Terror groups in Afghanistan have escalated violent activities, including targeting of civilians, the Indian Embassy in Kabul has warned in its latest advisory, urging "utmost caution". The statement comes nearly a week after Reuters journalist and <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/pulitzer-winning-photojournalist-danish-siddiqui-killed-in-afghanistan-taliban-clashes-2487952" target="_self">Pulitzer prize winner Danish Siddiqui was killed</a> while covering a clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters.
All Indians - visiting, staying and working in Afghanistan - are "advised to exercise utmost vigilance and caution with regard to security at workplace, place of residence and also during the movement to their place of work," the advisory reads, stressing the "security situation in Afghanistan remains dangerous in several provinces"
"It is recommended that all types of non-essential movements be avoided. Movements especially during peak commuting hours should also be avoided. While traveling on roads, maintain distance from possible targets like military convoys, vehicles of government ministries or offices, high ranking officials, law enforcement agencies, and avoid visiting crowded markets, shopping complexes, mandis, restaurants, and other public places," it said.

Indian firms operating in the country have been told to make special arrangements for their employees.
"As recent tragic events showed, it is essential that all Indian press-persons covering events on the ground establish contact with the Public Affairs and Security Wing of this Embassy for a personalised briefing, including specific advice for the locale they are traveling to," the statement further read.
From <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/un-chief-grieved-at-the-killing-of-indian-photojournalist-danish-siddiqui-in-afghanistan-2488393" target="_self">UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres</a> to Joe Biden administration, the death of Danish Siddiqui had led to worldwide outpouring of tributes. 
Amid widespread Taliban offensive, Afghanistan on Saturday imposed a night-time curfew across 31 of the country's 34 provinces to curb surging violence, news agency AFP reported. 
"To curb violence and limit the Taliban movements a night curfew has been imposed in 31 provinces across the country," except in Kabul, Panjshir and Nangarhar, the interior ministry said in a statement.
Afghanistan has witnessed widespread violence after the US and NATO forces began withdrawing in early May, nearly 20 years after the arrival in the war-torn country.
Earlier this month, <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/50-indian-diplomats-officials-evacuated-from-afghanistans-kandahar-consulate-as-taliban-advances-sources-2483945" target="_self">India evacuated about 50 Indian diplomats and other staff members</a> at the consulate in Afghanistan's Kandahar. The personnel at the consulate were flown to Delhi by special Air Force planes which avoided Pakistan air space, sources said.

Beijing:
China shut down ports and railways on Saturday as it braced for Typhoon In-Fa as parts of the country struggled to recover from devastating floods earlier this week.
In-Fa is forecast to make landfall late Sunday in the eastern coastal province of Zhejiang near Shanghai, according to the official Xinhua news agency.
Chinese authorities have issued a level III alert -- the third-highest -- for the storm, while more than 100 trains travelling through the region have been cancelled, according to China Railway.
Shanghai authorities closed some public parks and museums and warned residents on Saturday to "stop large-scale outdoor gatherings" and to stay indoors.
Meanwhile, all container ship docks were shut down from Yangshan Port south of Shanghai and 150 vessels including passenger ships and cargo vessels were evacuated from the area.
In central China's Henan province, where historic floods this week have now killed at least 58 people, authorities are gradually clearing and reopening roads blocked with vehicles and debris.
Millions have been affected by the floods, with some trapped without fresh food or water for days and others lifted to safety in excavator buckets.
More than 495,000 people have been evacuated, according to the Henan government, with the flooding causing billions of dollars in losses.
Henan emergency response official Li Changxun warned on Saturday that the province would need to undertake large-scale cleaning and disinfecting to "ensure the disaster is not followed by an epidemic."
Photos published by state media and government social media accounts Saturday showed rescue workers continuing to shovel mud and remove uprooted trees across the province.
Torrential downpours dumped a year's rain in just three days this week on the hardest-hit city of Zhengzhou, where at least a dozen people died inside a subway train during Tuesday's rush hour after floodwaters trapped passengers in their carriages.
State media warned that In-Fa could bring more torrential downpours to parts of the province in the coming days.
China has suffered an annual flood season for millennia, but the record rainfall in Henan has prompted questions about how China's cities could be better prepared for freak weather events, which experts say are happening with increased frequency and intensity due to climate change.
Henan province is striated by rivers, dams and reservoirs, many constructed decades ago to manage the flow of floodwater and irrigate the agricultural region, but rapid urban sprawl has strained existing drainage systems.

Kabul:
Afghan authorities on Saturday imposed a night-time curfew across 31 of the country's 34 provinces to curb surging violence unleashed by a sweeping Taliban offensive in recent months, the interior ministry said.
The widespread Taliban offensive has seen the insurgents capture key border crossings, dozens of districts and encircle several provincial capitals since early May.
"To curb violence and limit the Taliban movements a night curfew has been imposed in 31 provinces across the country," except in Kabul, Panjshir and Nangarhar, the interior ministry said in a statement.
The curfew will be effective between 10:00 pm and 4:00 am local time, Ahmad Zia Zia, deputy interior ministry spokesman said in a separate audio statement to reporters.
With the withdrawal of American-led foreign forces all but complete, the resurgent Taliban now controls about half of Afghanistan's roughly 400 districts.
After a brief lull in violence during this week's Muslim holidays of Eid al-Adha, fighting continued again with the authorities claiming to have killed more than 260 Taliban fighters in the past 24 hours across several provinces.
Both the authorities and the Taliban exaggerate their claims which cannot be independently verified.
As the fighting raged in recent weeks, the US military was forced to carry out air strikes "to support" Afghan troops to repel Taliban offensives even as its overall withdrawal continues, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday.
Experts say a lack of regular US air support since May to Afghan forces on the ground is a key factor in government troops losing lot of territory to the Taliban.
Late on Friday, the Taliban warned the US military against carrying out air strikes.
"It is a clear violation of the signed agreement that will have consequences," the Taliban said in a statement, referring to a landmark deal between Washington and the insurgents last year that paved the way for the withdrawal of foreign forces.
The Taliban also warned the Afghan government against launching any offensive, saying the group will "strongly defend their territories and not remain in a defensive posture if the enemy insists upon war".
The Taliban had said earlier this week that its fighters were in a "defensive" posture to mark the Eid al-Adha holidays that ended on Thursday.
Earlier this week, the chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff General Mark Milley said the Taliban appear to have "strategic momentum" on the battlefield.
With the militants putting pressure on around half of the country's provincial capitals, Afghan troops are in the process of "consolidating their forces" to protect those major urban centres, Milley added.

