Judge in New York Temporarily Halts State’s Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate

This decision comes after a <a href="https://thomasmoresociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Verified-Complaint-and-Exhibits-Dr.-A.-et-al.-v.-Hochul-et-al.-Filed-Version.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">group of 17 healthcare professionals sued the state of New York</a> to enjoin the enforcement of its unconstitutional jab mandate.</strong></p> <p>On August 28th, the state issued its vaccine mandate requiring all healthcare workers in hospitals and care homes to get at least one dose of the vaccine by September 27th. This mandate does not recognise religious exemptions to vaccinations.</p> <p>The 17 healthcare workers who sued the state believe that a lack of exemption attempts to nullify protections for sincere religious beliefs granted under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.</p> <p>The lawsuit states: “The same frontline healthcare workers hailed as heroes by the media for treating COVID patients before vaccines were available, including the plaintiffs herein, are now vilified by the same media as pariahs who must be excluded from society until they are vaccinated against their will.”</p> <p>The lack of exemptions for this vaccine mandate contrasts the protections for religious beliefs the state of New York provided in its prior health order.</p> <p>Attorney Christopher Ferrara, of the Thomas More Society, said: “What New York is attempting to do is slam shut an escape hatch from an unconstitutional vaccine mandate. They are doing this while, knowing that many people have sincere religious objections to vaccines that were tested, developed, or produced with cell lines derived from aborted children.”</p> <p>Ferrara is representing the health workers in the federal case against the state, along with Thomas More Society Vice President and Senior Counsel Peter Breen, Senior Counsel Stephen Crampton, and Counsel Michael McHale.</p> <p>New York has no right to nullify federal anti-discrimination law, Ferrara pointed out.</p> <p>“This is a brazen power grab by people who think they can get away with anything,” the attorney said.</p> <p>Along with citing violations to the Constitution, the lawsuit alleges that the lack of exemptions for people with sincerely held religious beliefs is also a violation of the New York State Human Rights Law and the New York City Human Rights Law.</p> <p>The medical professionals involved in the lawsuit – including doctors, nurses, a medical technician and physician’s liaison – are now facing termination from employment, loss of hospital admitting privileges, and the destruction of their careers, unless they agree to be vaccinated with jabs that contradict their religious beliefs.</p> <p>Attorney Ferrara said: “Never in the history of New York state, never in the history of the world, has a government sought to forcibly impose mass vaccination on an entire class of people under threat of immediate personal and professional destruction.</p> <p>“This is just another example of how COVID regimes are completely out of control. The federal judiciary has a duty under the Constitution to put a straight jacket on this institutional insanity.”</p> <p>Ferrara added that the healthcare workers suing the state are “not anti-vaxxers” despite what the “fake news” calls them. “They are in fact in favour of voluntary vaccination with informed consent, but they oppose jack-booted coercion by the state to take a vaccine their religion forbids them to take. This is America, not Red China,” Ferrara added.</p> <p>The medical professionals filing the complaint are doing so <a data-id="https://thomasmoresociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Memorandum-in-Support-Dr.-A.-et-al.-v.-Hochul-et-al.-Filed-Version.pdf" data-type="URL" href="https://thomasmoresociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Memorandum-in-Support-Dr.-A.-et-al.-v.-Hochul-et-al.-Filed-Version.pdf" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">under pseudonyms</a> because of what Ferrara called, “the fear and loathing of the unvaccinated and the hysteria that surrounds vaccine mania.”</p> <p>Judge David N. Hurd of the District Court for the Northern District of New York ruled in favour of the plaintiffs and issued an order temporarily blocking the state from enforcing its vaccine mandate.</p> <p>Hurd then gave the state until Sept. 22nd to respond to the lawsuit in federal court. If the state opposes the request of the plaintiffs for a preliminary court order blocking the vaccine mandate, an oral hearing will be held on Sept. 28th to decide the matter.</p> <p><strong>Attorney Ferrara said: “Without court intervention, these health professionals face loss of occupation, professional status and employability anywhere in the state of New York.”</strong></p> <div 16-Year-Old Who Developed Neurological Symptoms After Pfizer Vaccine: ‘I Just Want My Life Back’

