not so much of a surprise now) and billions were made, and I’m sure relationships were formed between Fauci, certain drug companies & regulators, which stood in profitable stead over subsequent decades.</p>
<p>The PCR test for viruses was a huge turning point. Mullis repeatedly stated that it isn’t an appropriate technique for diagnostics. I think it could be, under carefully calibrated conditions. But it certainly is not, used as it is around the world to diagnose Covid-19.</p>
<p>Fauci <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/09/02/remdesivir-causes-renal-failure-hospital-protocols-are-killing-people/">slid remdesivir into treatment guidelines</a></span> almost, it seems, based on his say so.</p>
<p>He hadn’t treated patients for decades if he ever did.</p>
<p><span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/09/02/remdesivir-causes-renal-failure-hospital-protocols-are-killing-people/">Remdesivir as ‘standard of care’ for Covid-19 resulted in huge numbers of avoidable deaths.</a></span> How it is that medics appear not to know the characteristic toxicity (which includes renal function declines) & just put their patients on this stuff? I don’t know.</p>
<p>I’ve personally intervened in at least three cases where remdesivir had been started in patients hospitalised with Covid-19. </p>
<p>I’m not a medic so my approach has been to recommend the anxious relative demand an immediate second opinion. They’re all alive. One is the husband of a friend of my sister’s.</p>
<p>Note also that respiratory viral illness isn’t obstructive. Patients can become distressed if their gas exchange is poor & they’re desaturating. But they don’t need mechanical ventilation coupled with sedation. Instead, an oxygen mask or nasal cannula will often help a lot, and if it doesn’t, your patient may be unsalvageable. </p>
<p>In U.K. the early default was sedation with <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/">excessive doses of midazolam</a></span> & ventilation. Very few people lived through that.</p>
<p>The U.K. Department of Health had <a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/">purchased a two years sup<span>ply of midazolam</span></a> in spring 2020. The NHS had also stockpiled a years supply by hugely reducing prescriptions for it in 2018-19. </p>
<p>So during the Great Panic of spring 2020, they found it appropriate to burn through <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/">3 years supply of midazolam</a></span>.</p>
<p>Dodging protocols. they administered 10 times the usual dose. No wonder so many elderly men died.</p>
<p>Do you recall the debates in U.K. parliament about <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/">whether the NHS had enough syringe drivers</a></span>? These were needed to administer the fatal & inappropriate medications.</p>
<p>So the PCR test was intrinsically unsuitable as a diagnostic and was used to over diagnose “Covid-19”. Whilst most subsequent deaths were either in people whose imminent death wasn’t a surprise (age + pre-existing chronic illnesses) or occurred <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/06/13/stay-at-home-protect-the-nhs-give-midazolam-to-the-elderly-and-tell-you-they-are-covid-deaths/">directly as a result of hopelessly inadequate medical interventions & drug treatments</a></span>.</p>
<p>Virtually none died SOLELY because of infection with this virus. Many were murdered or at least due to unthinking medics “only following orders”.</p>
<p>Fauci was part of the suppression of emerging, effective pharmacological treatments like hydroxychloroquine & ivermectin.</p>
<p>How died he come to wield such power?</p>
<p>Money.</p>
<p>As director of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIAID) his external budget was for Research.</p>
<p>Over time, Fauci became gatekeeper to huge sums which could make or break institutions in the US university estate.</p>
<p>That’s why very few speak out, such as Dr Peter McCullough. He’s lost everything except his medical license. </p>
<p>All major corporates especially the media, tech titans, financial services & pharmaceuticals, are in on what’s happening even if they’re no real insights into why it’s happening.</p>
<p>Obviously some actors do have excellent knowledge of what’s happened and is due to happen. Pharma made these fraudulent gene-based “vaccines” and cheated their way across the regulatory agencies to obtain Emergency Use Authorisations.</p>
<p>Fear mongering, lies, induction of a mass psychosis in most populations, coupled with long drawn-out “measures”, especially masks, primed huge proportions of the population to line up to receive their “vaccinations”. </p>
<p>Despite being horribly injurious & killing scores of thousands in the USA alone, they’re closing in on herding us onto a vaccine passport platform.</p>
<p>Many have worked out that vaccine mandates are absurd, since most people aren’t at risk from this virus, but they’ve no idea why.</p>
<p>A small number of us understand that this is about control & that if a Vaccine Passport is required to buy food, humans will have surrendered their freedoms, forever.</p>
<p>We’ll be required to line up for regular injections in order to retain any access to our old normal lives,</p>
<p>Ask yourself, is this the future you want for your children & grandchildren?</p>
<p>If you don’t, then I make this sincere request of you:</p>
<p><strong>If unvaccinated, NEVER comply with their demands that you get vaccinated.</strong></p>
<p><strong>If vaccinated, I hope you do not experience adverse events. But if offered back some of your freedoms in exchange for your compliance with a Vaccine Passport scheme wherever you are, DO NOT COMPLY.</strong></p>
<p>Whatever they’re up to, it’s completely illogical to mandate an experimental treatment that’s unable to prevent transmission of a virus that’s no threat to most people. </p>
<p>If we can prevent the establishment of a common Digital ID, aka vaccine passports aka VaxPass, the perpetrators can smash the economy but they won’t own or control us.</p>
<p>Please accept the pain & considerable inconvenience of NON COMPLIANCE.</p>

