Restaurant Reserveration App OpenTable To Integrate Vaccination Status Into Service

<p><strong>Tucker Carlson reacted to Oregon enacting a fresh mask mandate Wednesday, calling the move “ridiculous on every level, even if you ignore the science.”</strong></p>
<p>Oregon governor Kate Brown declared this week “Today, I’m announcing that effective Friday, August 27 masks will be required in all public outdoor settings or physical distancing is not possible regardless of vaccination status.”</p>
<p>Brown <a href="https://apnews.com/article/entertainment-music-health-oregon-coronavirus-pandemic-947bd5fe02d802978cf4318f5ab93e40">told reporters</a> “Masks are a quick and simple tool we can immediately deploy to protect ourselves and our families, and quickly help stop further spread of COVID-19.”</p>
<p>As Carlson notes, reporters also asked Brown if people should report their neighbours if they see them not complying with the mandate, to which the governor replied “this is no different than what happens if there’s a party down the street and it’s keeping everyone awake. What neighbors do, they call law enforcement because it’s too noisy.”</p>
<p>Carlson stated “None of the actual laws are being enforced, but the fake laws, not the ones passed by the legislature, the ones made up by the power-mad governor, will be enforced with guns.”</p>
<p>The host urged that “at this point, it’s almost pointless to apply the traditional measures of logic, reason, and data to decrees like that one.”</p>
<p>He added, “on every level, the order you just saw from Kate Brown is ridiculous, and yet. Thanks to COVID, as we noted, she is now God, so her orders are now the law and if you ignore them, you will go to jail.”</p>
<p>Carlson asked the question, “if the vaccines work, then why are vaccinated people required to wear masks? And for that matter, why is anyone required to wear a mask outdoors? Outdoor transmission of COVID is so rare that it’s practically non-existent.”</p>
<p>The host continued, “as a factual matter, Kate Brown’s order is absurd. But even if you ignored the science, even if you convinced yourself that large numbers of people were catching COVID while jogging, you still wouldn’t make people wear masks. Because drugstore masks, the kind that everyone wears, do not work. Cloth and surgical masks do not stop COVID. That’s not a guess. We know.”</p>

Afghanistan: A Tragically Stupid War Comes to a Tragic End

<p><strong>Sunday’s news reports that the Biden Administration mistakenly killed nine members of one Afghan family, including six children, in “retaliation” for last week’s suicide attack which killed 13 US servicemembers, is a sad and sick epitaph on the 20 year Afghanistan war.</strong></p>
<p>Promising to “get tough” on ISIS, which suddenly re-emerged to take responsibility for the suicide attack, the most expensive military and intelligence apparatus on earth appears to have gotten it wrong. Again.</p>
<p>Interventionists love to pretend they care about girls and women in Afghanistan, but it is in reality a desperate attempt to continue the 20-year US occupation. If we leave, they say, girls and women will be discriminated against by the Taliban.</p>
<p>It’s hard to imagine a discrimination worse than being incinerated by a drone strike, but these “collateral damage” attacks over the past 20 years have killed scores of civilians. Just like on Sunday.</p>
<p>That’s the worst part of this whole terrible war: day-after-day for twenty years civilians were killed because of the “noble” effort to re-make Afghanistan in the image of the United States. But the media and the warmongers who call the shots in government – and the “private” military-industrial sector – could not have cared less. Who recalls a single report on how many civilians were just “collateral damage” in the futile US war?</p>
<p>Sadly these children killed on Sunday, two of them reportedly just two years old, have been the ones forced to pay the price for a failed and bloody US foreign policy.</p>
<p>Yes, the whole exit from Afghanistan has been a debacle. Biden, but especially his military planners and incompetent advisors, deserves much of what has been piled onto him this past week or so about this incompetence.</p>
<p>Maybe if Biden’s Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs’ Chairman had spent a bit more time planning the Afghan exit and a lot less time obsessing on how to turn the US military into a laboratory for cultural Marxism, we might have actually had a workable plan.</p>

<p>We know that actual experts like Col. Douglas Macgregor did have a plan to get out that would have spared innocent lives. But because this decorated US Army veteran was “tainted” by his service in the previous administration – service that was solely focused on how to get out of Afghanistan safely – he would not be consulted by the Pentagon’s “woke” top military brass.</p>
<p>Trump also should share some of the blame currently being showered on Biden. He wanted to get out years ago, but never had the courage to stand up to the also incompetent generals and “experts” he foolishly hired to advise him.</p>
<p>Similarly, many conservatives (especially neoconservatives) are desperate to attack Biden not for how he got out of Afghanistan, but for the fact that he is getting us out of Afghanistan.</p>
<p>That tells you all you need to know about how profitable war is to the warmongers.</p>
<p>I’ve always said, “we just marched in, we can just march out,” and I stand by that view. Yes, you can “just march out” of these idiotic interventions…but you do need a map!</p>

