She says her owners made her dress and pray as a Muslim, but she says she never believed and prayed to God instead that He would drop bombs on ISIS:<blockquote>In Iraq, the Caliphate of Evil has fallen, and the horrific stories of their victims emerge, especially those of children whose innocence has been torn away from them forever, children treated as slaves, as sex objects, as pack animals. Children who talk about this terrible experience today as if it were part of normal life, unaware of the existence of another type of life.Basma, sold to many mastersThis is what happened to Basma, (see photo 1), the little Yazida girl who is nine years old now, sold several times to several masters before being found by her uncle and bought through an intermediary.Basma, who is today in Dohok (Kurdistan), was at Telaafar, taken away with all the children. She describes the first days after being seized: "Every morning, she says, they carried children away and forced them to learn the Koran, threatening them with death. We had to learn it by heart and we learned."Her childhood conscience does not understand that through that this teaching converted her by making her perform the shahada [the profession of Islamic faith]. From Telaafar she was first sold to a Daesh fighter, who in turn soon resold her to another fighter who took her to Rakka in Syria where she was resold to a Saudi. After treating her like a slave for 12 days he again resold her to another man who kept her for three months. After three months she resold again who after three days sold her on to another, with whom she stayed for a week before meeting the buyer who bought her and saved her, selling her on to her uncle. Basma was photographed with adult clothing, as was customary for all Christian girls, Yazite and Shabak dragged from the plains of Nineveh; her photo was published on the Daesh site devoted to the slave trade (see photo 2). Basma cannot say the word "rape", she doesn’t know the term, but talks about these "masters", some of whom were her grandfather’s age. Like all of the others she was beaten everyday without any reason. Treated like a slave forced to clean, wash laundry, wash the dishes, heat the bath water and cook for the wife and children of her various masters. Basma says she had to "educate and nurture the masters little children" and could not sleep "before two or three in the morning ... I could not sleep before I had put the baby to sleep and washed the dishes." And she adds: "They beat us" especially "when they told me something and wanted me to remember what it was." Sometimes, however, I could "sleep a few hours before, midnight, but not always." Basma is now saved and free, but still today is afraid to listen to music and covers her ears for fear of being punished. "When there were air raids - she says - they [Daesh fighters] were afraid and asked me to go and pray. I did not pray the Islamic prayer, I pretended, but I prayed to God to send more bombs so they would die and I could escape, "she smiles satisfied. But Basma's greatest fear was when "I was torn away from my mother, who I have not seen since." Nine Thousand Islamic Terrorists Gather Together And Declare That They Want To Slaughter All Christians

As we read in <a href="http://www.christianpost.com/news/al-shabaabs-demented-beheadings-killing-of-christians-on-the-rise-9k-jihadis-ready-197602/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">one report</a>:<blockquote>Islamic terrorist group al-Shabaab's beheadings and attacks against Christians will continue to rise, with the Somali-based militants having an estimated 9,000 jihadis at their disposal, a law group monitoring religious persecution warned.The American Center for Law and Justice listed on Thursday the growing list of barbaric attacks carried out by the terrorist group over the past couple of years, including door-to-door raids in villages in Kenya in July, where the militants hunted down and killed seven Christians.In August, al-Shabaab militants killed another four Christians in Kenya's Lamu County, beheading three and burning alive another.The group is also infamous for the mass slaughter of 148 people at Garissa University in April 2015, when the militants specifically searched for Christian students to kill, separating them from the Muslims."This heinous jihadist army must be stopped. Al-Shabaab's atrocities against Christians and brutal persecution of churches in Kenya can no longer be ignored or tolerated. We must be heard," ACLJ urged."Al-Shabaab's actions are clearly deadly, demented, disturbing, and disgusting. We must defeat and destroy these Islamic jihadists."The law group warned, however, that the Islamic radical group may have an "estimated 9,000 jihadist soldiers and a plethora of outside resources to draw upon," making their terrorist activities "less and less likely to relent."The U.S. military has been carrying out air strikes against al-Shabaab's bases in Somalia, looking to dismantle its operations, though Kenya has largely been unable to stop the cross-border attacks.The law group pointed out that it has been warning about the spread of al-Shabaab for years, and echoed its words from 2015:"[Y]et another radical Islamic jihadist army — just like ISIS, the Islamic State — is ruthlessly murdering Christians, targeting them for their faith. This global and historic persecution continues."The East African Centre for Law & Justice, an ACLJ affiliate, noted: "In the past few years, the Somalia-based terrorist group al-Shabaab carried out attacks in the counties of Mombasa, Mandera, Garissa, Wajir, Lamu, and Tana River and said it had targeted non-Muslims because of their faith."In Lamu County, al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for at least 65 deaths, with some witnesses reporting the terrorists asked the religion of victims, killing non-Muslims."The terrorist group, whose