<p><strong>As predicted, and sure enough labelled “just another conspiracy theory” at the time, those who came forward to “play their part” and help the country “get back to normal” by “rolling up their sleeves” and getting the Covid-19 injection “when called upon to do so” have now discovered that “normal” is just a carrot that will forever be dangled in front of them just ever so slightly out of reach, and are now beginning their endless cycle of Covid-19 booster shots.</strong></p>
<p>Although the authorities won’t officially admit it, it turns out the Covid-19 injections only work for a couple of months, at which point alleged immunity begins to decline. This is of course evident by the numbers seen in the latest UK Health Security Agency Report which reveal that the Covid-19 injections currently have negative effectiveness as low as minus-eighty-eight-percent in everyone over the age of 30, suggesting they are actually destroying the immune systems of the recipients.</p>
<p>Which is why the elderly, vulnerable, and health and social care staff are currently being offered a “booster” shot of mainly the experimental Pfizer mRNA injection, with everyone over the age of 50 in the queue waiting to be called upon to “do their duty”.</p>
<p>Reports state that as of October 9th 2021, over two million people in England have now had their third Covid-19 vaccine dose out of the 30 million eligible.</p>
<p>But there is another infectious virus which everyone seems to have forgotten ever existed, and judging by the official figures published by the World Health Organisation, had been completely eradicated in 2020.</p>
<p>That infectious virus is Influenza, and its eradication last year of course has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the Covid-19 PCR test is unable to distinguish between the alleged Covid-19 virus and Influenza virus.</p>
<p>But the rumour is that the Flu is going to return this winter with a vengeance, so the UK Government has extended its offer of a free Flu jab to over 40 million Brits, including all school children up to the age of 16.</p>
<p>So, after spending 2020 being the National Covid-19 Service, and then 10 long months of this year being the National Vaccination Service, the NHS has decided to continue to concentrate on injecting chemicals into the arms of millions, rather than clearing the backlog of at least 5 million patients waiting for urgent treatment for all those other ailments that we seem to have forgotten even existed since March 2020.</p>
<p>But to do this they of course need to save time, so it has been decided that the influenza vaccine and Covid-19 vaccines can be administered in the the same session, with one shot in each arm.</p>
<p>The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (which was recently overruled by Chris Whitty after they had decided the risks of giving an experimental Covid-19 injection to children did not outweigh the benefits), announced on the 14th September that a Covid-19 booster vaccine campaign should commence imminently to care home residents, all adults over 50, frontline health and social care workers, and those aged 16-49 with underlying health conditions.</p>
<p>They also stated that “where operationally expedient, Covid-19 and Influenza vaccines may be co-administered”.</p>
<p>A recent ITV News article also informed the public that they may be offered a Covid-19 jab in one arm and the flu vaccine in the other on the same day.</p>
<p>As did an article from The Independent which stated that “Yes, you can get the shots in the same visit”, in answer to the question of whether a person can get the flu and Covid-19 vaccines at the same time?</p>
<p>But is there any evidence that this is safe?</p>
<p>As we know there is no long-term safety data on the Covid-19 vaccines, let alone data on whether or not it can be administered alongside the flu jab. Which is why it’s interesting to find a list of contra-indications for the Pfizer mRNA Covid-19 injection shows that 269 drugs are known to interact with the Covid-19 vaccine, 268 of which are “moderately clinically significant”, meaning combinations should usually be avoided except for under “special circumstances.</p>