Philippine authorities moved thousands of residents in the capital, Manila, out of low-lying communities on Saturday as heavy monsoon rains, compounded by a tropical storm, flooded the city and nearby provinces.
The national disaster agency said about 15,000 people, most of them from a flood-prone Manila suburb, had moved into evacuation centres.
"We decided to evacuate early," said Luzviminda Tayson, 61.
"We don't want the waters to rise and be caught," said Tayson, one of about 2,900 evacuees who were reminded to practice physical distancing as they took refuge in a primary school in Marikina city.
Harsh weather has hit nearly all corners of the globe in recent weeks, bringing floods to China, India and Western Europe and heat waves to North America, heightening fears about the impact of climate change.
The Philippines, a Southeast Asian archipelago of more than 7,600 islands, is hit by about 20 tropical storms a year but a warmer Pacific Ocean will make storms more powerful and bring heavier rain, meteorologists say.
In some parts of the Philippine capital region, an urban sprawl of more than 13 million people, flood waters waters rose waist-high in places and cut off roads to light vehicles.
The Philippines is also grappling with one of the worst outbreaks of COVID-19 in Asia and has tightened curbs to prevent the spread of the more infectious Delta variant.
With more than 1.54 million cases and 27,131 deaths, the Philippines has the second highest number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities in Southeast Asia, after Indonesia.
The public works ministry was busy on Saturday clearing debris and landslides from roads in the provinces, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
"Some houses were flooded up to the roof," Humerlito Dolor, governor of Oriental Mindoro province south of the capital, told DZMM radio station.

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's estranged father Thomas Markle claims he will take her and Prince Harry to court in hopes of having a relationship with grandchildren Archie Harrison and Lili Diana.
Thomas told Fox News he wanted to be a part of his grandchildren's lives and will take his daughter to court over the matter. He claimed, "I will be petitioning the California courts for the rights to see my grandchildren in the very near future."
Expressing concern for grandson Archie Harrison and newborn granddaughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana, he told the news outlet that he believes Meghan and husband Prince Harry have shown "bad behaviour" in their dealings with the royal family.
Talking about his grandchildren he continued, "Archie and Lili are small children. They're not politics. They're not pawns. They're not part of the game. And they're also royal and entitled to the same rights as any other royal."
Meghan had previously told Oprah Winfrey that while she cares for her father, she can't understand why he's worked with the same tabloids that she mistrusts.
She explained, "I mean, I look at Archie, I think about this child and I go, ''I genuinely can't imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can't imagine it. So, it's hard for me to reconcile that."
Meghan also acknowledged the tenacity of the tabloid media, while accepting that her father had the chance to turn down staged photo opps and interviews, just as her mother Doria Ragland has.
She stated, "Everyone has accountability. Look, they've hunted my mom down and you've never heard her say a word. She's remained in silent dignity for four years watching me go through this."
The Duchess further noted that she hasn't seen estranged sister Samantha Markle, who wrote a "tell-all" book about her sibling, in at least 10 years. She remarked, "I think it would be very hard to tell all when you don't know me."
The royal's fraught relationship with her family is part of the reason why she was excited to welcome Lili this spring.
"I grew up as an only child, which everyone who grew up around me knows," she reflected and added, "I wished I'd had siblings. I would have loved to have siblings. That's why I'm so excited to be pregnant so that Archie has someone."
Indeed, Lili has been a welcome addition to Harry and Meghan's family. When the prince returned to England for the late Princess Diana's 60th birthday, he told fans, "We've been lucky so far... She's very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy."

Mass. Reports Over 5,100 “Breakthrough” Covid Cases, 80 Deaths Among Fully Vaccinated

Massachusetts health officials announced there’s been over 5,100 “breakthrough cases” of fully vaccinated individuals becoming infected with Covid in the state, with as many as 80 deaths reported.
The state’s department of health <a href="https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/more-than-5100-breakthrough-covid-cases-reported-in-mass-at-least-80-have-died/2435719/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported</a> the stats Friday, attempting to claim that despite the deaths and breakthrough cases the vaccines still work are more people should get them.
The news comes as over <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/barnstable-hyannis/256-people-linked-cape-cod-coronavirus-cluster" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">256 Covid infections were detected in Cape Cod</a> among fully vaccinated individuals, with media outlets claiming the cases were “<a href="https://www.infowars.com/posts/vast-majority-of-cape-cod-covid-cluster-were-vaccinated/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">not a major concern</a>.”
With over 80 deaths of vaccinated people in the state, it’s starting to seem like somewhat of a concern.
