The pain of breaking his back 25 years ago in a parachuting accident haunts Bear Grylls every day to this date, the British adventurist said in an Instagram post. The man behind the popular show Man vs Wild said that he is in pain every day due to the accident.
Grylls also gave an insight into how he lives with the injury and what he does to help with recovery.
The 46-year-old wrote in the caption, "People sometimes ask me if my back ever hurts having broken it all those years ago in a parachuting accident. The answer is every day. And the treatment I get for it can be quite intense but life can at times be a battle for everyone and most people have their stuff to carry with them through the adventures. I choose just to be grateful for the opportunity to still be able to live life as best I can."
He added that he was undergoing ice treatment every day to keep his body and mind strong.

The TV star was skydiving in Zambia in 1996 when his parachute failed to inflate, causing him to land on his back. At the age of 21, Grylls was put through a year of rehabilitation after fracturing three vertebrae.
Fans were impressed with the star's honesty and praised him for the grit. Commenting on the post, a follower said, "You're a true inspiration Bear, I have herniated discs in my lower back and someday the pain is awful but you help with positivity."
Another fan wrote, "You are an inspiration. Keep well and strong to be adventurous and what you love doing."
Interestingly, just two years after the painful injury, Grylls became the youngest Briton to reach the summit of Mount Everest. He, however, felt that the title should belong to Michael Matthews who was 22 when he disappeared on the mountain in 1999. Micheal is the brother of the reality television series Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.

Hong Kong:
Among the Hong Kong activists facing jail on Thursday is an octogenarian barrister dubbed the "Father of Democracy" who Beijing once asked to help draft the city's mini-constitution and was often dismissed by younger activists for being too moderate.
In the broad spectrum of Hong Kong's democracy advocates, 82-year-old Martin Lee would not be considered a firebrand.
For decades he has campaigned in vain to see democracy in Hong Kong but always advocated working alongside authorities in Beijing, even as they branded him a traitor.
He was critical of younger generations that favoured a more confrontational approach and remained a vocal opponent of political violence.
Now he faces up to five years in jail for helping to organise a huge, but peaceful, rally during the months of political unrest that convulsed Hong Kong in 2019.
"Finally I've become a defendant," he quipped after his arrest last year.
"How do I feel? I'm very much relieved. For so many years, so many months, so many good youngsters were arrested and charged, while I was not arrested. I feel sorry about it."
That a figure like Lee could be going to jail illustrates how the space for dissent has been all but squeezed out of Hong Kong, even for more moderate voices.
Son of a general
Lee's career mirrors Hong Kong's recent history and political pragmatism runs in his family.
His father Lee Yin-wo was a general in the Kuomintang forces that lost the Chinese civil war to Mao Zedong's Communists.
Despite their differences, the general-turned-teacher remained in touch with top Communist party leaders, including Zhou Enlai.
The younger Lee was a typical product of Hong Kong's local elite under colonial rule.
He studied law in Britain and flitted comfortably between English, Cantonese and Mandarin. When Hong Kong was convulsed by leftist riots in 1967 during the Cultural Revolution, Lee went to defend people charged with spearheading the unrest.
In the run-up to Hong Kong's 1997 handover to China he was one of the lawyers picked by Beijing to draft the Basic Law.
That document grants Hong Kong certain freedoms and autonomy unseen on the authoritarian mainland under a model dubbed "one country, two systems", including the eventual promise of universal suffrage.
Critics say Beijing's has demolished that promise in recent years and Lee was among the first to sound the alarm over China's assurances that Hong Kongers could keep their way of life.
After Beijing sent tanks to crush the Tiananmen Square student protests in 1989, Lee started criticising Beijing.
He was turfed out of the Basic Law committee and soon branded a traitor by state media.
'Things will explode'
He went on to found the city's first pro-democracy party and joined the post handover Beijing opposition after handover.
But he always maintained support for "one country, two systems" and the idea that Hong Kong was part of China.
After the handover, Britain's Prince Charles wrote in a diary entry: "Thus we left Hong Kong to her fate and the hope that Martin Lee, the leader of the Democrats, would not be arrested."
As opposition to Beijing's rule among many Hong Kongers hardened, Lee was often criticised by those who felt his generation's tactics had failed to achieve anything close to suffrage.
Student-led democracy protest erupted in 2014 and a new generation of firebrand activsts like Nathan Law and Joshua Wong came to the fore -- a precursor to the even larger and sometimes violent rallies of 2019.
Lee was aware that his calls for a more patient approach had become less popular.
"I'm a public enemy from China's point of view. And the kids don't like me, either, because I am not agreeing with their objects," he told the New York Times last year.
But he said he recognised why so many younger Hong Kongers were frustrated and accused Beijing of failing to live up to its own commitments.
"Now China doesn't even want to follow the rules of its own book," he told The Guardian last year as the city was blanketed by a sweeping new national security law.
"But if you continue to suppress people like this, things will explode."
He remained defiant.
"Even if you jail me, kill me, I will still point out it's their fault. Democracy will come to China one day."