<div class="wp-block-image"> <figure class="aligncenter is-resized"><img alt="Sarah Green was a healthy 16-year-old — until she developed neurological problems after getting Pfizer’s COVID vaccine." data-recalc-dims="1" height="332" loading="lazy" src="https://i0.wp.com/childrenshealthdefense.org/wp-content/uploads/Sarah-Green-Covid-vaccine-injury-feature-800x417.jpg?resize=639%2C332&ssl=1" width="639" /> <figcaption>Sarah Green, 16, has developed tremors and crippling migraines after she received a dose of the Pfizer vaccine.</figcaption> </figure> </div> <p><strong>A 16-year-old girl developed neurological problems after she received Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine, however, doctors have said that her new tremors, tics and severe migraines cannot possibly be caused by the jab.</strong></p> <p>In an interview with <a href="https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">The Defender</a>, Sarah Green and her mother, Marie, said that they now feel helpless and nobody will acknowledge Sarah’s vaccine injury and “nobody can help them.”</p> <p>On May 4th, Sarah got her second dose of the Pfizer jab where she immediately began experiencing a headache at the base of her neck which radiated to her temples. Sarah said that she felt like she got “hit by a bus” and took a nap in hopes that she could sleep it off.</p> <p>Sadly, the headaches continued even after she awoke and gradually, over the course of three weeks, Sarah developed small facial twitches.</p> <p>Sarah said: “The night of May 23rd, I went to my dad because my neck had started twitching every 15 seconds.”</p> <p>Her mother said that Sarah would start a word and it was as if her brain would reset. “It wasn’t like she was trying to get a word out – it would just start over.”</p> <p>Sarah’s symptoms continued to get worse, so her family took her to Johnston Health in Smithfield, North Carolina. Doctors noted that Sarah had constant tremors, and one physician noticed that Sarah’s right foot also had a tremor, but they didn’t have a paediatric neurologist, so she was transferred to WakeMed in Raleigh once she stabilised.</p> <p>The 16-year-old had an EEG, MRI with and without contrast, and CT scans taken, which all came back normal. After two days, the doctors said Sarah had a nervous twitch and should seek help from a mental health professional.</p> <p>However, when the MRI with contrast was taken, Sarah’s mother said that she stopped breathing and had to be pulled out of the machine and intubated. Two hours later the doctor said that they were going to send Sarah home.</p> <p>“They weren’t even going to refer her to a neurologist,” Marie Green said. “They said it was just a nervous tick and she needed to see a therapist.”</p> <p>Initially, Sarah’s family didn’t think that the vaccine was linked to her new symptoms, however, they began to question the possibility when the hospital had her fill out a form of thing that might have changed and “when it came down to it, the only thing that changed was the vaccine.”</p> <p>When Green asked the doctor if the vaccine could have been responsible for Sarah’s condition, he got very defensive and said: “We can’t blame everything on the vaccine.”</p> <p>Green said that the doctor’s response was frustrating. “How can you say you don’t know what it is but say the vaccine isn’t the cause?” she asked.</p> <p>She said that “As soon as we said it was the vaccine, it was like they couldn’t get us out there fast enough.”</p> <p>On June 6th, Sarah’s family finally got her in to see a neurologist, where they asked whether the symptoms could be related to the jab.</p> <p>However, the doctor said that Sarah had functional movement disorder and it was not related in any way to the vaccine. Although, the doctor remarked that she has seen more cases since Covid vaccines were approved because people “stress themselves out over the vaccine and it’s psychosomatic.”</p> <p><a href="https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/fnd/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Functional movement disorder</a> is a type of functional neurological disorder that occurs when there is a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and how the brain and body sends and/or receives signals.</p> <p>The condition can cause a variety of symptoms including tremors, dystonia, jerky movements (myoclonus) and problems walking (gait disorder).