As ISIS power wanes and some of the boys have either been rescued or escaped, they are emerging with horror stories about life in ISIS captivity which included regular beatings, starvation, torture, and finally them being forced to do suicide bombings so they could get a bite of food to eat.<blockquote>They made the captive children, weak from hunger, fight over a single tomato. Then the ISIS militants told them that in paradise they could eat to their hearts delight, but they could only get there by blowing themselves up.The lesson was part of the indoctrination inflicted by the militants on boys from Iraq's Yazidi religious minority after the extremist group overran the community's towns and villages in northern Iraq. The group forced hundreds of boys, some as young as 7 or 8, into training to become fighters and suicide bombers, infusing them with its murderous ideology.Now boys who escaped captivity are living in camps for the displaced along with what is left of their families."Even here I'm still very afraid," said 17-year-old Ahmed Ameen Koro, who spoke to The Associated Press in the sprawling Esyan Camp in northern Iraq, where he now lives with his mother, sister and a brother, the only surviving members of his family. "I can't sleep properly because I see them in my dreams."The militants stormed into the Yazidi heartland in the summer of 2014, killing tens of thousands of people and kidnapping thousands of women and girls to be used as sex slaves. The Yazidi minority's ancient faith is considered heretical by the Islamic extremists.US-backed Kurdish forces drove ISIS out of Sinjar in November 2015, but few Yazidis have returned, and an estimated 3,500 remain in ISIS captivity in Iraq and Syria, according to Human Rights Watch.‘They looked like monsters’ Ahmed's family tried to flee when the militants descended on their village, but ISIS fighters captured him, his 13-year-old brother Amin and four cousins. The boys were taken to the ISIS-held town of Tal Afar, some 30 miles (50 kilometers) away, where they were kept in a boys' school along with dozens of other boys and teens. The adult men were taken away, leaving the women and girls."They chose and took the girls they liked," Ahmed recalled. "I remember the girls were crying, as well as the mothers. They were dragging these girls from the arms of their mothers.""They were all very big bearded men, they looked like monsters," he said.Ahmed was among some 200 Yazidi boys sent to a two-month training camp in Tal Afar. They studied the militants' hard-line interpretation of Islam, and learned to shoot assault rifles and pistols. They watched videos on how to use a suicide belt, throw a grenade, or behead a person."They were telling us, 'You are not Yazidis anymore. You are one of us,'" Ahmed said.‘When you grow up, you will blow yourself up’Akram Rasho Khalaf was only 7 when his town was overrun by the militants. His family tried to flee, but the militants opened fire and Akram suffered shrapnel and bullet wounds to his abdomen and hand. He was taken by ambulance to Mosul, seized earlier that summer by ISIS, where he underwent surgery. He never heard from his parents again.Akram fidgeted as he talked about his captivity, saying he remembered being too hungry to be afraid.Eventually, he was brought to Raqqa, Syria, the ISIS group's self-declared capital. There the militants would throw balls at the children's heads. If anyone cried, he was beaten. Those who didn't cry were praised, and told they would one day be suicide bombers."They were saying they are our friends, but the kids were scared to death," Akram said in Kabarto Camp, where he now lives with his uncle, two siblings and other relatives."They were telling us, 'When you grow up, you will blow yourself up, God willing,'" he said.Training included sliding on their bellies through barricades of burning tires, jumping over obstacles and off roofs. Akram wasn't strong enough to handle a gun, so he was forced to be a servant.Escape Two years after Akram was taken captive, his uncle received a photo of his nephew dressed in black Islamic garb and an offer to smuggle him out of Raqqa for $10,500 - an increasingly common practice.The family borrowed the money from a relative in Germany, and eventually the boy was smuggled out. He was reunited with what remains of his family on Nov. 29 - two years and three months after he was seized.Ahmed escaped sooner. On May 4, 2015, nine months after their capture, Ahmed and his brother Amin sneaked away from the training camp in Tal Afar, hid in a mosque until nightfall, then fled with a small group of others on foot. "We were very thirsty because we ran out of water," he said. "We were almost dying."But fear kept them going, and after a nine-day, 55-mile (90-kilometer) trek they reached the Sinjar mountains, where Kurdish Peshmerga forces rescued them.‘Hide the knives’ Akram's uncle says his nephew suffers nightmares, anxiety, sleeplessness and bedwetting. The boy's 8-year-old brother and 5-year-old sister, rescued separately after ransom was paid, have similar problems."Sometimes they become very aggressive and they beat up other children or our children," he said.Carl Gaede, an American clinical social worker and executive director of Tutapona, a US-based nonprofit specializing in war trauma, says these reactions are common among survivors."We've seen a number of the children acting out in violent ways and family members needing to hide the knives, hide dangerous items out of fear of how the children might use them," said Gaede, who works with survivors of ISIS brutality. Ahmed sees a counselor, like many living in the camp, and fills his days now with school and running a small shop.Asked about his dreams for the future, Ahmed answers immediately. Philipp and his aides at first attracted children into VK (social media) groups by using