<p>A car-ramming attack wounded several people including four police officers in the flashpoint Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem on Sunday, police said, adding that the attacker was shot.</p>
<p>After the "vehicle-ramming attack" in the district, the scene of weeks of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces, the assailant was "shot by officers", police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said without giving details on the attacker's condition.</p>

<p>Israel has faced the highest ever rate of rocket attacks on its territory during its latest confrontation with the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas that controls Gaza, the army said Sunday.</p>
<p>Since Monday, armed groups in Gaza have fired about 3,000 rockets towards Israel, surpassing the pace during an escalation in 2019 and during the 2006 war with Lebanon's Hezbollah, said Major General Ori Gordin.</p>
<p>Mr. Gordin, commander of Israel's home front, presented a graphic to reporters with data of rockets fired toward Israel in past years and now.</p>
<p>During an escalation in November 2019 between the army and the Islamic Jihad group, 570 rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel over three days.</p>
<p>And in the 2006 war with the Iran-backed Hezbollah, a total of 4,500 rockets were fired at Israel over 19 days, according to the data Mr. Gordin shared with reporters.</p>
<p>Asked if the pace since Monday was the highest ever rate of rocket attacks on Israeli territory, Mr. Gordin said: "Not only do I agree, this is what I present."</p>
<p>The week-long escalation was sparked by unrest in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, and has seen the casualties in the densely-populated Gaza Strip rise to 181, and to 10 in Israel, according to authorities on either side.</p>

<p>Seven Indonesians drowned after an overloaded boat capsized because of tourists attempting a selfie in a reservoir on Java island, police said Sunday.</p>
<p>The accident happened when all 20 passengers suddenly moved to the one side of the vessel to take a group photo on Saturday in the Boyolali regency, said Central Java police chief Ahmad Lutfi.</p>
<p>"The cause of the accident was overcapacity," Mr. Lutfi told reporters. "The 20 people took a selfie on the right side then the boat lost balance and flipped."</p>
<p>Police added that 11 people were rescued but seven were found dead. Rescuers were searching for two people still missing.</p>
<p>Authorities said they will look into whether there was negligence by those managing the boat rides at the reservoir.</p>
<p>Mr. Lutfi said that the boat was helmed by a 13-year-old.</p>
<p>Boat accidents are common in Indonesia, a Southeast Asian archipelago of around 17,000 islands, due to lax safety standards.</p>
<p>In April, rescuers were rushed to find 17 fishermen after two boats collided in West Java. Three were found dead and 13 were still missing when the search ended.</p>
<p>And in January last year, 10 people went missing after a boat carrying 20 migrant workers to neighbouring Malaysia capsized off the coast of Sumatra island.</p>

<p>The British government on Sunday pushed back against criticism it was too slow to impose travel restrictions on India as a coronavirus variant identified in the subcontinent spreads in the UK.</p>
<p>England and the devolved nations of Scotland and Wales will unlock parts of their economy on Monday but the future roadmap for reopening has been put in doubt over the more transmissible variant.</p>
<p>Health Secretary Matt Hancock told Sky News it was "completely wrong" to suggest the UK could have acted faster to designate India as a "red list" country meaning arriving travellers would have to quarantine in hotels.</p>
<p>He explained that India was placed under the strict travel restrictions in April before the variant, known as B1.617.2, was under investigation.</p>
<p>The British government has come under criticism from opposition politicians over its decision to put Pakistan and Bangladesh on its red list before India.</p>
<p>Hancock rebuffed the suggestion the decision was influenced by a planned trip by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in April to assist in post-Brexit trade talks.</p>
<p>"We take these decisions based on the evidence," he said over the visit which was eventually scrapped because of surging Covid cases in India.</p>
<p>Indoor hospitality and indoor entertainment such as cinemas, museums and sports venues are to open their doors in most parts of the UK for the first time in months on Monday.</p>
<p>People and families will also be able to meet with some restrictions in private houses under the new measures.</p>
<p>Hancock said the reopening could go ahead despite the presence of 1,300 cases of the Indian variant in the UK because of the country's succesful vaccination campaign and close monitoring of cases.</p>
<p>However, he sounded a note of caution over plans to completely lift restrictions on June 21.</p>
<p>"We're in a race between the vaccination programme. And the virus, and this new variant has given the virus some extra legs in that race, but we have a high degree of confidence that the vaccine will overcome," the health secretary said.</p>
<p>The government's former chief scientific Adviser told Sky News the UK now found itself in a "perilous movement".</p>
<p>"We have a variant that shows good evidence of being more transmissible and possibly significantly more transmissible. We're going to have to watch the numbers extremely closely," he added.</p>

