They stormed the house and began shooting at the sleeping family. The mother and son were murdered, but the father miraculously survived but with serious injuries:<blockquote>Islamic extremists in Somalia identified as Al Shabaab rebels last month shot to death an underground Christian woman and her son and seriously wounded her husband, sources said.The family was asleep at their home at dawn in Afgoi, about 30 kilometers (19 miles) west of Mogadishu, when at least four armed men attacked them on or around Feb. 10 shouting the jihadist slogan, “Allah Akbar [God is greater],” and, “We cannot allow the defiling of our religion with a foreign, Western religion,” said family head Suleiman Abdiwahab.The 38-year-old secret Christian, a convert from Islam, is recovering from gunshot wounds to his chest near the right shoulder.“The gunmen fired several shots, then destroyed the door with a big metallic object and then were able enter into the house,” Abdiwahab told Morning Star News. “They randomly shot at everyone.”The assailants killed his wife, 35-year-old convert Faduma Osman, and the couple’s 11-year-old son, Ahmed Suleiman. The couple’s two daughters, 13 and 7, and their 9-year-old son were able to escape out a backdoor and have found safe shelter in another town, sources said.Neighbors found the three shot family members lying in their blood. Discovering Abdiwahab still alive, they took him to a local hospital, and he was later transferred to Mogadishu for specialized treatment, he said. Afgoi is located in Somalia’s Lower Shebelle Region.Al Shabaab, which has been battling government forces for more than 10 years, has taken control of farming areas surrounding Afgoi, sources said. Since the beginning of the year the rebels have briefly taken over the city three times, with Somali government forces driving them out each time, they said.Afgoi is thus under control of the Somali government but is vulnerable to Al Shabaab attacks. The insurgent militants, the Somali cell of Al Qaeda, have retreated from major cities but still control some rural parts of southern and central Somalia. Nevertheless, it is important to remember that these girls, while they are not Christians and still need Christ for their salvation, are made in the image and likeness of God, who loves and desires the salvation of all men.While it is important to take care of the certainly physical and material needs of people like these women, the spiritual needs are ultimately the more important ones because after the curtains of this life close, the memories of what ISIS did are a bucket in the ocean of eternity. For those who knew and loved Christ and followed His will, these memories will dissolve in the mercy of God. But for those who did and loved evil, or those who rejected God, they will wish to receive the agony these women went through, because what awaits them is an eternity of misery.Just a reminder.

After all, she is wearing a Hindu "bindi," or a dot on the forehead which the Hindu religious uses to indicate spiritual "enlightenment" and really is pagan. She could be from anywhere, but she would be found in one of the "liberal" enclaves in America, be it in San Francisco, Greenwich Village, Asheville, or Boston, but her opinion would be the same as the millions of young women who claim to have "original" ideas about "women's rights" but are really just following the ideas of old repackaged and sold to them as something new.Again, I do not know her personally, but having seen many things and having a general feel for the zeitgeist, she would seem to fit this model, just in a different place and culture.So is she is somebody that I would probably have nothing to do with, and might even hate Christianity, why did I bother to discuss her story?Something that makes Christianity unique is that Christians, while commanded to fight for the Faith, are commanded to balance force with intellect just as justice with mercy. As much as Christianity stands as a bulkwark against the spirit of the age and will disagree with those who opposed what God has revealed, it likewise is done without being violently disagreeable. This is something that is simply not found in Islam because it teaches that the ends justify the means, or so long as "the will of Allah" and Islam are propagated, there is no limit to how it is spread to others.The difference here is one of measure. For the Faith, one is supposed to take measures against people who become heretics or spread bad ideas in a manner proportionate to the act and which first always offers mercy and not simply resort to the harshest and most violent approach possible. Islam, however, because it denies that man is made in the image and likeness of God, it allows Muslims to respond in ways that disproportionate and objectively immoral yet give them religious license to do so because the people they are attacking are not considered human.This folds into Christian teaching about works and deeds. Christ commands that men act in such a way that through seeing the deeds of Christians, non-Christians would come to be saved by recognizing the hand of God in their actions. Islam is a religion of the devil, and many times, it takes for these Muslims to see what their own religion teaches and in particular, contrasted against what God teaches, in order for them to realize how wrong Islam is and how Christ really is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.Make no mistake, the evils of society must be combatted, for if God became man so that man might become like God, then Christians must purge evil from themselves and from society as they are able to in accordance with their vocation. Part of the way which evil is purges is not just by what Christians do, but what they do not do and the order in which they do what they do, for the Faith emphasizes order, mercy before justice, and proportionality to the crime committed, unlike the bestial, ham-handed approach of Islam.

The narrator says Christians were no longer “dhimmis,” a reference to non-Muslims in Islam who enjoy a degree of state protection. Instead, the group describes the Christians as “infidels” who are empowering the West against Muslim nations.God gave orders to kill every infidel,” one of the militants carrying an AK-47 assault rifle says in the video.In February, a Coptic man and his son were found killed after their bodies were found dumped behind a state-run language school in Al Arish.Saied Hakim, 65, and his 45-year-old son Medhat Saied were believed to have been kidnapped by members of the Sinai Province, according to Daily News Egypt.Saied was shot in the head while his son was burned alive.One week earlier, a veterinarian was assassinated by militants as he was leaving private clinic in a suburb of Al-Arish. She says that seven people were executed by militants just last month, including her friend’s father.