mega-scary videos.'Their task was to attract as many children as possible, then figure out those who would be the most affected by psychological manipulation.'Say, out of 20,000 people, they knew 'their' audience would be only 20 people.'"Biological waste" is how death group administrators referred to children they pushed to commit suicide.'He explained how the deadly process worked.'They gathered the children, then offered simple tasks which for some children were too boring or weird to complete.These ones were clearly too strong to be manipulated.'Those who stayed were given much stronger tasks like cutting their veins, to balance on a roof top, to kill an animal and post a video or pictures to prove it.'Most children left at this stage.'A small group that was left who obediently went through all the tasks, with teenagers being physiologically ready to follow whatever the administrators told them, no matter how strange or scary the tasks.'They felt their position in the group was so precious that did literally everything to stay in.'One of the troubles for us was that 15 children who committed suicide at administrator's orders were told to delete all correspondence in their social media accounts, which they all did.'However, one unidentified girl went through to the final stage of the game before giving up, and she provided state investigators with crucial evidence.He revealed how easy it was to succumb to Budeikin's trap.'Like all other teenagers, she spent a lot of time in social networks. In 2013, South Sudan broke out into Civil War, with Dinkas and Neurs — the two biggest ethnic groups in South Sudan — killing each other over power and territory.  It turns out that Omar al-Bashir, the Islamist leader of North Sudan, has been arming rebels against Salva Kiir’s government. As we read in a report published by <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/06/02/is-khartoum-sending-weapons-to-rebels-in-south-sudan/">Foreign Policy</a>, “more than 70 percent of the sample of the opposition’s ammunition was manufactured in Sudan, with the vast majority made in 2014, indicating the deliveries were recent. The cartridges match those airdropped by Khartoum to Séléka rebels who overthrew the government in the Central African Republic in 2013 and to ammunition allegedly provided by Sudan to Yau Yau rebels in South Sudan in 2012. Damage to some of the materiel recovered in South Sudan indicates that it was likely airdropped to the rebels, which eyewitnesses claim occurred in September and October 2014.”North Sudan has been perpetuating the conflict, in order to make itself to be the hero and justify invading the South under the guise of intervening and restoring order. Just this month, the dictator of North Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, said that he <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.eyeradio.org/sudan-ready-intervene-sudan-avert-war-famine-bashir/">is ready</a> to send troops into South Sudan to ‘restore order.’ “We are really concerned about what is happening in South Sudan, and we feel that we have the ethical responsibility towards the normal citizens in South Sudan because they were our citizens in one state, we are the government and the political party which make the peace agreement that led to the separation. So we will intervene to stop the war and famine in South Sudan,’’ Bashir said.All of these governments do such things. Its all part of a conspiracy. Germany brought in refugees and allowed terrorists to enter in order to justify militarism; Turkey supported ISIS so that they could make a pretext to “intervene” into Syria and Iraq, and of course they ultimately plan on conquering all of that territory. North Sudan is utilizing this same type of strategy in their wanting to invade South Sudan. Sudan has been called the “arm’s dump” of Africa. It was a country that had a huge absorption and circulation of arms way before South Sudan succeeded in 2011. When South Sudan did split, there was an estimated 3.2 million small arms being used in that country. In 2010 and 2011, numerous rebel and militia groups began popping up in the Jonglei and Upper Nile states, and the ownership and possession of guns has been precipitously increasing partially due to this. In the civil war in South Sudan, you have hired militias, paramilitaries, rebels, bandits and even foreign fighters, with the global arms trade and smuggling deeply fueling the violence. But who is a major player behind the circulation of arms in Sudan? Germany. Former West Germany started a weapons flow into Muslim dominated North Sudan. Germany even built an ammunition factory in Khartoum, which is the capital of North Sudan today. In the 1980s, East Germany (under the Soviet Union) responded to the West German’s distribution of arms into the north, by sending weapons into the more Christian dominated South Sudan. As we read in <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/02/-sp-africa-arms-dump-south-sudan">one report:</a><blockquote>“Meanwhile, research has shown the international role in weapon supply, with former West Germany introducing automatic small arms in vast numbers to Sudan, which, until then, mainly had old British carbines. West Germany also set up the ammunition factory in Sheggera, Khartoum, in effect, providing the bullets to keep the guns firing. In the 1980s, East Germany responded by supplying the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) with AK47s via Ethiopia. In this way, Cold War animosities were played out in the Greater Horn of Africa.” </blockquote>The West Germans and the Soviets used Sudan to do a cold war against each other. In 1956, Sudan became independent from Anglo-Egyptian rule, and had its own first government. Ibrahim Abboud, a Sudanese general who served in the Second World for the British, became the head of state of Sudan