<p>The full list can be found on <span><a href="https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/sars-cov-2-mrna-tozinameran-vaccine,pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine-index.html">Drugs.com</a></span>, a site that “provides accurate and independent information on more than 24,000 prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines and natural products.” and complies with the <a href="https://www.hon.ch/HONcode/Conduct.html?HONConduct756274">HONcode standard for trustworthy health information.</a></p>
<p>To our surprise (not), we discovered that several of the drugs listed as moderately clinically significant as interactions with the Pfizer vaccine, are all of the different flu jabs, the ones currently being administered in the right arms of the elderly and vulnerable whilst they receive a dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 injection in the other.</p>

<p>The description for the interaction between the flu shot and Pfizer Covid-19 injection states that “the safety and effectiveness of SARS-CoV-2-mRNA (Pfizer) vaccine given at the same time with another vaccine or within a show period of each other have not been studied.” and that advice should be sought from a doctor.</p>

<p>It’s also interesting to note that for many of the other drugs listed as contraindications to the Pfizer jab such as budesonide, a drug that is available as an inhaler to treat asthma, the official advise states that “if you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with budesonide, you should let your doctor know before receiving SARS-CoV-2-mRNA (Pfizer) vaccine”.</p>
<p>Approximately 8 million people in the UK suffer from asthma. How many of those do you think were asked if they were taking budesonide to treat it prior to receiving a shot in the arm from Mary “Twenty jabs a minute” Taylor? Who was trained how to administer a vaccine after watching a five minute video on Youtube that had the official NHS logo.</p>
<p>The answer of course will be very little.</p>
<p>The point is that people have been experimented on throughout 2021 with a “vaccine” that does not conclude clinical trials until 2023, and very little effort has been made to explain the actual risks and retrieve proper informed consent.</p>
<p>And now they are continuing to experiment on the public by offering them a Covid-19 vaccine in one arm and a Flu jab in the other, when official data clearly shows that there is no clinical data to support this.</p>
<p>Except there is, sort of.</p>
<p>A recent study conducted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is being used to justify the safety of the decision to administer the COVID and Flu shot at the same time. However, closer inspection confirms that the study is only a pre-print and has not yet been peer-reviewed. In fact, the study was so quick to go to print that half the data is missing.</p>
<p>But we did find something interesting in the pre-print results of the study on administering both shots at the same time. The authors state that “of the 254 participants reporting one of more systemic reaction in the concomitant Covid-19 and influenza vaccine group, 14 reported at least one severe adverse reaction (5.4%), compared to 6 out of 239 participants in the Covid-19 vaccine alone group (2.5%).</p>
<p>For context just 679 participants took part in the study, with 340 in the Flu and Covid jab group, and 339 in the Covid-19 jab only group.</p>
<p>But what this pre-print study actually shows is that the rate of severe adverse reactions is 116% higher in the group who had both the flu jab and Covid-19 jab, compared to the group who only had the Covid-19 jab. How is this not a serious cause for concern?</p>
<p>Plus, if we translate those figures into the real world where 40 million Brits are being offered the flu jab, and 30 million are being offered a Covid-19 booster shot, meaning 30 million people could potentially be given both jabs at the same time, we could see as many as 162,000 people suffering an extremely serious adverse reaction.</p>
<p>There isn’t any clinical data to prove that the Covid-19 vaccine and Influenza vaccine being administered at the same time is safe. In fact, the only data available, which is a pre-print study, proves quite the opposite.</p>
<p>So make no mistake, the people coming forward to “play their part” and help the country “get back to normal” by “rolling up their sleeves” and getting the Covid-19 injection and Flu jab “when called upon to do so” are taking part in a real life experiment, and a dangerous one at that.</p>

<p>Facebook Inc's oversight board, a body set up by the social network to give independent verdicts on a small number of thorny content decisions, said on Monday it would meet with former employee and whistleblower Frances Haugen in the coming weeks.</p>
<p>Haugen revealed last week she was the person who provided documents used in a Wall Street Journal investigation and a Senate hearing on Instagram's harm to teenage girls.</p>
