Beijing, China:
A neighbourhood in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou has been locked down as officials rush to quell an uptick in cases in the area.
The industrial hub north of Hong Kong home to nearly 15 million people has reported 20 new cases of the coronavirus in the past week.
A notice by the Guangzhou municipal health bureau issued Saturday identified five streets in Liwan district in the city centre as "high-risk areas" and ordered residents to stay indoors until door-to-door testing is completed.
Markets, schools and entertainment venues in the area were shut.
The city government has rushed to conduct mass testing and about 700,000 people had been tested by Wednesday.
China has largely controlled the spread of the virus and has tightened quarantine rules after a surge in cases in neighbouring countries.
The total number of confirmed infections in China to date stands at 91,061, with 4,636 deaths, according to the latest figures from the National Health Commission.

Haines once featured an erotic reading from a man who said that he wrote the pornographic material when he was sixteen years old. Thus, Haines personally hosted the reading of erotic content written by an adolescent. Avril Haines took over as Joe Biden’s director of national intelligence in January 2021 after previously serving as Barack Obama’s deputy CIA director and an Obama White House staffer. She is most notable for redacting large portions of the Senate “torture report” to protect Deep State activities.</h4>
<a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1995-05-22-1995142103-story.html">A Baltimore Sun article from May 1995</a> shows that Haines hosted Erotica Nights at Baltimore’s Adrian’s Book Cafe. One passage from the article reads as follows: “Mr. Cornish laughs and claps when Zulema gets her man. He seems anxious to stall the inevitable, but seconds later he clears his throat and reads from a fabric-covered journal. “Death Speaks” is his own creation: Come to me sweet lover…And let my lips suck the warmth from your flesh…I can feel your heat, your pain, your fear..Your screams are like music to me …He recites the lines briskly, lessening their emotional wallop. “You wrote that when you were how old?” someone asks. “Sixteen,” he says, unsure whether to feel embarrassed or proud.”
How disturbing is it that Haines personally listened to erotic death-themed material written by a 16-year old? The article makes clear that Haines was really into erotica during this period of time.

But after reading several stories and realizing what she had been buying often fell into that category, she reconsidered. “We were terrified who might show up,” she says of the events that began in March. “We thought it would be a bunch of dirty old men. And a lot of our friends gave us a hard time. They said, ‘You just want a mass orgy in your bookstore.’”

Cafe Charging $5 Fee for Mask-Wearing Customers

A cafe in Northern California is taking heat from mask lovers after its owner instituted a new policy charging $5 if customers wear face coverings.
The sign posted outside Fiddlehead’s Cafe in Mendocino informs patrons they’ll incur a $5 surcharge if they order masked.
“$5 FEE ADDED TO ORDERS PLACED WHILE WEARING A FACE MASK,” the sign says, adding, “AN ADDITIONAL $5 FEE WILL BE ADDED IF YOU ARE CAUGHT BRAGGING ABOUT YOUR VACCINE.”
A footnote on the poster indicates the cafe means business: “PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO LOCAL CHARITIES ASSISTING DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIMS.”
The owner of Fiddlehead’s, Chris Castleman, says he put the sign up because of the treatment he received over masks during the pandemic.
“I’ve been told this whole time that wearing a mask is a small price to pay,” Castleman <a href="https://www.sfgate.com/food/article/fiddleheads-cafe-vaccines-mask-policy-sign-16206085.php">told</a> SFGate. “Some people get shocked by the sign but to see them turn around and get disgusted … when they’re asked to pay $5 [for charity], it’s not in their wheelhouse. It’s not something they’re choosing to do.”
Castleman says some customers have paid the fee while others have gotten upset over the charitable contribution.
The cafe owner says he’s keeping the sign, which went up Monday, posted for a few more months as he believes the county will keep mask orders in place.

“I can’t wait to hear he died from Covid,” one commenter stated.
“GET THE F**K OUT OF CALIFORNIA, YOU UNETHICAL C**KSUCKER!” another person stated.
Back in April, Fiddlehead’s also <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.sfgate.com/food/article/Fiddleheads-discount-mask-sign-Castleman-COVID-16079028.php" target="_blank">ran a promotion</a> giving customers 50% off their order if they threw their masks in the trash.
The cafe at one point was also offering customers free Covid-19 vaccine cards, however SFGate reports that sign’s been removed.
For months, Castleman has been pushing back against county, local and state coronavirus ordinances. Amid the height of the pandemic last year, he <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.northbaybusinessjournal.com/article/news/mendocino-restaurateur-closes-rather-than-comply-with-health-order/" target="_blank">closed his business down</a> rather than comply with county orders that would have forced his employees to wear face masks.
The business owner’s defiance of unconstitutional big government mandates makes him an Infowars all-star, and his bravery should serve as an example for others to follow.

A Muslim man in France entered a police station where he stabbed a female officer several times before he attacked another officer. He fled into an apartment complex where he kidnapped a woman and held her captive for two hours and thirty minutes. He eventually fired on officers who opened fire on him and killed him. According to <a href="https://www.lemonde.fr/societe/article/2021/05/28/une-policiere-municipale-agressee-au-couteau-pres-de-nantes_6081875_3224.html">Le Monde</a>:

In the evening, the public prosecutor of Nantes, Pierre Sennès, detailed the circumstances of the attack during a press conference: around 10:20 a.m., a man presented himself at the municipal police station of La Chapelle -on-Erdre, explaining that he had a vehicle problem to resolve. “Very quickly, he threw himself on this person [the municipal policewoman] and stabbed her several times, injuring her hand and legs ,” said Mr. Sennès. This victim being on the ground, he stole his service weapon, a revolver capable of firing six shots. ”
According to the prosecutor, two people located on the floor of the municipal police station then went down and tried to control the individual, who threatened them. “On leaving, he meets a municipal police officer and stabs him, but he touches the bulletproof vest and the blade will break,” continued the Nantes prosecutor. The attacker then fled in his vehicle, but had to continue on foot after an accident.
A vast manhunt was then launched. Two hundred and fifty gendarmes, including the GIGN branch in Nantes, are deployed to find the perpetrator. Two helicopters fly over the area, while three dog teams and a squadron of mobile gendarmes participated in the search. The surrounding schools had been secured, according to the gendarmerie.
In his flight, the attacker rushed into a private residence in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, around 10:40 am There, “he will enter an apartment and kidnap the resident for 2 h 30″ , traced the prosecutor. At 1:10 p.m., he stood on the balcony of the apartment, saw the gendarmerie located nearby, and opened fire at least twice on the gendarmes, who replied, without anyone being injured on both sides.
“He then leaves the apartment, leaves the private residence and finds himself in a field near the gendarmerie.
