Microsoft Corp said on Thursday it has resolved an issue with its Microsoft 365 services and features, including workplace messaging app Teams and Azure, after many users were unable to access them.
Microsoft said in its status page that the Domain Name System (DNS) issue was resolved and that all Microsoft 365 services had returned to a healthy state.
DNS is effectively an address book of the internet which enables computers to match website addresses with the correct server.
Earlier, outage tracking website Downdetector showed over 8,000 incidents of people reporting issues with its widely-used Teams workplace messaging app.
Downdetector only tracks outages by collating status reports from a series of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.

Tunis, Tunisia:
On social media he burned 500-euro notes and flaunted "his Bentley". In real life, Swagg Man is accused of having ripped off young fans to the tune of $1.8 million.
The French-Tunisian social media phenomenon, whose real name is Iteb Zaibet, was arrested in Tunis in July 2019 and sentenced Monday to five years in prison in a separate case for fraud and money laundering, with the equivalent of $6 million seized from his accounts.
Several other probes are underway, in both France and Tunisia, against the fan of chunky jewellery and out-there outfits, who has his body covered with tattoos, including Louis Vuitton logos on his skull.
The 34-year-old was born in Nice to a Franco-Tunisian family, according to accounts by relatives.
But that account does not tally with the mysterious origins Swagg Man cultivated, presenting himself as Rayan Sanchez, the son of a Jewish Tunisian mother and Brazilian father who was abandoned and forced to live on the street.
'Anyone can make it'
An internet phenomenon in the early 2010s, he posted photos and music clips depicting himself as a cynical high-roller who started out as a DJ in Dubai.
This persona drew hundreds of thousands of followers to his social media accounts, where he championed a cult of money, luxury cars and bling.
In a 2015 interview with French daily Le Monde, he defined himself as "a buzz that lasts" and said he "made money through the net, then with real estate, in Miami and Dubai".
Appearing on France's Canal Plus television the next year, he said his goal was to prove that "anyone can make it".
But testimonies from fans claiming to have been scammed by Swagg Man have poured in, first via a Facebook page, then an association set up in France called Swagg Auxilium.
According to the association, the dozens of victims are mainly fans, aged 13 to 35, who had turned to their idol for advice on how to get rich.
He is accused of having offered them lucrative investment opportunities, as well as asking for funds to support humanitarian causes or to pay for bail.
Trial in Tunisia
Some of them pressed charges, but "the scams targeted different jurisdictions, so it was almost impossible for security services to gather enough elements in their investigations", according to Auxilium.
In 2019 and 2020, 21 alleged victims claiming a total loss worth more than $1.7 million, filed a suit in Tunisia, one of their lawyers, Mohamed Ben Brahem, told AFP.
The sums allegedly extorted from French, Tunisian, Algerian and Canadian nationals range from a few thousand to several hundred thousand euros each, he said.
Swagg Man, who appears on Instagram living it up in Miami, was convicted this week -- along with a Swiss national, who remains at large -- over two suspect transfers worth more than six million euros paid into his Tunisian account from Switzerland, said Mohsen Dali, a deputy public prosecutor. 
Swagg Man's lawyer, Mahdi Louzir, said the money was to be used to buy industrial machinery and his client was an intermediary in the deal.
As for the fans' complaints in the separate case, they were business losses, the defence argues.
Investigations into 19 of the complaints have been completed and a trial should open soon, according to Ben Brahem.
There is also a warrant out for Swagg Man's arrest in France.
It was issued in October 2019 as part of a judicial investigation for fraud, breach of trust, counterfeiting, forgery and falsification of records, said the prosecutor's office in the French city of Nanterre.
Swagg Man's social media accounts have gone silent since July 4, 2019, when he posted a photo taken in front of a courthouse in Tunis.
"If this is my last photo, I will miss you very much," he told followers.

Los Angeles:
One of four people shot dead in a suburban Los Angeles real estate office was a 9-year-old boy struck by gunfire in the arms of his wounded mother as she tried in vain to shield him from the attack, officials said on Thursday.
Authorities also disclosed that the suspected gunman in Wednesday's violence, who was himself wounded before he was taken into custody, knew all of his victims and had a family relationship with at least one of them.
The bloodshed inside a two-story office complex in the city of Orange, about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles, marked the third deadly mass shooting in the United States in a month.
Ten people were killed at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, on March 22, and eight others died in a series of attacks on three Atlanta-area spas on March 16. The accused gunman in each of those rampages was likewise arrested.
But the suspect's connection with the dead in the California attack appeared to set it apart from the shootings in Georgia and Colorado, where the victims were believed to have been killed at random.
"The preliminary motive is believed to be related to a business and personal relationship which existed between the suspect and all of the victims," Orange Police Department Lieutenant Jennifer Amat told a news conference.
The identities of the victims were being withheld pending notification of relatives, police said. The surviving victim, a woman badly wounded while cradling her son in her arms as he was fatally shot, worked at the business, authorities said.
She remained hospitalized in critical but stable condition on Thursday. Three other adults - two women and a man - were killed.
The suspect, identified as Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, 44, a resident of the nearby city of Fullerton, also was listed in critical condition. He may be arraigned on murder charges from his hospital bed on Friday, said Kimberly Edds, a spokeswoman for the Orange County District Attorney's office.
He is accused of opening fire in the office of a mobile home realty company after first using bicycle-style locks to seal off two sets of gates to the courtyard in the center of the office building, blocking entrance to the complex from the outside.
Police officers, encountering gunfire as they arrived on the scene, were forced to use bolt cutters to open the gates and directly confront the suspect. Two officers initially exchanged gunfire with the gunman from outside the gates.
"In the meantime, a horrific rampage was going on in offices and people were dying or were being shot," District Attorney Todd Spitzer said.
The suspect was arrested once police entered and found him injured, Amat said. Edds said investigators, who recovered a semi-automatic handgun from the scene, did not yet know whether the gunshot he suffered was self-inflicted or from a bullet fired by police.
Authorities said they also recovered a backpack containing pepper spray, handcuffs and ammunition that they believe belonged to the suspect, who had been living in a motel room in Anaheim before Wednesday.
Police said they obtained surveillance video camera footage of the suspect at the crime scene. A still image from that video was released showing the gunman wearing a ball cap, dark glasses and a black bandanna, striding through an office while brandishing a pistol in one hand. He also appeared to be have a backpack slung over one shoulder.