Trump Blasts Biden’s Tax Hike As “Globalist Betrayal”

After Joe Biden proposed a huge tax hike to pay for a $2-3 trillion spending spree, President Trump blasted it as a “globalist betrayal” and a “cruel and heartless attack on the American dream.”
Despite promising not to raise taxes for middle class Americans, Biden’s latest Spending proposal will likely effect people at the earning threshold of $200,000 per year, with the White House now suggesting that the previously announced $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies only to families, and not individuals.
Trump labeled the hike as “a massive giveaway to China, and many other countries, that will send thousands of factories, millions of jobs, and trillions of dollars to these competitive Nations.”

Trump continued, “Biden’s ludicrous multi-trillion dollar tax hike is a strategy for total economic surrender. Sacrificing good paying American jobs is the last thing our citizens need as our country recovers from the effects of the Global Pandemic.”
Trump concluded “This tax hike is a classic globalist betrayal by Joe Biden and his friends: the lobbyists will win, the special interests will win, China will win, the Washington politicians and government bureaucrats will win — but hardworking American families will lose.”
Trump also took part in an interview Wednesday with his daughter-in-law Lara, which was swiftly erased from Facebook and other social media sites.
During the interview, he suggested that he may soon hold a huge rally ” just to let everybody know that there’s hope in the future.”

In a further post, Paul also shared a study examining T cell responses in people who have recovered from Covid-19.
“T cell immunity after natural infection shown to include variants,” Paul, who is also a physician, noted.
He again addressed Fauci, asking “Do we still need to wear multiple masks after we’ve recovered or been vaccinated?”

The Senator clashed with Fauci a fortnight ago, telling him “You’ve been vaccinated and you parade around in two masks for show. You can’t get it again.”

Joe Biden barely made it to the top of the steps on Airforce One Wednesday, misplacing his own feet despite a concerted effort on his part not to fall over again.
Holding a bag and an umbrella, Biden slowly eased his way up the steps in the rain, but still managed to lose his coordination half way up.
It clearly wasn’t a slip, Biden has trouble putting one foot in front of the other. He loses his train of thought and makes phantom steps.
This is a known signifier of dementia.
Sufferers often walk with slow and irregular steps and find it hard to negotiate turns, climb steps, and avoid obstacles.
Having made it to the top, Biden turned around and gave a comical salute that would see even the most lenient drill sergeant yelling their lungs out.

Copenhagen, Denmark:
The World Health Organization on Thursday slammed Europe's "unacceptably slow" vaccine rollout and said the region's surge in coronavirus infections was "worrying".
"Vaccines present our best way out of this pandemic... However, the rollout of these vaccines is unacceptably slow" and is "prolonging the pandemic", WHO director for Europe Hans Kluge said in a statement.
"We must speed up the process by ramping up manufacturing, reducing barriers to administering vaccines, and using every single vial we have in stock, now," he added.
The organisation said that Europe's virus situation was "more worrying than we have seen in several months."
Five weeks ago, the weekly number of new cases in Europe had dipped to under one million, but "last week saw increasing transmission of Covid-19 in the majority of countries in the WHO European region, with 1.6 million new cases," it said.
The total number of deaths in Europe "is fast approaching one million and the total number of cases about to surpass 45 million," it said.
The WHO's European region comprises 53 countries and territories and includes Russia and several Central Asian nations.
The organisation warned that the rapid spread of the virus could increase the risk of new variants of concern developing.
"The likelihood of new variants of concern occurring increases with the rate at which the virus is replicating and spreading, so curbing transmission through basic disease control actions is crucial," Dorit Nitzan, WHO Europe's regional emergency director, said in the statement.