</p> <p>Sarah’s mother didn’t agree with the doctor’s conclusion that her daughter’s condition was “psychosomatic.”</p> <p>“Sarah is 16. She was nervous about getting a needle in her arm, but once she got the vaccine she slapped a bandaid on it and went off to Starbucks,” Green said.</p> <p>“When I tried to explain that to her neurologist, she said that I needed to stop focusing on what caused it and focus on getting my daughter well.</p> <p>“But I felt like if we didn’t know why, we wouldn’t be able to treat her the right way.”</p> <p>Sarah got the vaccine on her own because, in North Carolina, she could get the vaccine without parental consent.</p> <p>“She works in fast food and on the frontline and they were told the vaccine would be mandated. Krispy Kreme was giving out a dozen doughnuts, so the kids went and got their shots.”</p> <p>Neither Marie Green nor her husband got a Covid vaccine. When Sarah said she wanted to get it, Green explained her and her husband’s reservations and why they were choosing not to get the jab.</p> <p>“We have been asked many times why she got it and we didn’t. She did come to us and tell us she wanted to, but we did not know she had made up her mind. We had a discussion about it, but her job and the free incentives that I feel were targeted towards young people — Krispy Kreme offered them a dozen free doughnuts — really swayed her decision.”</p> <p>Sarah was aware of the risks of getting a vaccine including having a sore arm for a few days, however, it has now been months and she is still suffering.</p> <p>Due to her ongoing symptoms, Sarah had to drop two college classes this semester. “She had just started driving but she cannot drive anymore because she can’t look up or turn her head to the right without it causing spastic tremors. She also can’t write,” Green said. “She has constant tremors like someone who has Parkinson’s disease.”</p> <p>Over time, Sarah’s symptoms have gotten progressively worse, but the only treatment option recommended to her was a medication similar to Benadryl.</p> <p>Marie Green said: “It’s so frustrating. We tried to get her into a hospital in Florida but there is a six-month waiting list. We called Cleveland but they have a three-month waiting list. We have called the Shriners hospital and they won’t even see her.</p> <p>“We had an appointment at Duke but it was going to be on a video conference. We just keep getting doors slammed in our faces and the minute you mention a vaccine they don’t want to deal with you anymore.”</p> <p>Green said she and Sarah are not anti-vaxxers as Sarah has received all of her jabs.</p> <p>“There are too many people having problems for them not to know there’s no problem with these mRNAs. If they would just acknowledge the potential side effects … but they’re acting like it’s not even happening, and it’s not fair to her and for her entire life to be put on hold.”</p> <p>The family have reported Sarah’s vaccine injury to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (I.D. <a href="https://medalerts.org/vaersdb/findfield.php?IDNUMBER=1354500" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">1354500</a>) and Pfizer.</p> <p>“When I called Pfizer they just had me answer some questions and said if there were new symptoms to call back and they could update their report. When I called back a second time they said they lost the report. When I asked if anyone else had called with the same symptoms they said ‘no.’”</p> <p>Green said that before her getting vaccinated, Sarah was healthy and living her best life. Green is now incredibly concerned about children 12 and under getting the vaccine. “Just acknowledge the problem and fix it, but at least inform people what to look for,” she said.</p> <p>Sarah said: “I just want my life back. Everything has just been put on hold. I had to drop my college classes because I can’t write and I have doctor appointments. I was going out with my friends, but now it’s exhausting. My migraines are so bad I have to sit in a dark room with no light or device and sit for hours.”</p> <p><strong>Sarah’s mother said that she feels guilty for not researching the vaccine and its Something which is supported by ONS data found <strong><span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/09/15/30k-people-died-within-21-days-of-having-a-covid-19-vaccine-in-england/">here</a></span></strong>, in which they unintentionally revealed that from January 2nd 2021 to July 2nd 2021 over 30,000 people died within 21 days of getting the Covid-19 injection.