Jhaveri responded with the assertion that “it’s always an angry white man. always.” When police announced the shooter was Syrian-born Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, Jhaveri hurried to delete her tweet. She was not fast enough, however, to keep her job.
Numerous tweets accusing her of racism flooded the conversation, along with those calling for USA Today to fire her. “I’m shocked and appalled that the Race and Inclusion editor at a major newspaper, is, in fact, a racist,” The Rubin Report’s Dave Rubin <a href="https://twitter.com/RubinReport/status/1374400228640497665" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, with a screenshot of the now-deleted tweet.

ROME — The president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue said Friday that the Vatican will continue pursuing diplomatic relations with China following the renewal of a 2018 Sino-Vatican accord on the naming of bishops in China.

Texas GOP Votes To Delete Its Gab Account After Abbott Smears Platform As ‘Anti-Semitic’

<h4>Despite Texas Republican Party Chairman Allen West previously pledging not to delete the party’s Gab account, the State Republican Executive Committee today voted to circumvent West’s decision and delete the account. This follows the baseless lie from Texas Governor Greg Abbott that Gab is “anti-Semitic” and, thus, has no place in Texas.</h4>
During a party meeting today, the SREC “has voted to delete the @TexasGOP Gab account on a 35-25 vote.” Ironically, the news was broken by the Texas Republican Initiative, which claims its goal is to grow the “Republican Party by supporting and communicating the successes of Republican leadership for all Texans.”

In the video, Abbott is seen sitting in his wheelchair while flanked by the American and Texan flags, with the Israeli flag taking a prominent role centered directly behind him.

“Anti-semitic platforms like Gab have no place in Texas, and certainly do not represent Texas values,” Abbott said. The governor then displayed an unnamed piece of legislation created by Republican Texas representatives Phil King and Craig Goldman, which he proudly proclaims to fight “anti-semitism in Texas.”
The last message posted to the party’s Gab account claimed that it would not delete the account and “will always fight censorship.” This appears to have been a lie.

In a statement, Gab CEO Andrew Torba told National File, “The Texas GOP has been successfully subverted by woke liberal women like Cat Parks who falsely claim to be conservative. It’s astonishingly pathetic and the GOP across this country will continue to lose unless and until real leaders with a backbone step up to reclaim the mantle of leadership.”
“The GOP needs to remove subversive liberals from its ranks immediately or risk never winning an election ever again. Voters in Texas will not forget this.”   
National File requested a comment from the Texas Republican Party as to the thought process behind the vote, and to confirm that the vote will result in the Texas Republican Party being forced to “deplatform” from its social media account. National File did not receive an immediate response.
At the time of publication, the Texas GOP Gab account has not been deleted. It was created in late January of this year, and has amassed over 21,400 followers.

The <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/masks-early-pulmonary-toxicity-quebec-schools-daycares-1.5966387?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar">CBC reports</a> that “Radio-Canada has obtained documents showing Health Canada warned of the potential for ‘early pulmonary toxicity’ from the SNN200642 masks made by Métallifer, a Quebec-based manufacturer.” The face masks are described by the CBC as “potentially toxic”.
However, a quick review of <a href="https://www.metallifer.com/">Métallifer’s website reveals</a> that the company brands itself as “Votre partenaire industriel entre le Canada et la Chine”, or “Your industrial partner between Canada and China” in English.
National File conducted additional research and learned that Métallifer appears to have partnered with a Chinese company called <a href="http://e.shengquan.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=263&id=177">SQ Group, or Sheng Quan</a> Group, to import the face masks into Canada using the website <a href="https://sqmedicalsupplies.com/products/disposable-face-masks">SQMedicalSupplies.com.</a>

Even more research reveals a Wuhan, China based company called V&Q Manufacturing Corporation actually manufactures the masks, which were apparently then sold to Sheng Quan Group. V&Q Manufacturing Corporation’s address is listed as “#B1614 optical valley time square, Wuhan, Hubei, CHINA” in <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0286/5171/6682/files/510K.pdf?v=2109721894537982243">official documentation</a> for the masks.
On <a href="http://www.chinavqmc.com/aspcms/about/about-112.html">its website</a>, V&Q Manufacturing Corporation promises “Very Qualify Supplier, Very Quality Products, Very Quickly Service.” They list their factory address as “#4 Fuyuan Road, Pengchang town, Xiantao city, Hubei province, China” and a business office in Wuhan at the address “#1-403 SBI Street Guanshandadao Hongshan district Wuhan City 430074”.

Myanmar army fighter jets launched air strikes on Saturday on a village near the Thai border in territory controlled by an armed ethnic group, the group said, as fears grow of civil war following last month's military coup.
The Karen National Union (KNU), the armed ethnic group that controls the southeastern region, said fighter jets attacked Day Pu No in Papun district, an area held by its Brigade 5 forces, at around 8 p.m., forcing villagers to flee.
"They bombed the area... The villagers from that area said two dead and two injured," a spokesperson for civil society group Karen Peace Support Network said, adding that communication was difficult in the remote region and there could be more casualties.
A spokesman for the junta did not answer phone calls seeking comment.
The reported air assault is the most significant attack for years in the region. The KNU had signed a ceasefire agreement in 2015 but tensions surged after the military overthrew Aung San Suu Kyi's civilian government on Feb.1.
Earlier on Saturday, the KNU said Brigade 5 forces overran an army base, killing 10 soldiers including a lieutenant-colonel, as the junta celebrated its annual Armed Forces Day with a parade in the capital, Naypyitaw.
The KNU says it has been sheltering hundreds of people who have fled central Myanmar amid mounting violence in recent weeks. The junta's troops killed dozens of people on Saturday, including children, in one of the bloodiest days of protests since the coup, news reports and witnesses said.

Makassar:
Two bombers are suspected in a blast that rocked an Indonesian cathedral Sunday as Christians inside celebrated the start of Holy Week, police said.
"There were two people riding on a motorbike when the explosion happened at the main gate of the church -- the perpetrators were trying to enter the church compound," National Police spokesman Argo Yuwono said of the explosion in Makassar city.
"The bike was destroyed and there are body parts... We're still collecting parts and trying to identify the sex of the perpetrators."
Earlier, local police had said at least one bomber was involved with at least nine church officials and congregants rushed to hospital with injuries.