<p>Israeli air strikes hit the home of Yahya Sinwar, head of Hamas' political wing in the Gaza Strip, the army said Sunday, but without saying if he was killed.</p>
<p>"Among the targets struck are the residences of Yahya Sinwar, Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau in Gaza, as well as of his brother, Muhammad Sinwar, Head of Logistics and Manpower for Hamas," Israel's army said in a statement, releasing a video showing plumes of smoke and intense damage.</p>
<p>"Both residences served as military infrastructure for the Hamas terror organisation."</p>
<p>Witnesses confirmed to AFP a strike had hit Sinwar's house.</p>
<p>Sinwar, a former commander of Hamas's military branch, served more than two decades in an Israeli jail before he was released in 2011 as a part of a prisoner exchange.</p>
<p>First elected as the head of Hamas's political wing in Gaza in 2017, he was re-elected in March, extending his tenure as the Islamist movement's de facto leader in the Israeli-blockaded Palestinian enclave.</p>
<p>Hamas overall chief Ismail Haniyeh is currently based in Qatar.</p>
<p>The army said it had also carried out strikes targeting Hamas tunnel systems.</p>
<p>As of 07:00 am (0400 GMT) Sunday, Israel's army said that Palestinian militants in Gaza had fired some 2,900 rockets towards Israel.</p>
<p>The army said 450 rockets fell short inside Gaza, while Israel's Iron Dome air defence system has intercepted approximately 1,150 rockets.</p>

Government insider says UK Gov. has a plan in place to continue Lockdown and the Mainstream Media are in on it

<p><strong>A Whitehall source directly linked to the Covid Response has said that the UK Government have already structured a detailed plan designed to neutralise each stage of lockdown easing, including the compliance of media outlets to help spread fear.</strong></p>
<p>The Whitehall source has said that he has been “increasingly concerned” with how the Government are behaving, and that their “relationship with the truth” is now not even on nodding terms. The latest plan will involve a series of ‘crisis’ around drug supply; mutant strains; and third waves, specifically choreographed to condition the public for further lockdowns and vaccine passports.</p>
<p>The plan, that according to the source is designed to take us to September 27th 2021 is to be released in stages over the summer months and, according to the Whitehall source, is already ‘well underway’.</p>
<p>On March the 8th, the first milestone of the roadmap was implemented, with school children finally returning to class. The following day Chris Whitty gave a pre-written speech to the Commons that said schools reopening would cause another surge in the virus and ended it with “Let me be clear, many, many more people will die before this is over” the soundbite obligingly repeated on every news outlet, with BBC news having it on-loop all day.</p>
<p>On March the 29th, the second milestone of the roadmap was implemented. The Government said – “The evidence shows that it is safer for people to meet outdoors rather than indoors,”. This is why from the 29th March, when most schools start to break up for the Easter holidays, outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households will also be allowed, making it easier for friends and families to meet outside.</p>
<p>The next day (March 30th) the AstraZeneca Vaccine was again stopped due to blood clots fears, despite the medicine’s regulator clearing it only the previous week. Whilst Boris Johnson repeated what he’d said the previous week that the mutated virus on the continent would inevitably “wash up on our shores”.</p>
<p>On April 19th, the third milestone saw pub gardens, and non-essential shops reopen. Followed immediately by news of a second vaccine being halted for fear it was causing blood clots and the discovery of the South African mutation said to be able to avoid them anyway.</p>
<p>The next milestone is due on May 17th with the Government relaxing social contact rules further and the opening of indoor venues. This will be followed by a story that the mutation is ‘more deadly than first thought’ and that young people are now also vulnerable to it, accompanied by the result of the vaccine passport trials have shown that they have a ‘positive effect on virus reduction’.</p>
<p>The final milestone is due on June 21st where ALL restrictions were promised to be lifted. This will not be allowed to happen. Vaccine passports / Track and Trace will be mandatory, as will masks and social distancing. The entire week of the 21st will be taken up by a third wave, which will suddenly be ‘rampant’, and this will be attributed to a new variant which they will declare is more deadly than the previous strains of Covid allegedly doing the rounds. This will be accompanied with yet more issues with vaccine supplies. Authorities will declare that one of the vaccines is effective against the deadlier strain, but a ‘problem’ with its manufacture will emerge.</p>
<p>The Whitehall source went on to say –</p>
<p>“All the measures are aimed at two things, vaccine passports and lockdowns starting next winter,</p>
<p>“The ultimate goal is to have the public, back in their box.</p>
<p>“Note that Boris is now talking down vaccine’s and bigging-up lockdowns, that wasn’t a mistake, that was all part of the plan”.</p>
<p>The plan also includes an ad campaign like the one seen at Christmas, the message this time will be that the pandemic isn’t over and vaccine passports are the ‘solution’.</p>