in 1958. Abboud conducted a policy of Arabization all throughout South Sudan, which pushed English out in favor for Arabic, forbade missionaries from opening Christian schools or practicing their faith outside of churches. Southern Sudanese, tired of this discrimination, began to voice their remonstrances against Abboud’s despotic impositions. Southerners formed a very influential committee called the National Front of Professionals consisting of Christians, Muslims and communists, and began to do <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://nvdatabase.swarthmore.edu/content/sudanese-bring-down-dictator-abbud-october-revolution-1964">mass strikes</a> which eventually exhausted Abboud’s administration. In 1964, the campaign strikes finally ended with Abboud abdicating his power and with the establishment of a transitional government. In the same year of 1964, not too long after the ousting of Abboud, the new transitional government of Sudan sent weapons, supplied by Germany, to the Simba rebels in the Congo. When the Simba rebels were defeated in 1965, those same German weapons were in the possession of the South Sudanese Anyanya separatist group. After the failed 1976 coup in Khartoum against President Jaafar Mohammed Al Nimeiri, thousands of small arms and other weapons ended up in the hands of the local population in western Sudan. After 1983, Muammar Gaddafi actually armed opposition forces in South Sudan on account of his hatred against Al Nimeiri. By removing Gaddafi, it strengthened Omar al-Bashir, the Islamist dictator of Sudan who is responsible for the deaths of millions of Christians and non-Arab Muslims. For when South Sudanese leader, Silva Kir, was sending arms to Dafur for rebels who wanted to overthrow the Islamist tyrant, the Obama administration pressured South Sudan to cease its arms flow to the opposition forces. <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="/2012/08/13/obama-administration-supports-islamists-in-syria-but-stops-revolution-against-the-hitler-of-sudan/">In August of 2012, I wrote a report</a> on how while the US government is arming Islamists in Syria, it has stopped the arming of rebels against an Islamist government in Sudan:<blockquote>“The support of the rebels in Syria, and the condemnation of Assad, by the Obama administration can only make one question as to why he is against this particular regime, but not that of Omar al-Bashir, the tyrant who has been responsible for the deaths of millions through the Jihad that he has commenced against Christians and the non-Arab Muslims of Darfur.In fact, Obama had at one point in time prevented Salva Kiir, president of South Sudan, from aiding rebels who wanted to topple al-Bashir’s regimen, and replace it with a secular government.”</blockquote>In the same article, I quoted a former U.S. envoy to Sudan, Andrew Natsios, who recounted how Obama was directly involved in pushing Salva Kiir to stop giving arms to anti-Bashir rebels: <blockquote>“On November 12, Agar, Hilu, and the three major rebel leaders in Darfur formally announced a new alliance to depose Bashir’s Islamist autocracy (the Sudanese affiliate of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood) and install a secular democratic pluralist state. Khartoum has accused the South Sudanese government of supplying the rebel alliance with weapons. The Obama administration repeated the charge. That led to an acrimonious meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and South Sudanese President Salva Kiir late last year. The South has since stopped weapons transfers.”</blockquote>What is happening here? Its a conspiracy. The US killed Gaddafi who was against Bashir; the US stopped weapons, which were going to be used to remove Bashir, while at the same time arming Islamist rebels in Syria; and Germany gave the Islamic North Sudan weapons. And now we know that North Sudan gave weapons to rebels in South Sudan to continue the conflict there. This is reflective of a global conspiracy being done by both African and Western nations. One has lost some of his teeth and one of the others has a wound that had to be sewn up," Martens said.He said German authorities are not doing anything to stop the attacks and harassments in the refugee camps. Most of the time, he said the security personnel even side with the attackers.Martens said Christian converts are forced to secretly sneak out of the refugee camps to attend church services. They also hide the cross necklaces they receive after baptism, he added.At the refugee camps, Muslim residents reportedly harass Christian converts with insults and accusations. There have been reported cases of Christians being threatened with death and openly attacked with knives by Muslims.The Muslims openly conduct their intimidation and persecution campaign on their fellow Christian refugees, even scrawling messages like "It's time to kill the non-believers" on the walls of the camps, reports said.Christian converts are also discriminated against in the use of facilities like showers and bathrooms. For instance, the entrances to the facilities would have words like "The impure cannot enter," according to Deutsche Welle.In some cases, the death threats have actually been carried out. A 38-year-old Afghan mother, for instance, was recently stabbed to death by a "very religious" Afghan man, the report said.Last year, Open Doors provided numbers to show the extent of persecution among Christian converts in German asylum centers.In its report, the nonprofit Christian persecution watchdog said 617 of the 743 respondents included in its survey were assaulted multiple times, with 416 of them subjected to violent attacks, 314 received death threats, and 44 sexually assaulted.Moreover, 674 respondents said the attacks were carried out against them by Muslims who were also refugees in the asylum center.