name translates to "The Youth," has been active for over a decade, and has been looking to enforce Sharia law on the regions in Somalia it has gained control of.Al-Shabaab has specifically been targeting the Church in Kenya, which it accuses of spreading the Christian faith in the region.The Africa Center for Strategic Studies said in June that al-Shabaab has now become Africa's deadliest terrorist group, surpassing even Nigeria's Boko Haram. Data analyzed showed that al-Shabaab killed over 4,000 people in 2016.Besides its terrorist activities, the Critical Threats monitoring group warned in April that al-Shabaab has also been targeting vulnerable populations in rural Somalia by providing them with humanitarian aid, as part of a strategy to cultivate support."The group is well-positioned to capitalize on devastating drought and impending famine. Al Shabaab seeks to backfill the capabilities gap of the weak central government in Mogadishu that cannot meet the humanitarian needs of millions of its citizens," the report said at the time.</blockquote>

The local authority set up an investigative team that was meant to negotiate with the diocese, but there was no right of reply about their proposal, and so they straight away tried to demolish it by force," Shen added."If it is demolished, the authority would not give any compensation to the diocese. We surely will not agree," he said.The bulldozing work has reportedly been blocked, though parishioners are worried that officials will resume their efforts at night.AsiaNews noted that there are 50,000 Catholics served by 47 priests in Changzhi, with the diocese owning over 60 churches and chapels.The U.S. State Department's annual religious freedom report earlier this month also criticized China for religious freedom violations against Christians and others. To make their situation worse, Pakistan just passed as law mandating that all Christian children in public school have to study Islam and the Koran:<blockquote>Pakistan's senate has passed a bill that enforces the compulsory teaching of the Qur'an to all primary school and secondary schools students regardless of the pupil's religion.The education minister tabled The Holy Quran bill 2017 last Friday which was unanimously approved.According to Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) a Christian organisation that works for persecuted Christians, Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman said: "Being a Muslim it is necessary for us to convey Islamic teachings to our children."The National Assembly had already passed this bill on 19th April that made it mandatory for Muslim students in all educational institutions to be taught the Qur'an.According to the objectives of the bill, the law "will make the divine message understood, ensure the response of society, encourage peace and tranquillity, promote the supreme human values of truth, honesty, integrity, character building, tolerance, understanding others' point of view and way of life".Additionally, the bill claims it will help the state to discharge its constitutional responsibility as article 31(2) of the Constitution states that the "State shall endeavour to make the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and Islamiyat compulsory".However, Nasir Saeed Director CLAAS-UK said that although this is compulsory for Muslim students, no alternative programme has been announced for non-Muslim students.He added: "Also, it will have a negative impact on the non-Muslim students and many will be forced to take it as subject, if there is no other choice."It will promote bigotry and hatred against non-Muslims in Pakistani society, something which is already on the rise."He said it is sad that instead of promoting freedom of religion and belief, the government is forcing children to study religion. A mother died rescuing her baby in the midst of the horrific hurricane Harvey which has taken the lives of thirty or so people already. As we read in <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/08/30/texas-mom-dies-saving-her-infant-daughter-during-hurricane-harvey-flooding/615436001/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">one report</a>:<blockquote>A Texas mom died Tuesday while saving her infant daughter during Hurricane Harvey flooding in Beaumont, Texas, according to authorities.Beaumont Police said the woman, who was not identified, was spotted by authorities floating in a canal with the small child in Beaumont, which is almost two hours from Houston."The child was holding on to her mother," the statement said. "The first responders got to the mother and child just before they went under a trestle."According to authorities, the woman and her infant daughter were driving on a service road when they got stuck in high water. The mother pulled the car over and exited the vehicle with her child. Authorities said she was swept into the canal and floated about a half mile from her vehicle.Two Beaumont Police and fire rescue divers in a boat spotted her and were able to grab the mother and child before they went under the trestle.The mother was unresponsive, and the child appeared to be suffering from hypothermia, according to the statement. A bystander helped rescue officials load the mother and daughter into his truck, and they were transported to an ambulance.The 41-year-old mother “absolutely saved the child’s life," Officer Carol Riley, a spokeswoman for the Beaumont Police Department, told People.“They were in the water for quite some time,” Riley says. “When the baby was found the baby was clinging to her. The mother did the best she could to keep her child up over the water.”“The baby also had a backpack that was helping her float on her back, and she was holding on to her mom,” Riley told People.The mother later died, but the child is in stable condition, according to the Beaumont Police statement.</blockquote>
