The difference with the time of St. Thomas Becket and King Henry VIII is that King Henry's revolt was successful in subjugating the people and expelling the Church. This was the end of Christendom, because the fracturing caused by the Protestant movement allowed each man to create his own "church" acting as his own, self-appointed, independent authority. As such, it would only come in time and naturally so that without any historical context and sacred tradition coming from the apostles and transmitted throughout the ages that a man could reject any authority he disagreed with merely on his own opinion and appoint himself priest, bishop, and pope and claim the Bible supports him because it is simply a matter of one opinion against another.The Catholic Church in the UK has suffered many persecutions since the Revolution, being virtually stamped out in ways seen only in Islamic lands. It was not until 1829 that some of the anti-Catholic laws were overturned or notably loosened and has made continual improvements, but there are still may problems with the state of the Church, most notably a decline in church attendance, a falling population, and a rise of secularism.These things did not happen just out of nothing, because secularism does not just "pop up" from among a religious people. That is the reason that in addition to the decline a majority of the people support homosexuality and abortion and nearly the same rates as the general population, because there is no difference between them and the average pagan other than a mere, superficial group association.People talk about the rise of Islam, but the fact is the rise of Islam could not happen unless there was a void left by the Church for it to fill. The fact is that the state of the Catholic Church in the UK is a reflection of the people as well as that of the work of the clergy, and everything points to a lack of believe in the faith, from simple points to complex ones. There are many Catholics, but one can say that many do not believe, especially among the younger ones.Certainly as long as a man lives there is hope, but the writing is on the wall. For an HIV-negative person, those same crimes would be a misdemeanor punishable by no more than six months in prison for a first-time offense.Critics say the laws are relics of the past and demonize people infected with the virus. A study published in June by researchers with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found no evidence that the laws reduce transmission of the virus.“It’s very embarrassing and dehumanizing,” said Suttle, 38, who now lives in Harlem, New York, and works as an assistant director for the Sero Project, which advocates to end laws that criminalize people living with the virus.In 1994, Texas became the first state to repeal its HIV criminal laws, according to the Center for HIV Law and Policy. But since then, people have been prosecuted for HIV exposure under general criminal laws such as attempted murder, which Catherine Hanssens, the center’s executive director, said illustrates why straight repeal of the laws is not enough. The crux of the case: whether or not the law discriminates against people living with HIV, as well as whether requiring disclosure of one’s HIV status violates the First Amendment.The push to reform HIV crime statutes “has become a national movement, and it’s part of the larger conversation about overcriminalizing people,” said Allison Nichol, law and policy counsel for the Sero Project.“We need to take this out of the realm of someone committing a sex crime,” said Nichol, who used to prosecute sex crimes in Indianapolis. “These laws continue to feed a false narrative that people with HIV present a danger to public health, when in fact that is no longer true.”But supporters of the laws argue they protect public health, and some states have moved in the opposite direction.In May, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, signed a law that, among other things, authorizes a judge to issue an emergency order to get someone tested for HIV if it’s believed that person has “caused exposure to a victim.” The law updates a previous one and is intended to treat rape victims who may have contracted HIV or hepatitis C. Neither is a "doctor's order" an excuse saying that their child has "gender dysphoria", which is really just psychologist double speak for a made up medical condition to justify perverse and demonic behavior with.Kids don't know what they want because they are children. Owing to a lack of life experiences and knowledge, as all children are 'blank slates' onto which knowledge must be written, they have yet to learn about the world around them. Children are not asked what they want. They are told what they can have. If a child is given a choice, it is between one or two predetermined choices by the parent that he knows the child likes. If the child refuses to make a decision, a decision is made for him whether he likes the outcome or not because he is a child. These are fundamental parenting skills and ways for dealing with decisions in life.Teenagers, while possessing a base of knowledge to draw off that expands as they grow, are more capable than children but in some ways far less as it comes to decision making. We know for a fact that the human brain undergoes profound changes between the ages of 10 and 25, as it is in this period which a child becomes an adult. The physiological and psychological changes which take place, especially in the early years, are profound and can induce senses of confusion, disorder, or discomfort as products of the growth but not the person itself. Just like how it takes time to "break in" a new pair of shoes, so does "breaking into" ones adult body from that of a child also involves a period of change and discomfort which is again, most profound in the early years of this transition.At 12 years old, the kid was probably feeling confused as are most teenagers. In his case, he had feelings of confusion over his own masculinity, and probably wondered what it would "feel like" to be a girl. I do not say this is right or normal, but given that he asked to become a girl at the time when most people his age are entering into puberty, it is likely the two are connected. After a few years, the boy came to his senses and realized that he was totally confused and wrong, and that he just needs to be himself.The real people who deserve blame in this story are his idiotic parents and the quack doctors who enabled them. Who other than an idiot for a parent would give their kid hormone drugs and dress him to try to turn him into something that he is not? What kind of doctor other than a quack who needs to have his medical license permanently revoked authorize for hormone altering pills to be distributed to a teenager at a time of life when his hormones are already confused and then try to justify their malpractice with diagnonese of made up medical conditions?