</p> <p>We have already listed 13 reasons why parents should not allow their children to get the Covid-19 vaccine in an article released Tuesday September 14th following the announcement by Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical Officer for England, to recommend all children over the age of 12 are offered the Pfizer Covid-19 injection. These include 68 cases of immune thromocytopenia and 174 cases of thrombocytopenia, resulting in 1 death. Thrombocytopenia is where the body has a low level of platelets in the blood. Severe forms of this ailment can lead to bleeding spontaneously from the eyes, gums, or bladder and can result in death.</p> <div class="wp-block-image"> <figure class="aligncenter size-large Anaphylaxis is potentially life-threatening reactio. It causes the immune system to release chemicals that flood the body. Blood pressure suddenly drops and airways narrow, blocking normal breathing. This condition is dangerous. that have been reported to the MHRA Yellow Card scheme, and there can be no doubt that they will be seen in children. We know this because the <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/05/30/shocking-86-of-children-suffered-an-adverse-reaction-to-the-pfizer-covid-vaccine-in-clinical-trial/">Pfizer clinical trial</a></span> on children aged 12 and over found that <span><a href="https://theexpose.uk/2021/05/30/shocking-86-of-children-suffered-an-adverse-reaction-to-the-pfizer-covid-vaccine-in-clinical-trial/">86% of children suffered an adverse reaction</a></span> to the Pfizer jab and <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/meetings/downloads/slides-2021-05-12/03-COVID-Wallace-508.pdf"><span>1 in 9 children suffered a serious adverse reaction</span></a> leaving them unable to perform daily activities.</p> <p>There are over 3 million children between the ages of 12 and 15 in the UK which means if every single one of them was to have the Pfizer jab, 2,580,000 could suffer an adverse reaction, and 333,333 could suffer a serious adverse reaction leaving them unable to perform daily activities.</p> <p>For context, according to <span><a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-daily-deaths/weekly-total-archive/">official NHS data</a></span> just 9 people under the age of 19 have died of Covid-19 <div class="ins_instory_dv"> <div class="ins_instory_dv_cont"><img alt="End Of 'Merkron': European Union's Power Couple Prepares To Bow Out" src="https://i.ndtvimg.com/i/2017-07/angela-merkel-emmanuel-macron-reuters_650x400_61500121986.jpg" title="End Of 'Merkron': European Union's Power Couple Prepares To Bow Out" /></div> <p class="ins_instory_dv_caption sp_b">Emmanuel Macron, 24 years her junior, has never hidden his admiration for Angela Merkel's longevity.</p> </div> <b class="place_cont">Paris, France:</b> <p>French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Angela Merkel in Paris on Thursday for the last time before the German chancellor stands down, spelling the end of a partnership at the heart of the European Union for the last four years.</p> <p>Merkel is to relinquish power after German elections on September 26, bringing an end to her 16 years in office that has seen her work with four different French leaders starting with Jacques Chirac.</p> <p>Macron, 24 years her junior, has never hidden his admiration for Merkel's longevity, but his sometimes abrasive style and pro-European activism has contrasted with the more cautious approach of his German partner.</p> <p>In 2019, during a rough patch in ties, Merkel admitted the pair "wrestle with each other" and had "differences in mentality", leading Macron to declare that he believed in "productive confrontation".</p> <p>"They have very different styles," said Alexandre Robinet-Borgomano, an expert on Germany at the French think-tank the Montaigne Institute.</p> <p>"The chancellor is someone who takes her time, is always looking for compromises, whereas the president is a disruptor, who is prepared to make bold statements about problems he feels are being ignored," he said.</p> <p>But EU watchers say the two have managed to form an ultimately effective version of the fabled "Franco-German" locomotive that drives the 27-nation European Union.</p> <p>"Despite their big differences, their cooperation has worked well," Pawel Tokarski from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in Berlin told AFP.</p> <p>And as they spoke to reporters at the Elysee palace before their last scheduled working dinner Thursday, the two leaders were all smiles and charm.</p> <p>Merkel responded to Macron's "My dear Angela" with "My dear Emmanuel", as they addressed each other with the familiar "Du" and "Tu".</p> <p>Dinner conversation topics were to range from Afghanistan, climate change and relations with China to EU policy, Merkel said.</p> <p>"I have no fear of being bored," she said of the evening ahead.