Chaotic Scenes in Athens as Greeks Protest COVID Tyranny

<p><strong>On Sunday, protesters in Athens clashed with police against mandatory vaccination measures that go into effect on Sept. 1.</strong></p>
<p>Police estimate about 8,000 people attended the rally in Syntagma Square, the central square of Athens, chanting anti-vaxx slogans and demanding government officials reverse mandatory vaccinations for all health workers that begins Wednesday. </p>
<p>At least 47 were detained in yesterday’s demonstrations, police said in a statement Sunday evening, reported by local media <a href="https://www.iefimerida.gr/">Iefimerida</a>. </p>
<p>Police said unruly protesters “threw objects” at police, and riot control response teams had to use tear gas, stun grenades, and water cannons to disperse the crowd. </p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.afp.com/en/news-hub">AFP</a>, the demonstrators held signs that read: “We are not against vaccines, but against fascism.” </p>
<p>For several weeks, Greeks have been angered and taken to the streets to protest mandatory vaccinations, vaccine passports, and other virus-related measures. </p>
<p>Event the largest industry union, Panhellenic Federation of Employees in Public Hospitals, released a statement earlier this month, indicating it was against mandatory vaccinations for hospital workers. </p>
<p>The rise in government control over the lives of people under the guise of COVID is absolutely terrifying and continues to spread worldwide. Businesses and the government are forcing mandatory vaccinations and health passports, creating a multi-tier society of those who are vaxxed and unvaxxed.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, businesses and the government are <a href="https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/ends-debate-israeli-study-shows-natural-immunity-13x-more-effective-vaccines-stopping?ao_status=skipped">entirely ignoring natural immunity</a>, which could be up to 13x more effective than vaccines. </p>

New Zealand Reports First Death Related to Pfizer’s COVID Injection

<p><strong>New Zealand’s Ministry of Health said on 30 August that it had registered the first death believed to be linked to injection with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.</strong></p>
<p>“The COVID-19 Vaccine Independent Safety Monitoring Board (CV-ISMB) has advised the Ministry of Health to ensure that healthcare professionals and consumers remain vigilant and are aware of the signs of myocarditis and pericarditis. This advice follows the CV-ISMB’s review of the death of a woman following her Comirnaty Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination,” the ministry said in a statement.</p>
<p>It is presumed that the woman died from myocarditis, which is a rare side effect of the Pfizer vaccine. The CV-ISMB, however, noted that “there were other medical issues occurring at the same time which may have influenced the outcome following vaccination.”</p>
<p>The case has been referred to the coroner, so “the cause of death has not yet been determined,” the statement read.</p>
<p>“The risk of myocarditis after the vaccine is much lower than the risk of myocarditis after being infected with Covid-19,” Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield said as quoted by RNZ, reassuring citizens that the Pfizer vaccine’s safety profile is “very very good.”</p>
<p>New Zealand has vaccinated 21.4% of its population. The island nation has been using the Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca shots.</p>

Israel Warns COVID ‘Green Pass’ Will Expire If Residents Don’t Get Third Jab

<p><strong>After being confronted with the fact that widespread vaccination isn’t enough to stop COVID (just look at Israel’s case numbers), public health authorities in the tiny Mediterranean country have decided that the best solution is to double-down on the jabs by defying the WHO and demanding all citizens must get a third jab. <em>Talk about moving the goalposts…</em></strong></p>
<p>As Israel’s government expands availability of Pfizer-produced COVID booster shots to all inoculated residents age 12 and older, it has also decreed that all those who don’t opt for the third jab will lose their green pass privileges come October, according to a report in <a href="https://www.rt.com/news/533416-israel-expanded-vaccine-children/">RT.</a></p>

<p>Effective from October 1, the “green pass” required for entry into some gatherings and public places will expire not only six months after the holder receives a second dose, but also six months after their third jab.</p>

<p>Israel expanded access to the booster jabs for the fourth time on Sunday when it opened them up to any patient over the age of 12. By the time Oct. 1 rolls around, hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of Israelis (in a country of 9MM) will need to have gotten their booster shots, or risk losing access to gyms,</p>
<p>Critics have slammed the green pass program for effectively leading an individual to be “de-personed” (a term from George Orwell’s 1984) if they don’t get shots every six months. This will inevitably lead to a “perpetual cycle of jabs,” something the WHO has warned could delay vaccinations for the rest of the planet, especially in the emerging world.</p>
<p>For those who aren’t familiar with the pass (which has been cited as inspiration for a similar system that may be rolled out in the UK), across Israel, a ‘green pass’ is required to access many places others may not, including gyms, restaurants, theaters and cinemas, sports arenas, hotels and cultural events. Additionally, face masks remain mandatory in most of these settings.</p>
<p>What’s more, those who refuse the third jab will be required to quarantine for a week after returning to Israel from abroad. And even those who receive the third shot will need to quarantine after returning from any country not deemed at low or moderate risk of COVID infection. Booster recipients will be allowed to self-isolate for 24 hours or take a test to prove that they’re not infected with the virus.</p>
<p>Israeli PM Naftali Bennett has been a leading proponent of booster shots, saying earlier this month that elderly people who don’t get a third dose are in “mortal danger.”</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/ends-debate-israeli-study-shows-natural-immunity-13x-more-effective-vaccines-stopping?ao_status=skipped">a study published late last week,</a> when it comes to the delta variant, those who have survived natural infection will exhibit much higher levels of immunity than patients who have received two, or even three, Pfizer or Moderna jabs.</p>
<p>And while efficacy estimates for the premier mRNA vaccines continue to fall, <a href="https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/us-investigates-moderna-jab-after-data-show-25x-higher-risk-heart-inflammation?fbclid=IwAR2nZEc6-Cjl52nSamnFC6zJQdPY3q8QnoCDx3P9wZlP1N8SBeLVe3aKX1Y">chances of a deadly or seriously harmful side effect</a> will likely continue to climb.</p>