It had been a seemingly ordinary trip to an Albertson's grocery store in southern New Mexico.
A man carried his shopping bags outside, loaded his bread and other items into the back seat of his Buick and started to drive away.
And that's when he saw it - a mass of some 15,000 buzzing bees hanging from one of his rear windows.
Officials with the Las Cruces Fire Department, which provided the account, said firefighters responded to the scene late Sunday afternoon to find "a swarm of bees inside the vehicle." Jesse Johnson, an off-duty firefighter who is also a beekeeper, arrived in a traditional white jacket and veiled hat and expertly removed the bees, relocating them to his property, according to a statement from the fire department.
"I'll do anything to keep people from killing the bees," he told the New York Times.
Photos from the fire department show hundreds of bees swarming around the car as Johnson loaded them into beehive boxes.
"Luckily, when bees are swarming, they're pretty docile," Johnson told the Times. "They don't have a home to protect for a moment. It's much more intimidating than it is dangerous."
Johnson could not immediately be reached by The Washington Post.
Honey bee experts say incidents such as this one are not that uncommon this time of year. During "swarm season," crowded colonies often split as a means of reproduction - with the old queen and about half of her worker bees leaving the hive in search of a new home. Johnson told the Times that he suspected that the swarm might have come from a hive in a nearby parapet, a gutter or a house.
While in transit, the swarm will land on something nearby like a tree branch, a fence post or even a grocery shopper's car, while the scout bees venture out and search for a spot for a new nest, said Jamie Ellis, a professor in the Entomology and Nematology Department at the University of Florida.
When the scout bees find the ideal place, the cluster lets go and flies to it to build a new home, he said.
"When a colony splits, it can be a pretty intimidating-looking thing to someone who is not a beekeeper," he told The Washington Post.
Experts say it is highly unlikely that the bees in this case chose the car as their new nest site, but were simply clustering there for a bit, making it more of a campsite. If the bees had been left alone, they would probably have relocated on their own within a few hours or days, the experts said.
But, they acknowledged, it's not always possible to let nature take its course.
Officials with the Las Cruces Fire Department said, "to mitigate the midafternoon hazard the large swarm presented in a relatively high-traffic area, firefighters determined the best remedy was to have the swarm removed and relocated swiftly."
Authorities secured the area while Johnson removed the cluster of bees, the statement read.
Officials said an Albertson's security guard was stung in the process but no major injuries were reported.

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that the Navy’s “extremism” training consists of telling sailors that “it’s okay to advocate for Black Lives Matter (BLM) while at work” but they’re “not allowed to discuss ‘politically partisan’ issues.”

UPGRADES: Gab Announces ‘Totally Rebuilt’ Social Network Including Marketplace, Video Calls, and Payment System

<h4>Gab CEO Andrew Torba announced on Tuesday the free speech social network would be rebuilt from the ground up, and include new features such as video calls, a marketplace, and a P2P payment system.</h4>
<a href="https://news.gab.com/2021/03/30/gab-next/">In a press release,</a> Torba, who founded Gab in 2016, announced the company’s plan for “Gab Next,” a huge upgrade for the free speech social network. Gab Social, the main platform, will be moved over to the HYDRA infrastructure that currently powers all the other Gab products including Gab Trends, Gab TV, and the Gab Shop.
HYDRA, Gab’s in-house infrastructure system, is “secure, scalable, and has unmatched performance for a community as big as Gab,” Torba said, with Gab Social to be completely “rebuilt” and ported over to the new system within the next 90 days.
With the infrastructure change will come big upgrades for Gab. Torba announced some “exciting new features and tools” that will be possible on the new system, including: a Marketplace for Gab users to buy goods and services with each other; a P2P payment system; and a video calling system. Existing services like Gab Chat and Gab Trends will be able to be further integrated.

The new services are part of the wider plan from Torba and Gab to “build a new economy,”<a href="https://news.gab.com/2021/02/17/its-time-to-build-our-own-economy/"> a vision that was revealed in February this year,</a> following mass deplatforms of America First conservatives and President Trump himself from all levels of society. “Free markets inevitably emerge from free speech and the next evolution of Gab will provide the tools for that to happen,” Torba concluded.
