(File)</p> </div> <b class="place_cont">Beijing:</b> <p>Beijing said Wednesday it welcomed the end of "three weeks of anarchy" in Afghanistan with the establishment of a new interim government in Kabul, calling on the Taliban to restore order in the country.</p> <p>The Islamists seized control of Afghanistan as US troops withdrew last month and have set up a new administration that started work Wednesday.</p> <p>Despite previous promises that their rule would be inclusive, the government is drawn exclusively from loyalist ranks with established hardliners in all key posts and no women.</p> <p>China has been scathing about the American withdrawal, which it criticised as ill-planned and hasty. On Wednesday it said the new government would help bring stability.</p> <p>"China attaches great importance to the announcement by the Taliban of the establishment of an interim government and some important personnel arrangements," said foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin at a press briefing.</p> <p>"This has ended more than three weeks of anarchy in Afghanistan and is a necessary step to restore order and rebuild the country."</p> <p>While much of the world has adopted a wait-and-see approach to engagement with the Taliban, China has already said it is ready to build friendly relations with the group following their takeover.</p> <p>Analysts have said a stable and cooperative administration in Kabul would open economic opportunities for China and allow for expansion of its massive overseas infrastructure drive, the Belt and Road Initiative.</p> <p>The Taliban may also see China as a crucial source of economic support and potentially a key ally.</p> <p>Last week a Taliban spokesman said Beijing had promised them increased aid and Covid-19 assistance.</p> <p>However, Beijing is wary of the group providing support to Muslim-minority Uyghur separatists looking to infiltrate its sensitive border region of Xinjiang.</p> <p>Wang said Wednesday that China would "not interfere in Afghanistan's internal affairs", but hoped the Taliban would "pursue moderate and steady domestic and foreign policies, resolutely crack down on all kinds of terrorist forces, and get along well with all countries, especially neighbouring countries".</p> <p><i>(Except for the headline, this story has not been edited by NDTV staff and is published from a syndicated feed.)</i></p> <br /> <br /> source <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/taliban-takeover-china-welcomes-end-of-anarchy-with-new-afghan-government-2533982">https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/taliban-takeover-china-welcomes-end-of-anarchy-with-new-afghan-government-2533982</a>

<p><strong>In an interview with Newsmax Tuesday, President Trump slammed the Biden administration’s calamitous Afghanistan withdrawal, labelling it “the most incompetently handled withdrawal or anything else in the history of our country.”</strong></p> <p>“We’re embarrassed in front of the world,” Trump continued, adding “I don’t think our country has ever seen a period like this, how badly we’re doing, and then you take a look at the border. And worst of all is what took place in Afghanistan.”</p> <p>Elsewhere in the interview, Trump said it was incredible that Afghans that were taken out aboard US planes were not vetted.</p> <p>“It was just revealed today that they didn’t vet the people. They didn’t vet any of these people coming out. They’re vetting them now they’re already out,” Trump warned.</p> <p>Trump also slammed the decision to leave Americans stranded, stating “Can you imagine getting the military out, before you get your citizens, American people out? They took the military out first. We would have taken it out last.”</p> <p>The 45th President also blasted the abandonment of military equipment, which has fallen into Taliban hands.</p> <p>“Brand new Apache, the most incredible weapon you’ve ever seen, the Apache helicopters, brand new – brand new out of the box, as they say – and they got ’em,” Trump said adding “Now they have one of the best-equipped armies in the world, can you believe it? From having knives to having the best planes and tanks and trucks.”</p> <p>‘Why didn’t we take it out? It’s not even conceivable we didn’t take this stuff out,” Trump urged, adding “We left them airplanes, helicopters, why didn’t we fly that stuff out? I think he is definitely running in 2024.”</p> <p>“I had a good conversation with him last night. <p><strong>A business owner in the UK has been forced to close her shop after testing positive for COVID-19 for the second time despite being double jabbed.</strong></p> <p>Ursula Sutcliffe says she has lost her sense of smell, has a pain in the back of her head and is now bedridden due to the infection, despite having received her second dose of the vaccine.</p> <p>“Ursula, who had her second vaccination in May this year, first tested positive for Covid in September last year, which led to her plant shop being shut for 10 days. <p><strong>The NHS has published a blog on its official website called “Dear white people in the UK” which lectures Brits about their “white privilege” and says they should “be uncomfortable” about their “whiteness.”</strong></p> <p>Yes, really.</p> <p>The <a href="https://senioronboarding.leadershipacademy.nhs.uk/blog-dear-white-people-in-the-uk/">article</a> is written by Aishnine Benjamin, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (not a real job).</p> <p>It orders white people to read numerous far-left screeds about intersectionality and why white people should feel guilty about the color of their skin while telling them to shut up and “listen…to what black and minority ethnic people are saying.”</p> <p>“Don’t say ‘I’m not political’ to excuse yourself from this conversation,” the text barks. “Right now, ignorance isn’t an excuse.