</p> <p><strong>Wrangling</strong></p> <p>During their time together, the "Merkron" tandem managed crises from Britain's departure from the European Union and Donald Trump's norm-shredding US presidency to the Covid-19 pandemic.</p> <p>There were differences and friction along the way -- over EU economic policy, Russian gas, Brexit and arms sales -- which were thrashed out in regular phone calls and meetings.</p> <p>"They are very different, but they both have a methodical character," Europe Minister Clement Beaune, who has witnessed the pair up close since 2017, told AFP. </p> <p>They also shared moments of genuine public affection, including at the 2018 ceremony to mark 100 years since the armistice that ended World War I, where they held each other in a symbolic embrace.</p> <p>- EU success - <br /> All Franco-German partnerships in Europe are judged by the standards of their illustrious forerunners, from Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer in the post-war era to Francois Mitterrand and Helmut Kohl in the 1980s.</p> <p>The most significant moment in the Macron-Merkel era came at a gruelling EU summit in July last year when the bloc agreed for the first time to borrow money collectively -- a major step that Germany had long resisted.</p> <p>Recognising the damage wrought by Covid-19 on the EU economy, Merkel and Macron were the architects of a deal that will see the EU raise 800 billion euros ($950 billion) to be spent around the bloc on infrastructure and new technology.</p> <p>French officials were jubilant that the pair had succeeded in advancing further than most observers thought possible.</p> <p>"It was the big European moment of the start of this century," commented Robinet-Borgomano.</p> <p>He believes the two have "laid the first stones" for a truly sovereign Europe, one capable of -- at some point in the future -- taking care of its own security and acting independently from the United States.</p> <p>"There are still unresolved problems, like those for the eurozone for example, which is far from being stable," Tokarski said. "This is a legacy that Merkel leaves for her successor."</p> <p>Merkel said on Thursday she hoped Germany would have a new government soon after the election to avoid a slowdown in ongoing EU reform.</p> <p>Elections in Germany often lead to protracted coalition talks. One staffer planted the Chinese national flag near the capsule.</p> <p>The taikonauts -- as Chinese astronauts are known -- will undergo a 14-day quarantine before they can go home "because their immune systems may have weakened after the long mission," Huang Weifen, chief designer of China's manned space project told CCTV.</p> <p>The mission was part of China's heavily promoted space programme, which has already seen the nation land a rover on Mars and send probes to the moon.</p> <p>The launch of Beijing's first crewed mission in nearly five years coincided with the 100th anniversary of the ruling Communist Party on July 1, and was the highlight of a massive propaganda campaign.</p> <p>The crew stayed for 90 days at the Tiangong space station, conducting spacewalks and scientific experiments.</p> <p>"The successful completion of the mission... paves the way for future regular missions and utlisation of the (Chinese space) station," said Chen Lan, an independent analyst at GoTaikonauts, which specialises in China's space programme.</p> <p>"It is a very important and very much needed start for the CSS."</p> <p>Tiangong, meaning "heavenly palace", is expected to operate for at least 10 years.</p> <p>The mission is headed by Nie Haisheng, a decorated airforce pilot in the People's Liberation Army who previously participated in two space missions.</p> <p>The two other astronauts, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo, are also in the military.</p> <p><strong>Space race</strong></p> <p>The Chinese space agency is planning a total of 11 launches before the end of next year, including three more crewed missions that will deliver two lab modules to expand the 70-tonne station.</p> <p>China has poured billions of dollars into its military-led space programme in recent years as it tries to catch up with the United States and Russia.</p> <p>Beijing's space ambitions have been fuelled in part by a US ban on its astronauts on the International Space Station, a collaboration between the United States, Russia, Canada, Europe and Japan.</p> <p>The ISS is due for retirement after 2024, although NASA has said it could potentially remain functional beyond 2028.</p> <p>"Compared to the US, China is still technically somewhat behind," Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, told AFP.</p> <p>"The main US lead in human spaceflight is in total experience," he said.</p> <p>"For example, two spacewalks is not the same as hundreds of ISS spacewalks.
